Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

triplespin I'm in Hampshire. I don't even want to know how expensive this would be in London! The clinic I looked at is the one I know everyone is using.

OveranxiousUnderated · 11/09/2013 22:37

Saggy I would like them if still available please. Nearly ran out. x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/09/2013 22:49

Theyre yours Over. PM me your name and address.

misschord · 12/09/2013 00:24

Hmm... 15dpo and a big temperature spike for the last 2 days. This is only cycle 2 since my DD was born, and my last only lasted 16 days, so I know things could still be all over the shop, so I am trying VERY HARD not to be excited. Or terrified. Everything crossed!!!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/09/2013 07:45

misschord have you poas yet? You have the patience of a saint.

cosmickitten · 12/09/2013 08:08

Bugger, had 21 day blood test Monday. Gp has called as it shows no ovulation. Seeing dr again tomorrow, random locum as it will take 3 weeks otherwise!

alyant79 · 12/09/2013 08:42

Hang out for tomorrow misschord. Very exciting!!

Cosmic that's really a bugger :(
But hopefully this result will get things rolling. Agree that waiting 3 weeks would be pointless, so here's hoping that the locum is useful

OP posts:
Sal1977 · 12/09/2013 08:51

The locum I saw was brilliant Cosmic, would really like to see him again if needs be!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/09/2013 09:00

cosmic oh no. Locum might not be that bad. And worst case scenario is another 3 weeks wait. At least you've started the ball rolling.

triplespin · 12/09/2013 09:23

cosmic oh no that doesn't sound good. Is there a chance that the 21day test was not on the correct day? Well hopefully you will find out more. Don't worry about the locum -most likely they will just ask you to repeat the test anyway to ensure they have it correct. Was it your first blood test?

cosmickitten · 12/09/2013 09:37

triple it is too soon to tell if bloodtest was on the right day. It was the first test of three but second this year. I'm expecting to need to repeat test next month. However I'm really surprised to be called into gp's after first test (so a small part of me wonders if the reading was low enough to tick a box and start things happening).

Hopefully locum will be lovely and the solution will be better than wait and see!

misschord · 12/09/2013 11:11

OneLittle I haven't got a S to PO! I feel like I don't want to know yet in case I have an early mc (so much for the posenfrickintivity). I'm going to try and wait until next Friday, maybe.

Sorry Cosmic, hopefully this will be the start of a solution for you.

Bezza2508 · 12/09/2013 19:01

Fingers crossed for you misschord.

Sorry cosmic. Hope the doctor is helpful tomorrow and you get a plan in place.

CD18 here and still no positive opk. Grrr.

SeasideLily · 12/09/2013 21:38

Urgh, I'm pretty sure there's absolutely no chance of a BFP this month, I have been so unbelievably stressed over the last few days I have actually been lightheaded for a lot of it. This is peak OV time, so if stress does make a difference this month is 100% out.

Love that quote sal! DH is being amazing at the moment tbh; I've been having such a hard time at work and with our house renovations (abusive text messages from two workmen this week - properly nasty stuff. Ended up calling the police in tears today about one of them), so we're alright just now. Tomorrow morning's the key I think, then he's away for the weekend and then Sunday should cover it.

So sorry about your test cosmic - does that mean no OV this month, or generally? Because surely one month could be off, but the rest be ok? Is that what they'll start investigating now?

ArkadyRose · 13/09/2013 00:31

I've been astoundingly good and not tested at all since last Friday. Though I've more than halfway concinced myself that what I saw last week was just an evap line after all. I'm feeling a bit crampy & headachy this evening, though AF isn't due till Monday. I'm almost nervous to poas tomorrow. It's a kind of a Schrodinger's pregnancy....

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/09/2013 05:51

It is a very clear BFN for me today. Not even a evaporation line to see. 11dpo already so a real bummer.

Penguinita · 13/09/2013 08:15

Bummer OLTT. But it there is still hope if AF hasn't arrived yet.

Come on arkady, we need to know!

I'm 5 dpo so no POAS for me today. I was naughty and went out for a few drinks last night, that has probably jinxed it for this month.

triplespin · 13/09/2013 08:18

cosmic all the best for this morning.

oltt bummer about the bfn. When is AF due? Could be case of being little early still at 11 dpo.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/09/2013 08:33

Let's hope it is still too early. Temp is still high but there isn't a triphasic pattern. penguinita didn't we concluded that a drunken evening or two is good for bfps?

Penguinita · 13/09/2013 09:30

We did, but I think it was drunken sex that was good for BFPs, so I only managed 50% of the magic formula! Smile
Maybe alcohol helps with implantation

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/09/2013 09:37

If you look at it another way, you've achieved drunkeness and sex in two separate occasions. Grin

SeasideLily · 13/09/2013 10:05

I achieved drunkeness last night and sex this morning, hopefully that counts! Think the stress will undo the booze charm though...

Sundance2007 · 13/09/2013 15:12

Hi ladies, just checking in to see how the Friday POAS sessions are going...good luck to anyone still to have a go, otherwise, fingers crossed for you all if you're in the bonkathon or dreaded 2ww.

So, today would have been my due date (mc in march). I got a bit teary about it this afternoon but realise that I'm also very lucky to be given my second chance. Frickin' Friday the 13th....!

Penguinita · 13/09/2013 17:43

I've had abdominal cramps all afternoon that feel just like period pains. Surely AF can't be on her way already? Sad
Is there such a thing as implantation cramps ?

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 13/09/2013 18:33

Good luck to all POASers. OLTT 11dpo is still pretty early, a false negative is perfectly possible at this stage.

Penguinita I have a few drinks during the TWW in the cycle I got my BFP, I don't think that drunkenness necessarily impedes implantation. And, in the interests of chucking you some more straws, implantation cramping does happen. See the Mumsnet guide to pregnancy for confirmation.

ark any news yet?
