keepswimming it might just be too early to test?

Ladies who are worried about short luteal phase/irregular periods, I have had Angus castus recommended to me - haven't tried it yet but it's meant to be brilliant for regulating your cycles.

bushprincess · 02/09/2013 18:02

keepswimming you're not due to the 5th are you?? so all is not lost keepsmiling

justhayley any news? hope you're ok

onelifeonechance · 02/09/2013 18:02

Ah Vix sit on those hands, you can do it! Distraction techniques required - what could you try? Baking?? Cleaning?? Exercise?? Art?? What's your thing? Whatever it is you've got 48hours to fill - maybe you could learn a new language, where are you jetting off to? Smile

wispaxmas · 02/09/2013 18:11

Coffee and Disney I completely get what you mean about going out. I feel so old copping out to take the last fast train home before midnight instead of getting wasted and taking the very last painfully slow train at half 1! I'm still only 29, but a total old lady, preferring to stay in on a friday night or just go to a pub with hubby and the dog!

onelifeonechance · 02/09/2013 18:17

Me too VJones - we were at a festival at the weekend and the first night we snuck back to our tent and had an early night and then had to make out to our much cooler and younger neightbours who rolled in gone 4am that we too had had a mad night when the reality was we were tucked up all cosy in our tent before 11pm!! Rock 'n' roll Grin

Choccywoccydodah · 02/09/2013 18:20

Oh no keep swimming Hmm keep testing though, as others have said, may be too early!

Ooooo onelife, I'm in a town beginning with R, with a famous school, and where the game comes from Wink

panicmechanic · 02/09/2013 18:25

OMG SMEP is exhausting! Got smiley face on Saturday... Dtd loads and will continue for the next couple of days. Fingers crossed as I think this will be my last month of TTC. I already have (totally in my head) symptoms.... Btw do you cut out drinking completely in your 2ww? Not much of a drinker but I have a client do this week. Good luck everyone xx

VickyVix · 02/09/2013 18:26

Cooking is my thing onelife DH is going to get a yummy dinner tonight and tomorrow so I avoid POAS!!! I guess the need to pack my suitcase will also keep me busy.

Off to Malaysia :) i so hope AF stays away.

keepswimming stay positive, your due BFP the day after me. I got nothing on tests at the weekend so trying to hold out until Weds, it's not over until AF shows her face

onelifeonechance · 02/09/2013 18:27

I've cracked your code choccy just call me Miss Marple Wink

I'm in a village beginning with K with nothing significant about it, but it's close to the place where they make shiny new cars.

How funny! There's a small part of me breathing a sigh of relief that you're not my next door neighbour when i've told you all my deepest secrets from the bedroom department!!

Sorry for your BFN keepswimming, but don't lose faith if af hasn't arrived yet

nettle86 · 02/09/2013 18:30

Still no sign of AF-2 days late now. But don't want to POAS again cause fed up of seeing BFN. Had really sore boobs all last week and still a bit achy now-i'm hoping that I just don't have enough hCG in my system but i'm sure the bitch will catch me soon.

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 18:31

mummy - I can't remember what they are but apparently there are some bad side effects to agnus castus...

VickyVix · 02/09/2013 18:31

Keep at it panic will be totally worth it in the end :)

I must admit I've had rather a lot to drink in my 2ww I think something in my head keeps thinking if I can't drink for 9 months + I may as well enjoy myself now! Sounds worse now I've written that down :/

Something I read said the bean generates it's own supply of nutrients from yolk sack before it implants so guess it's ok, at least early in 2ww.

Please note: advice not necessarily medically correct, don't want to lead you astray.

mama31 · 02/09/2013 18:35

Thanks onelife, VJ and mummytobe! What would be classes as a high enough dose of B6 for luteal phase?? I take b6 every day anyway and have done for a long time before ttc as its beneficial during my time of the month (ie moodiness/anxiety) but didn't realise its good for luteal phase so wondering what dose should I take???

Also agnus cactus?? What is this and where can I get it? I'm only really on cycle 2 or am I on cycle 1 having had 1 period after pill?! (Sorry bombarding with questions here!!!) I'm just desperate to get a normal cycle...but I was on the pill for a long time (12 yrs with only a couple of short breaks) so maybe my cycle is gona be messed up for a while :( any other reccomendations?? I think I'm gona do opks for nxt cycle (I said I wouldn't but I just need to ensure I'm ttc at the right time)

Keepswimming don't worry might just be too early!

Ladies so glad to hear all your stories and support for eachother! Its very reassuring :)

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 18:40

mama I would recommend opks. I am also on cycle 2 after stopping the pill after 12 years. You need at least 50mg of b6 a day to lengthen luteal phase.

panicmechanic · 02/09/2013 18:47

Thanks Vickyvix! My sister is a doctor and said the same! X

CoffeeGuzzler · 02/09/2013 18:48

There's time yet keepswimming

wispa I am all for heading out to the pub with the hubby and the dogs. I have two cocker spaniels. Only 30. Surprised I haven't taken up knitting yet.

mama opks are great. Go for it.

mrsmummytobe · 02/09/2013 18:48

Ok I seem to have caught the poas bug that's been going around this thread as even though it will be 4 days early I think I'm going to poas tmrw morning!!! I'm sure it will be a negative but I just can't wait much longer lol!! So.... the question is do I use an amazon cheapie (think they are 10 miu) or a superdrug one??

mrsmummytobe · 02/09/2013 18:49

Or actually should I just try & hold out til sat lol?! :)

VJONES1985 · 02/09/2013 18:52

bushprincess · 02/09/2013 18:55

mrsmummytobe · 02/09/2013 19:02
