The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Boomgoestheweasel · 12/08/2013 20:17

Am ok thanks bunny, in a better mood than this morning. I think I'm just unbelievably anxious about this pg and am taking it out on dogs/Mr Boom/poor berries that are too close by when I have a tantrum. Have you tried acupuncture (can't remember....)

In other news, I got a job interview today for next Tuesday. Anyone know what the rules are about already being diffed when employment starts in NHS...?

BlindKitty · 12/08/2013 20:25

boom only about 4 times.... Just ic though. Does boomdog2 have diarrhoea?

bunny you're already doing everything you can, it's just taking some of us longer than others Smile

RevoltingPeasant · 12/08/2013 20:27

Boom as my RL friend said recently, don't worry, when you get pg it'll just give you a whole lot of other things to stress about! Welcome to motherhood, I suppose Grin

In re my sister, I think I wouldn't be doing it for my maternal feelings, but out of sympathy for hers iyswim. As in, I know how anxious and sad this is making me, and what stress it has out on my relationship with DH. I can't imagine if someone said to me, that's it, no chance, ever. It must be heartbreaking for her, and however much giving away the baby might hurt me, it'll hurt her a hell of a lot worse never to have that chance.

But yes, I do need to honk about it more..... She is having surgery in early Oct so I don't know how much time I have left to decide though! Would be awful to tell her too late that I had been prepared to do it....

marie456 · 12/08/2013 20:29

Boom if you're moving trusts within the NHS then your service is just looked at as continuous. If you're completely new to NHS then you need 12months service to qualify for full 52 weeks mat leave.

BlindKitty · 12/08/2013 20:35

Oh dear boom, marie is right. Have you found a job yet?
Speaking of leave, if my fertility treatment works my Dh won't get any paternity leave as he's starting a new job!

Boodle9 · 12/08/2013 20:45

Spotting. Sad

Bunnygirlie · 12/08/2013 20:58

Oh boodle Sad hugs, come sit by me on the sofa x

boom yay for the interview, FX for you!

I have reflex but haven't tried acu yet.

If you fancy a chuckle, check out this thread-

Boom, there is some info on mat leave/pay in the NHS here

www.nhsemployers.org/SiteCollectionDocuments/Indicative_Flowchart_for_Doctors_in_Training_July_2013_AP010813.pdf

(I know it says for doctors but I think most of the info is relevant.)
It looks like you'll be entitled to the leave but not the pay. You won't be able to get SMP but you will be able to claim MA instead.

ladybunnikins · 12/08/2013 21:07

Bunny, I saw that thread the other day, it started off really well but then seemed to descend into bickering about being middle class.

ladybunnikins · 12/08/2013 21:10

Boodle, so sorry to hear that.

Tallyra · 12/08/2013 21:19

hugs to you boodle, I'm sorry AF looks like she's on her way. and to everyone else that's getting crappy spotting and other AF symptoms. They suck. Big time.

On the other hand, I've been really on edge today. I think it's finally hitting me that this is the same damn roller coaster ride I was on before and I didn't much like it. I've spoken to the lovely epu nurse who has been amazing and booked me a scan for just before we go away, and also gave me lots of advice which I already knew anyway but it was good that she knew her stuff about pre-emptive meds and seeing my gp. I've also got a phonecall tomorrow morning with the Pregnancy Sickness Support volunteer co-ordinator. It was supposed to be her vetting me for volunteering to visit people with HG - it may end up with me signing up to get help, who knows.

Help me now, I'm getting scared. Definitely not up to the happy part yet, that'll come after I reach 10 weeks for the first time, and I'm only 4 now. (despite only being fertilised 2-3 weeks ago. Doctors are weird, they ironically count me as being pregnant before my hysteroscopy, which I definitely wasn't pregnant for or they would have thrown me out!)

Pipbin · 12/08/2013 21:28

Boodle AF can fuck the fuck off. I'll have words. She won't dare show up after that.

With regards to middle classness, my friends pointed out that I can be shockingly middle class at time when I offered the breakfast options of yoghurt and granola, croissants or pain au chocolat (waitrose of course).

Boomgoestheweasel · 12/08/2013 21:38

Tally I've very much not at the happy part yet either, I'm basically terrified so feel free to message me if you want to voice all your worries. I don't think I'll calm down until 12 weeks minimum. It doesn't help that last MC was at 10wks on holiday in Cornwall...and guess where I'll be at about 10 weeks this time....

But I promise I'm trying to look on the bright side, I really am aware that I'm so lucky to have even the hope of things working out this time and I'm sorry berries for moaning when I'm diffed!

Boodle that sucks Sad

Thanks for all the info on mat pay. Didn't think I'd be entitled, but hey ho, small price to pay!

Bunny haha that thread is my life. I'm SO middle class, I'm currently cooking quinoa.

CharmingCats · 12/08/2013 21:40

Glad you're feeling better, bunny . I completely understand the feelings you expressed and they are perfectly natural. It's such a roller coaster.
tally. Can't imagine how you must be feeling, but very glad you're getting support and good care. Sending you positive vibes.
boodle thanks for the offer of freebies! Sorry the spotting has started but chuffed for your luteal phase. Remind me what you've done differently. I think this is becoming an issue for me too. I've started spotting at 10 dpo a couple of times now. Going to bring it up when I see fc at the end of the month.
pip so glad you've got the go ahead for Wednesday.
Well done on the interview, boom !

RevoltingPeasant · 12/08/2013 21:44

Ohhhh boom so sorry, when I made that stupid crack earlier I didn't realise you had mc before. Really sorry

BlindKitty · 12/08/2013 21:46

boodle I'll gladly take that af off your hands!!!

tally can't imagine how you must be feeling but try to stay positive. This is a whole new pregnancy and you'll be better prepared this time (with getting support, etc)

Bunnygirlie · 12/08/2013 21:56

Oh tally it must be very scary, I cannot imagine finally getting pg and then going through one or more mcs, hugs to you and boom too

Oooh lots of middle class berries, tally-ho Wink

pip next month can you tell my AF to fuck the fuck off pretty please Grin

cats thanks, how are you?

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 12/08/2013 22:03

Fret not Peasant it'd take a lot more than that to upset me - your friend is right, after all! Wink

Keep us updated on your honks Grin I love a good typo me

RevoltingPeasant · 12/08/2013 22:06
Blush
Boodle9 · 12/08/2013 22:08

Charking, it's my first month of clomid. Most of my frenziedgoogling suggested that clomid isn't renowned for lengthening luteal phase but in my case it certainly has - by 5 days.

Boodle9 · 12/08/2013 22:08

Darn it. Charming, not Charking.

Tallyra · 12/08/2013 22:21

also, don't worry about taking antihistamines. the anti nausea meds that I am about to start taking to reduce the chance of hg are antihistamines, cyclizene.

CharmingCats · 12/08/2013 22:30

God, I hope I don't become a loud parent....enjoying the middle class thread, but it is descending into bashing, so may leave it.
I'm 1dpo and boobs sore already....earlier than normal. Opk etc on the same cd as last cycle. Funny, eh?!
Part of me wonders what I'd do if I actually got diffed. Cry? Run to waitrose for some humous?
boodle I thought it was clomid, but didn't want to get it wrong. So, there are 3 berries on clomid at the mo?
barking hope you're enjoying your holiday.
I've had quite bad cramps for the last couple of days, must be ov. Do you ov once the pain has finished, or in the middle?
Had a full squirt this eve! Hurrah!
