Come one, come all and join our rollicking new thread with slightly updated brand new rules

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

High heels all the way penguin. Tempt fate to the utmost.

Is 50 shades working for you so far?

OP posts:
YorkshireTeaDrinker · 05/09/2013 21:42

Another vote for heels. Anything that makes you feel good.

SeasideLily · 05/09/2013 21:59

I'm with Sal. Plus tempting fate by buying fab boots = guaranteed bfp so you can't wear them!

JBrd · 05/09/2013 22:11

Penguin, get the heels! Anything to make you feel good Smile
And stay away from the pile of shite that is 50 Shades. Hours of your life you'll never get back! Wink

ArkadyRose · 05/09/2013 22:52

I agree - ditch the 50 Shades crap! It's only bad BDSM Twilight fanfic with the names changed anyway.

Yorkshire I'll only be 8dpo but I'm not going to pass up my chance to poas! Grin I've been feeling a bit crampy today too. Undoubtedly it' ll be a bfn but you never know!

Penguinita · 05/09/2013 22:55

I'm liking this proposal! Buy fabulous shoes now, and then get to go shoe shopping again if pg! Grin

I'll give my verdict on fifty shades in a few days. It is certainly making me think about DTD a lot more, rather than what I'm going to buy at the supermarket or what I have to do at work, so at least I'm in the right frame of mind!

Penguinita · 05/09/2013 22:56

P.s. good luck to the POAS ers tomorrow, fx for you

Sal1977 · 05/09/2013 23:38

I agree about 50 shades, thought it was crap. If its a bit of girly porn go for a Black Lace book...really rude without pretending to be a good story!! Fnar!

ArkadyRose · 06/09/2013 07:44

So, I poas this morning - I know it's only 8dpo, but dammit I'm not passing up a legit chance to poas without getting fishslapped! Grin

And... I think I got a BFP! GrinGrinGrin A verrrrrry faint one - but it's there, and it's pink not grey so definitely not an evap!

It's going to be very hard to resist the urge to poas every morning for the next week, but I shall try to be strong and hold off until next Friday. Smile

Anyone else poas yet? Yorkshire?

OveranxiousUnderated · 06/09/2013 07:55

Wow, Ark Grin Great news...fingers crossed for you. Was it you who just quit your horrible job?! If so I might hand my notice in...!

Cd11 for me...'low fertility' on my monitor and yet to commence the shagathon this month! Trying to hold out and start later...

x

Wow ark, that's great. Shall we all quit our jobs?

OP posts:
ArkadyRose · 06/09/2013 08:24

Overanxious Yes, it was! The lack of stress obviously did the trick! Grin I had a good feeling that this time it might be my turn. It's only one very faint bfp testing very early though, so I'm not counting chickens (or babies!!) just yet or making any big announcements.

Sapphireday · 06/09/2013 08:35

Congratulations Ark! Great news.

I, to, POAS this morning, not expecting anything as in over 3 1/2 years I have never got pregnant naturally. I hesitate to call it a BFP, but my DP did confirm there was definitely a line there. Amazed, but trying not to get my hopes up as my last pregnancy lasted all of 4 days from finding out. But, today at least, it appears that I may be pregnant!

alyant79 · 06/09/2013 09:09

oooooh sapphire wow! I really really hope that this one sticks around for a lot more than 4 days - let's say, about 9 months :)

kat lovely scan news :-)

baking welcome back, I'm so glad you have some answers hope this is the start of a happy ending for you! Also thank for the massive amount of support you have me post mmc despite all the awful things you were dealing with at time. You really helped me cope x

yorkshire welcome, sorry that u are here but this a very supportive place to be x

seaside congrats on new job here hoping it'll peak SIDS law into action too !!!

penguin i agree with the others lovely bling shoes all the way !

I love poas Friday :-) ark escape from horrid job and bfp :-) congratulations tis wonderful news.

Sapphire congratulations that is wonderful news.

I'm in what would be the start of 2ww but I've had no signs at all of ovulation so don't think I'll be waiting for much (crazy hope remains). I'm very very glad gp has agreed to re start fertility tests this month. I feel a bit better knowing that we'll have some answers after 3 cycles

triplespin · 06/09/2013 09:30

I love Fridays - waking up to BFP news ! Congrats Ark and Sapphire. So can we add 'quit your job' to the list of project desparate?

I am on CD 15 and still no positive on opk. Normally we only start around 2-3 days before expected ov date. This time around we are trying the every 2 days approach since CD 10, though it seems its been a waste to start so early, given ov hasn't happened so far. BBT has been really steady as well this cycle - so hoping when ov does happen, I should be able to detect it straight away.

penguin go for high heels ! You can always do more practical shopping after your bfp.

baking good to see you here, I appreciated all your advice and support when I was going through my mc.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/09/2013 09:34

Fantastic news ark. And a quick check of the rules indicates that, according to clause 4, you can POAS every day from now on. So go for it, I don't think I can wait until next week for firm confirmation of your BFP!

As for me, its a pretty unambiguous BFN here. Not unexpected at 9dpo, my previous pregnancies didn't show a BFP until CD32 (of a 27/28 day cycle). So I shall just have to be patient and wait another week. And presumably AF will show up sometime before then anyway. TTC sucks.

One of the most miserable bits of the whole bloody miserable MC experience is having to start up with the relentless compulsory shagging again. Except this time, not only am I pissed off cos the chances of a BFP are pretty bloody remote (we are now averaging one BFP for every 19.5 cycles TTC), but now, even if I get another BFP, there's a higher probability that it wouldn't bloody well stick! Grrr. Angry

Sorry for the rant, I know you all know this. And I'm I a much better position than many other folk (already have a lovely DD, fully operational plumbing, I know I ovulate). But I am feeling like it's just not fair at the moment.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/09/2013 09:39

Ooh and didn't spot Sapphire's post. Wonderful news. Really hope today's BFPs stay the distance. And whatever else may or may not happen, today you are pregnant, savour that feeling.

Sal1977 · 06/09/2013 10:06

Congrats on the mini BFPs, hopefully they'll become big big fat ones in the next few days!!

CD11 here today so about to start the big bonkathon today or tomorrow bit still spotting slightly at the moment. Feel like shite today, really teary and down in the dumps! All the others at work have got a psychic medium coming in at 5pm to do readings and while I like to think its real and true, I do sit on the fence with it and an a bit scared to have a reading in case it's upsetting (true or not). Should I or shouldn't I...?

alyant79 · 06/09/2013 10:23

yorshire i can't remember if this was your first or second mc, but if it was either then you don't have a higher chance than average of the next bean also not sticking. It's not until you hit mc number 3 that it starts to be a bit of a concern - that's why they don't like to do any sort of investigations until after 3 in a row, and even then you might just have had a run of bad luck. If you consider that possibly 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in a mc it's really a wonder that any of them actually stick!

OP posts:
alyant79 · 06/09/2013 10:25

sal i'd stay away from the psychic, esp if you're already feeling teary and emotional.

OP posts:
cosmickitten · 06/09/2013 10:31

sal psychic sounds like a bad idea if you're feeling wobbly. There is a lot to be said for self protection.

Sal1977 · 06/09/2013 11:05

Right, that's what I thought! Although I'm not sure if I believe it or not, I'm a dweller, so prob not a good idea!

cosmickitten · 06/09/2013 12:37

sal maybe treat yourself to something nice tonight. Favourite food, good film and sometime to heal. You been through an awful look x
