Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

bezza thats not fun at all. I think you did the right thing not going out - self preservation is so important. Ive cancelled going out tonight too - feeling anxious, and just want to be safe in my home Grin. Have you ever had a panic attack before?

Congrats penguin we must be the same then as my AF due on Thursday - so I'm 4 weeks and 2 days.

sal stay away from Dr. Google - it 'll only drive you bonkers if you keep reading different scenarios

Thanks for the congrats ladies.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday

NerdyBird · 21/09/2013 22:39

Congratulations penguinita emki and KS78

Nice to see some BFPs this week. Next week is fertile week for me so hopefully we will DTD. i forgot to take my temperature this morning, will have to do better tomorrow. I am ok during the week as i have an alarm for getting up.

The baby shower today was ok, there were a couple of moments where I felt a bit wobbly but nothing too bad. They've all gone to the pub now, but I stayed home to babysit. 6 hours of baby stuff was enough.

LivinItSmall · 22/09/2013 08:31

Congratulations on all the BFPs! I might not post much but reading this thread definitely helps with the positivity Smile
Coming up to the 2ww here so time for imaginary symptom spotting to start...

fedupofrainydays · 22/09/2013 08:50

Congrats on the bfps!! heading off to buy impractical shoes pronto

Stupid spam. I've reported it.

Thanks for all the congrats. I sincerely hope that it is all your turn before long. I've had such great support and giggles from you girls, you all deserve your wishes Thanks

I nearly messed up my CB digi test this morning, I didn't realise how fat the sticks were and I peed in a pot that was too narrow! Pouring the contents ove the stick seemed to work though (2-3 weeks, as it should be). Just thought I would share that in case it stops someone else making the same mistake Smile

I think you did the right thing avoiding the pub nerdy, the combination of alcohol and baby talk when you are feeling fragile is only going to end up in blubbing. Hope you feel better today.

SeasideLily · 22/09/2013 14:47

Huge congrats penguin , Elko and ks78, what a great weekend for it! And so pleased things are going smoothly saggy, I've been thinking of you recently and hoping you were doing well.

I sympathise with the depressed, hopeless feelings over, and the panic attack bezza , I've been really anxious and stressed recently, I don't know how to fix it either. Just hoping life is calming down a bit, but I've written this month off. Feeling quite guilty about drinking this weekend too, but it would have been difficult not to, people would have definitely thought I was pg.

On the unrealistically positive side, i've been wondering if something happened last month, but didn't stick. It really looked like IB before AF arrived, which would mean my remaining tube is clear...I'm probably reading too much into it, but has made me feel a bit better.

SeasideLily · 22/09/2013 14:49

Whoops - emki not Elko! Silly phone.

Floweroct · 22/09/2013 19:20

Great news on all the bfps girls :)

Bezza2508 · 22/09/2013 19:29

I think self preservation is exactly the right way to put it emki. I like to say yes to doing everything and at the moment it is just too much. I had a panic attack once when I was a teenager but that was some years ago now! I'm a natural worrier but its reached a new level at the moment. I don't think a couple of drinks will hurt seaside. I might try yoga and see if that helps with my anxiety. Any yoga fans on here?

Good news about the digi test penguin.

Sorry you had to go to a baby shower nerdy. I don't actually know anyone who is pregnant at the moment (apart from work colleagues) which makes it a bit more bearable.

SeasideLily · 22/09/2013 19:54

I'm a worrier too, bezza - i do Pilates, and I always feel better afterwards, though it's not a magic pill. Really should do it more than once a week, but I'd recommend it or yoga

Sal1977 · 22/09/2013 20:23

I'm in Amsterdam at the moment visiting my little brother and its a wonderful place! DH even pulled I.e a couple of 'working girls' winked at him from their windows! Hehe
Had a sizeable drop in temp today at 10dpo, so interested to see what happens tomorrow. If it goes up, I'm in with a chance, if it stays low or drops, I'm out, which will piss me right off!
DH reckons he's gonna smoke a doobie (which he hasn't done for years) but I'm concerned it'll affect his 2nd sperm test....but hey ho, I guess you've got to live your life!

Chuffed for all the BFPs and wishing it was me! Grin

alyant79 · 23/09/2013 10:42

AF here Sad
Hate to admit it, but feeling very jealous of all the BFPs Envy.
That's 7 cycles post mc now. wtf is going on???? get cracking body.

This is my current positivity: got pg with DD in oct 2010. got pg with MMC in oct 2012. Maybe I can only get pg once a year and that time is coming up!! hoping the next month or two will be the one... (clutching at straws)

OveranxiousUnderated · 23/09/2013 11:00

Sad Sorry AF got you aly...liking your October theory though, fingers crossed!

My temps are slowly dropping and I am expecting AF on Weds or Thurs. Already looked ahead and worked out my fertile days for October! Praying I will ovulate from my non-tubeless side. Would love to be up duffed by Christmas, I imagine most of us would quite like to reach that target too?! Sad

Sal how is your temp today?

x

SeasideLily · 23/09/2013 11:53

Yes, it would be lovely not to be able to drink at Christmas over...Come on October charm! Can you feel yourself ovulating now? I think I can (or my brain is excellent at imagining things) after the surgery, which is odd.

Yes sal - how's the temp? FX.

Last week of 2ww is my least fave time of the month. Doing better each month at not symptom spotting, but still...bring on Friday.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 23/09/2013 12:00

I'll join you with project October. Though this month is bad for us as DH will be away until CD14. And yes yes to the christmas pudding.

Sal1977 · 23/09/2013 14:32

Temp went up slightly today, but not by much...

SeasideLily · 23/09/2013 15:24

Veeery interesting Sal...Trying not to get too excited on your behalf, but sounds good!

Sal1977 · 23/09/2013 16:51

Hmm...I'm not so sure. It was up at 98.17 then dropped to 97.75 then up again to 97.86. Base line is 97.55 Driving me nuts!!

Sal1977 · 23/09/2013 17:08

But I am very spotty and trumpy which is normally a good sign of pg for me! Haha...bad times if I'm not pg, I'm just a grot bag without reason!!

Sal1977 · 23/09/2013 20:35

Sorry about killing the convo with my trump comment...

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 23/09/2013 20:48

Sorry to hear AF arrived Aly, liking your October theory. When I got pregnant with DD (on cycle 16 of TTC) I was convinced that I was going to get my BFP in Feb (from about Nov onwards). Told everyone on the First Time Frolikers thread that I hung about on at the time that Feb was going to be my month. Got my BFP 1st March!

Not sure I could wait till Feb again though, really hoping for a super quick BFP this time (something entirely unprecedented in the YTD household, we are not prompt conceivers).

misschord · 23/09/2013 21:29

I'm sure we could come up with some kind of pg symptom spotting bingo game to while away the 2ww. This week is DTD for me - my DH is at work but has PROMISED not to be home late. (Or if he is, he has to take advantage of me asleep or not! :D)

Sorry about AF Aly, she's a bitch. xx

NerdyBird · 23/09/2013 23:49

I don't think this is going to be my month either.

Did OPK yesterday and there was a bit of a line. Did one just now and very definite negative. Not sure if the fact I've done it really late has an effect but as I'm supposedly due to ovulate on wednesday I'd hoped to have a proper line.

I've also had a problem with cystitis and what appears to be thrush this month so we have hardly DTD anyway. Am hoping things will have cleared up enough to do it at least once.

Sal1977 · 24/09/2013 09:55

Me neither nerdy. Massive drop in temp to just about the cover line. Guess I'm not going to be upduffed by my first due date Sad
