Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

BFN. Sad And I just started bleeding very lightly - AF appears to have come 4 days early. Sad Sad

SeasideLily · 13/09/2013 20:22

Oh no ark what a disappointment, I'm sorry.

Sal1977 · 13/09/2013 20:53

Oh bum bags Ark!!

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 13/09/2013 21:17

So sorry Ark, what a bummer. Sad

Penguinita · 13/09/2013 21:23

Oh no ark, how unfair! Sad

So no BFPs this week, what a shame. We must be due a bumper crop next week then.

Thanks for the link yorkshire, that has cheered me up no end Thanks

OveranxiousUnderated · 13/09/2013 23:05

Sorry about your rubbish news, ark. Sad Thanks

Cd18 for me now, not sure if I've ovulated yet, if I have then it was yesterday. Temp rise this morning but not as high as usual so will see what it is in the morning.

Dtd is really taking it's toll on me and dh now...actually had to resort to syringe and insemination on Cd16 which was also my positive opk day, typical. Still some swimmers is better than none I suppose - just hope they made it in there!

Also had my first reflexology appointment on Weds which was quite good, got one each week so I'm hoping it may help in some way.

Dreading the two week wait now, I hate it.

Hope everyone is doing okay!

x

misschord · 13/09/2013 23:13

Really sorry Ark and everyone else who has BFN.

I haven't POAS - my DD should have been 3 months old today. I'm 16 dpo but my cycle could still be all over the place. I don't think I could take a BFN today. Although if I had a test in the house, I probably wouldn't have been able to resist. If it's a BFN I'll be disappointed (obviously). If it's a BFP I'll be convinced that it's never actually going to result in bringing a baby home. So, tomorrow, to buy or not to buy... (a test).

Anyway, enough wallowing. According to the rules, I have to wait until next Friday, so that's that decided!!!

misschord · 14/09/2013 07:37

AF arrived. Sad

cosmickitten · 14/09/2013 07:50

Ark I'm so very sorry, what horrid news.

misscord sorry AF arrived it feels awful :-(

So yesterday was stressful, got to gp who asked why we were there. Explained they'd asked us in. No notes as to why, so we gave a the whole history. Locum Gp confirmed another very low porgesterone level. We were told even the next 2 tests showed no ovulation no help was able till July.

I got very upset and asked what the point of asking us in and doing the tests was then. Locum was nice, lovely in fact but equally confused so said she would get regular gp to call next week.

Regular gp called later, seems receptionist mucked up as we were only supposed to see him . He wants to discuss us starting clomidas my levels are too low to warrant waiting. Seeing regular Gp on Tuesday to discuss pros/ cons and timescales.

Bezza2508 · 14/09/2013 20:14

Sorry about the BFN OLTT and arkady and for AF arriving misschord. It really does suck.

CD20 and still no positive opk. I think I might have to write this cycle off as an anovulatory cycle. Although we're just about to go to Devon with my parents for a few days so maybe the fact that having sex will be a bit awkward (and quiet!) will encourage ovulation.

Sounds like you've made good progress with the GP cosmic. How are you feeling?

LivinItSmall · 15/09/2013 09:39

Hi - can I join you?
I had a mc in the middle of August and first AF has just finished so we're now officially on the TTC roller coaster again.
I'm guessing this is the place with people who understand how bonkers this is going to send me!

misschord · 15/09/2013 09:43

Hi Livin, this is definitely the place for you - we're all bonkers! Very sorry about your mc - hugs. xxx

NerdyBird · 15/09/2013 10:12

Sorry about the BFN ark. It sucks. And for anyone who has AF.

this month I started try to do temperatures. I'm not very good at taking it at the right time so it's a bit all over the place. This morning the FF app decided I must have ovulated on thursday, which was only cd9! Bit unlikely for a 35 day cycle so I'll keep going and see if it changes again. I have my first full acupuncture treatment on wednesday, a week before my predicted ovulation time.

Welcome livin sorry you have been brought here by sadness as we all have but everyone understands the craziness!

cosmickitten · 15/09/2013 10:53

Welcome little this the best place for support and crazy!!!

bezza I feel quite down actually, it seems that a baby next summer is unlikely. The last 18 months have been so hard and waiting longer seems very hard. Though its not helped by the massive baby boom in friendship circle. There is no rest bite from all things baby and bump. Yesterday I went to buy new baby gifts for a friend and during the long check out line the whole of Ed Sheerens small bump played. That nearly finished me off ! Don't get me wrong I'm happy for my friends but I could do with a baby free zone to lick my wounds in.

I'm hopeful Gp will help (seeing right one on Tues) but will better knowing what happens next!

cosmickitten · 15/09/2013 10:54

Ps sorry livin no idea why it says little- welcome again x

Bezza2508 · 15/09/2013 11:33

Welcome livin. We all understand the rollercoaster so you've come to the right place.

It's totally understandable that you feel down cosmic. The whole situation is bad enough without the extra stress you're under. I had to go to next to buy a present for a three year old the other day and that was bad enough so I can only imagine what it would be like to buy a present for a baby. I guess all we can do is keep hoping that it will be our turn soon. Look after yourself.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/09/2013 11:42

cosmic it is the locum that says July isn't it? Your GP says there is no need to wait and you might just get the clomid prescribed fairly soon? My AF arrived today, 13dpo. I am going to ring and get a GP appointment tomorrow, especially since we can get up to 3-4 weeks wait for non urgent appointments here. I never see the same GP before so I'm not sure should I ask for the one I'm technically assigned to, ask for a female GP only, or go with any they gave me. I'm just hoping to get a sympathetic one.

I can't escape new baby news here either. I got 2 new baby announcements this week from my university classmates.

livin welcome to the thread. May your stay here be short and you graduate with a bump.

cosmickitten · 15/09/2013 12:35

olt yep locum said July. In my pity party, the idea that the best case is a few months before I ovulate and therefore a minimum of a year before a there is chance of baby arriving, is hitting us hard. Will sort myself and feel more positive when a plan is in place!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/09/2013 13:53

cosmic I can completely relate. I'm feeling quite down atm with yet another AF.

LivinItSmall · 15/09/2013 16:39

Thank you for the welcomes Smile
My current crazy is that my SIL is pregnant with almost the exact dates that I would have been Sad so sympathies to all those who can't escape baby news.

SeasideLily · 15/09/2013 16:47

Ditto feeling quite down about it all atm cosmic and OLTT - and sorry to meet you livin, I hope you're not here for very long but that this thread gives you support while you are.

Had brunch with friends yesterday, one with a 2 month old and one with a (dramatically tiny) 5 month bump. On the bright side, the new mum said that hanging out with babies around the time you ovulate is supposed to up your chances of conceiving?! Never heard that one, but maybe it's a straw to hold on to to make these things easier. Another one for the
Project Desperate list...

Currently on day 2 of my pineapple eating, on that subject!

cosmickitten · 15/09/2013 20:36

living you sil's pregnancy must be so hard to cope with at times, life is very unfair at times.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 16/09/2013 08:57

Good morning. Did everyone have a nice weekend?

I rang my GP surgery today and got myself an appointment for 10 Oct. It's a long time away but that is what I expected. I feel at least I'm taking steps and doing something. After looking at the private prices, the NHS would be the last step for us. I really thought it would be £100-£200 for them to do some blood test etc. Given it's only £75 for a first scan. Lets see what the GP says first. I shouldn't be overthinking this.

triplespin · 16/09/2013 09:28

good morning everyone. Sorry to hear that AF got some of you this weekend.

cosmic i hope your appointment on Tuesday goes well. At least you have got the ball rolling and hopefully you will get the right treatment. Its better than not knowing at all and prolonging the process even more.

OLTT good that you have booked a gp appointment at least. How long having you been TTC before and after MC?

I am still in the 2ww - but being prepared to be disappointed like some others on this thread. My temperature has not shown any sustained shift so far - so looks like this cycle is gone as well. I have also caught a cold and so any changes in my temperature are now going to be fairly unreliable anyway. Just as an update though, some of you may recall my worries about lack of ovulation, but FF eventually spotted ovulation on CD 18 (which the thick red line) - so that has somewhat allayed my fears at least on that front.

Sal1977 · 16/09/2013 22:12

Where did everyone go? Grin
