Ha ha! I wasn't going to post in case you all thought I was some kind of loon after only a little while of being on this fred! I got a nice BFP this morning. Am trying not to get carried away as scan isn't for three weeks but I am secretly freaking out! X

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/10/2013 11:11

bugs I would look for another dog walker too. If your dog doesn't like it, plus the fact it is unsafe for dogs to travel like that without cages, would be enough reason for me to change. Does the dog walker have to put them in a van, can he not walk them from your house?

bugs you don't trust this bloke. Your doggies are so previous. I would look for an alternative.

Congrats to llw, BESH luck indeed!

eurochick · 04/10/2013 13:31

'Ello hags. And 'ello egg buddies. There are a couple of names that are new here but not new to me!

Am mid-catch up but before I forget I wanted to impart my new found love of gin martinis to you. One of the partners I was working with has one as a sundowner every day. He got a couple of us on to them. The hotel bar bill must be exorbitant!

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/10/2013 14:13

In my experience professional dog walkers have professionally fitted / caged vehicles for transportation.

Anyway I just saw a book called 'Gin'll fix it' in a shop and it made me think of the besh!

evilgiraffe · 04/10/2013 14:24

Sounds like you're better off finding a new dog walker, bugs. It sounds like this guy is ringing alarm bells, and neither you nor your dogs need that.

Speaking of adorable cuddlies, one of my neighbours must have got a kitten recently - because she turned up in my garden yesterday and again just now. She's black and fluffy and incredibly springy Grin

Hi euro!

llw congrats, that's absolutely fantastic! How are you feeling?

I am watching Toddlers and Tiaras. I am judging myself for that, yes, but I am judging the woman who said she only had her kids to put them in pageants, and was upset to find she was having a boy because of this, waaaaay more.

Managed some sechsing today. Think its too late, but never mind.

Llw2 · 05/10/2013 09:10

Hey winks, feeling fine just abut freaked out, we have a long way to go so trying not to get excited

Fabuluce · 05/10/2013 10:29

Good morning BESH! I went to see Book of Mormon last night and can thoroughly recommend it (as long as you're not easily offended that is). I actually cried laughing - every song is worthy of being the finale one - there were whoops and cheers for each one - pant wettingly gloriously funny!!

eurochick · 05/10/2013 11:01

Fab we have tickets for a few weeks' time. I'm really looking forward to it!

evilgiraffe · 05/10/2013 11:41

We were thinking of going to see it, fab - friends have and thought it was hilarious. Have you seen orgazmo? It's a Stone and Parker film, in which a Mormon ends up in a porn film...

Fabuluce · 05/10/2013 15:18

No I haven't but it sounds like we might have to....I have seen Team America tho and have to listen to TWH singing America, fuck yeah! A lot.

I have to say that all the Mormons I ever met were super lovely people and even though the musical rips the piss out of the religion it does maintain what a lovely bunch they generally are :).

I did a cattle drive from Utah to Arizona and the family and friends who owned the ranch could not have been more welcoming Smile

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 06/10/2013 14:06

Quiet here hags! We had small people to stay overnight and SB and I are completely wiped out. The plan for the afternoon is babysitting my pasta sauce :)

Any wild happenings in beshland? Thinking of PUPO draf! When was otd again?

evilgiraffe · 06/10/2013 15:49

What's PUPO? I am shit with remembering acronyms. OTD is Saturday, so still a while to go. Stupid progesterone side effects getting my hopes up - massive tingly/painful boobs being the main one...

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/10/2013 16:24

Pregnant unless proven otherwise

eurochick · 06/10/2013 16:50

I've had a quiet one, recovering from the exertions of the past few crazy weeks.

Yesterday we went to the local farmers' market and then spent the rest of the day eating our haul.

Today I went for my first run (well, part run/part walk) in bloody ages as part of my lose-the-chub-and-get-fit-again mission. This afternoon we went for a wander around Greenwich (which was absolutely mobbed). I'm now MNing, putting off filling in forms for the new fertility clinic we are off to see tomorrow and finding the docs I need to do my tax return. Bleugh.

FizzyFeet · 06/10/2013 17:07

Admin - bleugh indeed, euro.

I have had a quiet one too - pottering round farmer's market and the shops. I did a Good Deed by taking an elderly lady who asked me directions round a few shops. She lives in sheltered housing / care home near me and looked a bit frail and disoriented, so I thought I would take her rather than just point in the right direction. At one point as we were walking along she said "I do envy these women and their little children". I had to do a bit of a gulp and a lot of blinking. But I hope that if I get old and batty people in the world will be kind enough to help me out, as people have done for her. She went off into a museum but I saw her near her home from the bus later, so feel relieved that she will be ok. It makes me think about doing some volunteering - would be good to spend some evenings not going to the gym or googling endometriomas cysts!

Hope all you other hags have had good sunny weekends!

Ahh, glorious Sunday. We got up early, watched the formula one, went back to bed and slept for another two hours Grin Then tesco, lunch, and I've been reading all afternoon while HOTB plays Assassin's Creed. Hurrah! Sausages for tea and maybe a film or something later.

Thanks for the explanation, merk! I'm not convinced by PUPO - it really doesn't feel like it though, as I know any and all "symptoms" are just as likely to be down to the fanny candles as anything else. Still, so far so good and now there's only a week until I have to test. My friend's daughter (aged about two, I think, maybe two and a half) said I had "a little bump" yesterday. I'm not sure whether to be mortified or depressed or really really woo hopeful.

Interesting stuff, bugs!

Well done Good Samaritan Fizz :)

MyNameIsWinkly · 06/10/2013 18:15

I've had a lovely day,met a friend for lunch and wandered round the South Bank and Covent Garden doing a bit of shopping. Beautiful weather.

GingerScouse · 06/10/2013 20:03

twirls name change

'Tis I, of the previously male Welsh name (told you all over t'other place).

We've had a lovely lazy weekend - done bugger all apart from watch sports and catch up on TV on our Sky+ (seriously, we were down to about 19%!).

Now CGH is cooking a naice roast chicken dinner and I've made an apple & rhubarb crumble for pudding.

eurochick · 06/10/2013 20:23

I'm confused (easily done) and don't see any news on t'other place?
