Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Incidentally barking it's actually possible to ovulate during AF, believe it or not! And you can certainly O just after it x

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 17:01

Sorry, more x posting! There's no provision for fertility treatment in my area barking, the local NHS trust doesn't fund it at all and I don't have a spare £8k lying around unfortunately!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 17:10

Barking I would say you're more likely to O a few days after AF than you are to have an LP of 3 days.
Do you think this is def AF or just spotting?

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 17:20

Boom that's awful, I hate the postcode lottery system it's so unfair. I know we're very lucky to fit the criteria for funding in our area as we wouldn't be able to find the money for it either.
Go the clomid!!! At least you're in the happy percentage success rate with it, so even if you don't catch the bfp helicopter this time round I'm sure you'll grab the rope before Christmas Grin .

And O that early?! We never dtd during AF so we'd have zero chances of getting upduffed!! Good job I've never O'd before cd19!!

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 17:32

merk not convinced this is actually AF for that reason. pointless tmi alert. I wiped yesterday and there was a tiny amount of very pale blood, kind of slimy as if mixed with cm. We were just about to leave the house for the whole day, on bikes, so although there was very little there I played it safe and used a lite tampon. When I changed the tampon 8 hours later there was a tiny amount of blood on the end. I took the 2nd one out before bed and there was a trace of blood on the end, not really anything much. No blood overnight and none this morning. Yet.

RevoltingPeasant · 09/08/2013 17:38

barking so you do you think.... you might be...

?!

Thanks for the fertility friend ref! Yes I had heard of it but haven't looked properly though. Will do so!

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 17:40

Just been pootling on the internet, found several sources saying that even though you should ovulate 8-10 days after finishing clomid, it can take up to 3 weeks. So now feeling rubbish that we stopped dtd at day 20 (Mr Boom needed a break!)

Barking that sounds promising....keep us posted! Hope she stays away! And yes, postcode lottery sucks massively Sad x

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 17:57

OMG haycorn I would have lunched that woman, retirement do or not!!! How very dare she!

boom the postcode lottery sucks serious ass!

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 18:01

The law of sod just laughs at me doesn't she? More spotting, this time the browner, stringy sort. Still very little though and not enough to warrant use of a tampon apart from the fact that I'm planning on sunbathing by the pool in a bikini this afternoon and won't be doing that unprotected
Will chat to DP later and see what he thinks about starting the next clomid tonight or not.

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 18:14

haycorn I missed that until bunny referenced it, that's awful. Did anyone else hear what she said? I would have exploded! but probably in private in the toilets I remember a collegue when I was in my early 20's saying that she never realised before having children how much she didn't know and how much better her teaching was now. I was single and young and not thinking babies but I still remember how much that assumption pi55ed me off even then. How dare she assume she was a better teacher than me purely because she'd pushed out 2 kids?!?! And that wasn't even directed at me, it was conversation she was havig with another teacher in the staffroom. Thank god your horror of a woman is retired and you don't have to face her again!! I shall launch some sausages in her direction for you.

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 18:17

Barking I'm not going to mention the 4 days of brown spotting I had

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 19:00

Haycorn, barking the assumptions some people make are just gobsmacking. I often get asked if I've got kids at work and when I say no people act as if I have no right being a midwife. Can be so upsetting, I think you were far more polite than I would have been in that situation!

happylass · 09/08/2013 19:06

Boom I am completely Shock that you can't get ivf on the nhs!! I had no idea some areas don't fund it at all. Thats disgusting!! Actually have no idea what the rules are for where I live but I do know some people locally that have had it so it must be available in some shape or form

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 19:19

I know happy. Fecking pandas get IVF in this country, but I'm not entitled to it! If it came it, we'd move, but that's a long-term solution as we can't afford IVF or to move house at the moment!

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 19:21

Helloooooooooooo

So who is round tonight for a natter?

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 19:22

Me! Come and cheer me up Bunny, I'm in a horrible black hole of a mood. How's knicker-watch progressing?

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 19:39

Hey boom Whassup Hun?

Knicker watch still clear so different to last month but still time to change I guess ever the pessimist

BlindKitty · 09/08/2013 19:47

boom and barking I'm sorry clomid isn't going as you'd hoped. I was just like you, if you remember, and I was crushed when it didn't work, yet it wasn't likely to since I already ovulate. I was a bit worried about you getting your hopes up before you started but its often not the 'magic' solution we so desperately wanted it to be. barking I think next cycle you need your progesterone levels checking. If your consultant won't do it then your gp easily can. You just need a 21 day blood test. Having said all this, I still think you should see it through, and really do hope you have better luck than me

So 1 more day left for my ironic bfp. As if encountering fertility treatment isn't bad enough I've got the baby shower I've planned for tomorrow, followed by a christening on Sunday! MUST STAY STRONG!!!

Anyway, just so you know, this baby shower is going to be the best god damn baby shower ever! I've booked her in for a pedicure, made cupcakes, bought lots of decoration tat, got the champagne flutes ready for pretend champers, have made advice to mum / advice to baby notes for people to fill out oh and I've done a quiz....hands up who thinks I'm overcompensating for being so jealous inside???????

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 19:57

Oh I don't know Bunny! I think my hope is fast fading, and even the fact that I'm in a bad mood is worrying me in case it's PMT. Like Kitty says, I'd put all my rotten eggs in the clomid basket, and I hadn't really admitted to myself that it just might not work. The realisation that we've run out of options if it doesn't has just reared its ugly head I suppose!

Hooray for AF staying away!

Kitty please will you do my baby shower when I get diffed with clomid twins?

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 19:58

Oh kitty you are an angel, I couldn't have done that!

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 19:58

I'm going to phone the GP tomorrow about getting progesterone checked next month too kitty. Really is shocking that they don't check that it's working.

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 20:06

Just messaged a friend on FB to get some sympathy. Sadly all I got was a pregnancy announcement Sad Now in tearful meltdown Sad

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 20:08

Oh you have got to be kidding me, does she know you are struggling?

Hugs x I'm in bookface now if you want a natter x

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 20:20

Yeah she knows. I don't think she did it on purpose, I'd only just said hello so she didn't know I was after a shoulder to cry on!

BlindKitty · 09/08/2013 20:26

boom oh did I make you cry? I cried when Gail to me it might not work (and she was right Sad). Really hope I haven't upset you, just didn't want you to have further to fall. I actually mentally designed my whole nursery (in the 'once upon a time' mammal and papas range). I've now converted it back to a plain old magnolia box.

Oh and of course I will plan your shower [Grin]
