Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Lot not look!!!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 06/09/2013 13:12

Grats to both arkaday and sapphire. It's amazing what stress does to our body, isn't it?

Sal I'd also sit tight and not talk to the psychic. If she's really got the third eye, then you probably don't want to know what she sees. And if she doesn't, she is a parasite that feeds on your emotions. Neither way it's not good.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds 50 shades shit. Christian Grey really gives me the freaks with his controlling, manipulative ways.

Yorkshire One of the most miserable bits of the whole bloody miserable MC experience is having to start up with the relentless compulsory shagging again. I so want to have a bfp just so I don't have to have sex when I don't want to. Sounds grim doesn't it? I told myself I'll not rely on the BBT and CBFM this cycle. Just BD 3 times a week in the entire middle period. (No bfp for nearly 6 weeks is making me doubt the 'scientific' method). Well, we are supposed to BD again tonight, but i don't think I could master it. Given that I know it is 4dpo. It felt pointless and I'm just so tired.

I'm having some really strange food cravings atm. Had a big of crisps two days ago (2dpo), and a sausage roll today (4dpo). This is too early to be pregnancy symptom right? I need some fish slap.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 06/09/2013 13:13

I mean no bfp for nearly 6 months!!! 6 weeks would be amazing lol.

Bezza2508 · 06/09/2013 13:29

Congratulations arkady and sapphire! I love fridays...coming on here to some happy news! I wish I could quit my job...it really stresses me out and makes me very miserable on occasion and I have often thought that must affect TTC.

I'm not looking forward to the compulsory shagging either. It took us 8 months to get a BFP last time and I could tell there were times when both of us (or definitely me in any case!) would have rathered not do it but you do because you're so worried about getting up the duff. It shouldn't be like that!

ArkadyRose · 06/09/2013 16:52

Congrats sapphire! And it's early days yet Yorkshire - you never know, it might be you with a bfp next Friday - fx! I'm not sure if I should thank you for that reminder about clause 4 though - particularly as I have a stash of 20 ICs and a CB digi twinpack in the bathroom.... I am going to be good and not poa-digi-s unless & until I get a bfp on an IC next Friday when it will be CD24 and 14dpo though!

I know what you mean about the relentless dtd; I'm looking forward to an end to the relentless shagathon! I think even DP is getting fed up with it.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend quitting your job for everyone, but it certainly did the trick for me. I actually felt relaxed enough to be more in the mood for starting the shagathon this cycle, whereas I had zero enthusiasm for it last cycle.

Assuming this bean sticks past the date AF would be due, that will just herald the start of a whole load of other worries and after losing the last one at 12 weeks I don't think I'll be able to relax until I get to 14 weeks this time. I dread the thought of a 5th mc. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it I guess.

SeasideLily · 06/09/2013 18:19

What a good news day ark and sapphire, really hope these are your full-term beans. Glad you're taking it one day at a time ark, I think that's the only way to deal with something as big as this.

Sorry you're feeling blue sal - it comes and goes, I find too. About to embark on this months shagathon...deep breath. Well, not literally this minute, but every other night from tonight.

For the record penguin - I found 50 shades unexpectedly enjoyable! I seem to be in the minority on that though...Definitely going to investigate that Black Lace recommendation though sal, I'm going to need it if my BFP stays away for too much longer!

Sal1977 · 06/09/2013 20:26

Haha, a black lace book has pure smut from page 1! It's like all the rude bits from all the rude books you've ever read all rolled into a little paperback.

Penguinita · 06/09/2013 20:53

Ooh, black lace books sound fun! But I just googled black lace and it came up with this, suspect it might not be quite the right one... Black Lace is a British Euro pop band,[1] best known for novelty party records, including their biggest hit, "Agadoo". . Grin

Congratulations arkady and sapphire! I love it when there are BFPs on a Friday. Hope those lines get stronger for you, if you can hold on til next Friday then you have a will of steel Smile

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/09/2013 21:36

Glad it's not just me who fed up with forced shagging. Although when I mentioned to DH that I felt it was all getting a teeny bit forced now, her looked really surprised. I don't think he finds it such a faff as I do.

Ark whilst it is right and proper to save the cb digis until next Friday, if you have 20 ICs then there is nothing to stop you POAS 3 times a day until then! Wink

Thanks Aly for the reassurance re likelihood of a repeat MC. This is my first MC (and hopefully my last) and my worry about having a higher change of MC for now is mainly because I am getting older (37) and your risk of MC does increase as you get older. Having said that, apparently so does your risk of having twins. Apparently once you are over 35 you start to release more than one egg fairly frequently. Maybe your body is starting to realise that you are running out of time to release them, so starts chucking em out on BOGOF?!

For those entering peak shagging week and looking for literature to make you frisky. I found books by Elizabeth Naughton do it for me (got one on the kindle daily deal and ended up with a whole set. A bit more plot between the naughty bits than your average Black Lace book, and definitely better written than 50 shades (I didn't get beyond the kindle sample on that one, far to irritating). I love my kindle, it means I can read all sorts of rubbish without anyone knowing!

alyant79 · 06/09/2013 23:02

I wish I was entering peak shagging week. Should be, but going away from hubby for 5 days tomoz right at critical time. Boo! :(
We snuck in a quickie his morning, but as only 8 dpo not holding out any hope.
Still, I will remember Elizabeth naughten for next cycle. Still refusing to read 50 shades. And seaside, I don't think you can be in the minority with the amount of copies sold worldwide

Yay, congratulations Ark and Sapphire! fx for stickiness. xxx

PinaColadas · 07/09/2013 01:41

Just thought I'd say hello ladies. Writing this with my legs in the air (snort) after finally getting a smiley face on cb digi opk and hoping for a BFP in 2 weeks time. This will be my first ever 2WW and I'm going to need lots of fish slaps because I'm actually tempted to go POAS now pahaha Grin

Penguinita · 07/09/2013 09:40

Hang on in there pina, the 2ww is tough but it is for your own good to avoid disappointment and spending a fortune on sticks! And impressive multi tasking, posting whilst doing gymnastics Smile

I got a peak on my CBFM this morning too, my first one ever! DH has been instructed that he will do his duty tonight. Oh dear, I think I may be going a bit fifty shades... I'm currently finding the book a mixture of titillating and irritating. The lead female character is rather pathetic.

Totally agree yorkshire, I love my kindle as nobody can tell what you are reading. The last book I read before this one was Jane Austen, so I pretend I'm still on that if anyone asks.

ArkadyRose · 07/09/2013 11:15

I have been good and haven't poas this morning. Despite the temptation - because I could quite easily drive myself nuts getting overly obsessed with it, and if it ends up being a CP then I really don't want to work myself up too much.

The kitten is a great distractor. :-)

NerdyBird · 07/09/2013 14:51

yorkshire you asked me about acupunturr, sorry for yhe delay in replying. When I initially rang to ask about it, I mentioned to the lady that it was with fertility in mind. Before the appointment I had to fill in a medical questionnaire and then she asked lots about my periods etc. we talked about other things too such as my hip pain and ulcerative colitis. We're going to work on encouraging ovulation, because my cycle is fairly regular. It's all about balance so hopefully the other things will improve too.

Congrats to arkady and sapphire for the bfps!

Sapphireday · 07/09/2013 15:57

Thanks for the congratulations. I took another pregnancy test this morning and the line was definitely slightly darker. Traces of brownish blood which I'm optimistically hoping are signs of IB rather than AF. Have now armed myself with CB Digital tests for tomorrow!

Very impressed with the will power Ark!

OveranxiousUnderated · 08/09/2013 19:38

Tumbleweed rolls past...

Hoping it's so quiet because everyone is too busy dtd Grin

Impressed with your willpower, ark.

OveranxiousUnderated · 08/09/2013 19:39

How did you get on with the cb digi tests, Sapphire?

x

Sapphireday · 08/09/2013 20:25

It said pregnant 1-2 weeks Over. Still having blood traces, which I'm worried are getting a bit pinker. The number of times I've been to the toilet today to go wipe and check!

OveranxiousUnderated · 08/09/2013 20:45

Ahh I can imagine, Sapphire why does everything always have to be so complicated! It's never straightforward...fingers crossed for you that it is just some form of implantation bleeding or similar and nothing worrying. x

Sal1977 · 08/09/2013 21:50

Hey Sapphire, when was/would AF be due?

OveranxiousUnderated · 08/09/2013 21:55

Have you started your shagathon yet, Sal? Think you are in sync with me...day 13?

x

alyant79 · 08/09/2013 23:03

Oh sapphire I've got my fx for IB...

I'm off at a work do for a few days and drinking my body weight in wine in case I can replace an immaculate conception with an ethanolic conception ( sorry I can't come up with a better pun). Pretty sure I felt ovulation pain today and had ewcm. Haven't dtd since fri am, so if I'm right still in with a slight chance but prob not so best not get my hopes up

OP posts:
triplespin · 09/09/2013 08:37

good morning!

sapphire hope the spotting has stopped. I am sure it must be very worrying - but hopefully you can take it one day at a time.

aly good luck - you may have a chance - never say never ! btw what is ovulation pain like? few people on this thread have mentioned it and given my issue (see below), i'm interested to find out below.

I think I may not be ovulating - my body is gearing up for it but no ovulation taking place as per my BBT. This is the 2nd month in a row now where opk test positive around cd 15 with ewcm but no sign of temperature rise. Its CD 19 today and there is no rise and not sure if we can keep up with DTD. Last month FF recorded an anovulatory cycle, though I did have a temperature spike around CD 21. Any advice on whether I should speak to my GP? I have a feeling that they will just fob me off, because its only 3 months post m/c and hence not long enough and they may not even understand this whole temping thing. I would just like to know whether I am really ovulating or not !! Thinking of going to one of the fertility centres privately which do the testing as I am not sure how convincing I will be in front of the GP.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 09/09/2013 08:52

sapphire lets hope it's harmless IB. I know how worried you must be. I was constantly going to the toilet wiping too before my second MC.

triplespin I would go and see my GP, but be ready for them telling you that charting isnt' accurate etc etc. And that you need to have been trying for 1 year before they'll refer you. (Especially you are only 3 months since mc). If you can afford private, I'd definitely go there. NHS provisions are supposedly very patchy. I'm going to see my GP after this cycle because I would be 6 months of TTC since 2nd mc. I know my GP would fob me off. But I'm prepared to go private (because I'm that desparate)!.

As for ovulation pain, it's supposed to be a bit of a pain on one side where the ovaries are. But I've never had that. I think many doesn't. I guess it depends on how high your pain threshold is? I can apparently stand a lot of pain without feeling it. (I didn't find labour painful, and neither of my 2 mcs). You could be like me? So stop worry yourself silly triplespin.
