Anyone trying for no 3?

ELR · 30/07/2013 15:10

Going to start trying for a third in August, I already have a dd10 and a ds7. I don't mind a boy or a girl but if I could choose I would choose a girl as still have all dd gorgeous little dresses and cardigans don't know what happened to ds clothes!
Anyone else mad enough to try for a third??

Ok wtf. I am SO achy. Did think it might be my gut Blush but it's really low down. Not quite bad enough for painkillers but fancy curling up with a hot water bottle.

What can it be? Even if we got lucky this month (unlikely with timings) then surely it hasn't even implanted yet nor big enough to be stretching everything. Terrified my aging body has released all remaining eggs and I'm pregnant with octuplets

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 12:00

I'm wondering when my cycle goes back to normal after a false start... doc said to wait a month before trying again but I highly doubt that will happen! This time I'm going to wait until I am a couple of weeks late to test, four +'s then loads of bleeding didn't do much for my confidence!

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 12:03

How old are you guys? I'm 38 and wondering if I'm the only oldie trying for No 3

pommedechocolat · 23/08/2013 14:06

I am so jealous of the trying. We're starting december.

You made me giggle threegomad! That would be 10 children....

three from desire - please explain in great detail moving from 2 to 3. How old are your dcs?

I think we should create a roll call.

I will start:

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec

charleslingus · 23/08/2013 14:21

Oh, yes threefrom, please tell us how it was for you and what kind of age gap you have? Don't sugar coat it, we can take it!

I'm on a tablet and can't figure out how to cut and paste but:

Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept

ThreeFromDesire · 23/08/2013 18:48

pommedechocolat - 32, dds 3.5 and 18 months, ttc no 3 from dec
Charleslingus 31, ds' s 9 & 11, cycle 3, bfp 15th Sept
ThreeFromDesire 32, 12, 8 and 6, cycle 8, ttc#4, bfp 30th August

Two to three was a cinch! Just under two years gap between the last two and they get on famously most of the time
It's not really an issue from two to three except for when booking silly travel lodge rooms pre airport or utilising the family ticket options at attractions! Your car can stay the same and food shopping isn't too different cost wise.

Three to four means new minivan car and at the minute mine have a bedroom each plus we have a spare room which is handy but one more puts us at max capacity. I can't wait lol. I'm the eldest of nine and will go to five-seven or whatever I can squeeze in in between uni and work...

mypavlova · 23/08/2013 19:05

hey onefunkymama we are going for 3 and I am 43. You are a spring chicken!

pommedechocolat · 23/08/2013 23:03

three - what car do you have? Do three car seats fit along the back of 'normal' cars?

onefunkymama · 23/08/2013 23:05

Cool! To join the above
Onefunkymama 38, dd10 and ds 8, ttc #3 bfp on 4th cycle but went wrong, now on 5th cycle

ThreeFromDesire · 24/08/2013 08:33

pomme
I've had several cars with my three brood but not had many years where I have needed three car seats at the same time. When I did I had the fiat multipla which is a six seater so I'm not much help to you on that front. The two youngest have gone rear facing until the age of four as well so wrt car seats and cars I'm probably not the most conventional person to ask.

I have at the minute got an Alfa as just downsized last year from a Renault espace (bloody amazing car) as hadn't decided on dc4 then! Looking at the new carens now with its flippy boot seats.

ELR · 24/08/2013 09:32

I will add my stats too:
ELR- 36, dd10, ds7 ttc #3, cycle 1, BFP 29th August

I am symptom spotting like mad and its driving me crazy!
Had light cramping for last 2/3 days then yesterday thought I had a slight tinge of pink when I wiped having a wee, so was thinking implantation bleed. But then this morning had a headache and raised temp just like I do on the morning of my af! Boobs are sensitive and I have been having vivid dreams arrggg its driving me mad can't wait to Poas!!

TwoCrazyKids · 26/08/2013 11:21

How is everyone doing??

My boobs are really really tingly the last few days. I tested this morning and there is a very very very slight line but not sure if it is an evap...I don't know when I ovulated (had really sore boobs and one sided hip pain on the 14th) so if I ovulated on 14 th I'm 12dpo but I could be less as not really up to scratch on all this conceiving malarkey...

pommedechocolat · 26/08/2013 15:39

ooooooooo sounds good two. 1st bfp on the thread?!

ELR · 26/08/2013 16:14

Ooh two sounds good a line is a line!! Congrats!
I tested last night as my boobs are killing me but it was a bfn! Not due on till thurs/fri so still might be a chance but prob not!

OP posts:
TwoCrazyKids · 26/08/2013 20:36

I don't know if it was a bfp. I've no more tests left. Going to get one in the morning. The line is defo there as sil saw it too... I don't want to get my hopes up because I've got evaps before.

ThreeGoMad · 26/08/2013 21:32

I'm in the line is a line gang, so will offer tentative congrats Grin How long did it take to appear? Fingers crossed for the morning.

I'm 37 for whoever asked ages - so officially past my unofficial cut off time for getting pg again but ach, who's counting? Wink

I am trying not to symptom spot as still only a measly 5 DPO Blush so from my obsessive googling couldn't have any symptoms anyway as possible fertilised egg hasn't even implanted yet even if this is our month ... BUT have been incredibly thirsty over the past couple of days and according to Google this can be a symptom (but then, according to Google almost ANYTHING can be a symptom Wink).

Need to get some ebay cheapie tests but can't decide whether to get pg tests plus OPKs or just be optimistic and just get pg tests. Might get both and hope that sod's law kicks in and means the OPKs are unneeded ...

ELR · 26/08/2013 22:10

three just had the same dilemma but just went for pregnancy tests in the end £2.69 for 20 on amazon!

OP posts:
TwoCrazyKids · 26/08/2013 22:31

It came up within time limit but I'm not sure if it is grey or pinky. It's too faint to tell...I feel very weepy and really hot tingly boobs, I'll test tomorrow anyway..I hate symptom spotting!!!

ThreeGoMad · 26/08/2013 22:38

That's allowing for some impressively obsessive testing Grin Hadn't thought of Amazon, will take a look.

pommedechocolat · 27/08/2013 10:44

How did it go two?

TwoCrazyKids · 27/08/2013 11:31

It's darker again! I think it's a bfp Grin It's still very faint...

TwoCrazyKids · 27/08/2013 11:40

Meant to say, it wasn't first morning urine, it was my second wee of the day Blush

ELR · 27/08/2013 13:36

Yippeeee!! Well done two its a def line now. Congrats!!

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 27/08/2013 13:57

Whoop whoop!! Thats very exciting two! Congratulations. How are you feeling? Have you told your dh?

27mummmy2boys · 27/08/2013 15:30

Would love another!
