Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Oh barking, I'm so sorry you are having problems with the tablets. I can't offer any advice as I've never even looked into them let alone taken them. But I can offer you a huge hug, and a cuddle with Tallydog who is curled up in my lap. Envy

Boodle9 · 09/08/2013 07:18

Well...I spotted this cycle from 4 dpo for about 4 days and now it's buggered off again. Can you hold off taking your clomid until the evening of day 2 so you at least get to see what's going on? (I've read that lots of people take it in the evening so as to sleep through any immediate side effects.)

ladybunnikins · 09/08/2013 07:19

Blindkitty, AF is due around the beginning of September, I then have to phone them to get an antral follicle count scan in the first 4 days and then I start menopause-inducing injections on day 21. The ovary stimulating injections don't start until the following cycle.

Gillster · 09/08/2013 07:21

It's a tough decision Barking but I would leave off the Clomid until you get home and you can measure things properly. You won't really be skipping a cycle you'll just be au natrelle and although it's frustrating, one month in the grand scheme of things is nothing really. Don't let these issues ruin your holiday.

Your AF sounds ridiculously light. Is your issue that you don't have a thick enough endometrial lining to support an embryo? I don't know anything about this but thought I'd throw it out there.

Boodle9 · 09/08/2013 07:21

And I should add I've never had spotting that hasn't turned into AF before either. Maybe your body is doing the same as mine? (Remember, if I hadn't been temping, I'd also be convinced that I hadn't ovulated.)

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 07:24

There's a chance it could be an implantation bleed barking, although dont want to raise your hopes unnecessarily. Agree with boodle, hold off on the clomid until tomorrow night, I don't think it matters what time of day you take it and at least then you'll have a better chance of knowing what's what x

Gillster · 09/08/2013 07:24

Also correct me if I'm wrong but could Barking and Boodle's spotting a few days after OV actually be implantation bleeding?

Bunnygirlie · 09/08/2013 08:41

Morning!

barking sorry to hear you're feeling low.

Here on loo roll watch, still nothing! I think my body is fecking with me grrrrrr for the latest on loo roll watch tune in this evening Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 08:43

Barking can you be absolutely certain you didn't O much earlier in your cycle?
Implantation bleeding at 3 or 4 DPO is too early, but at 10 DPO is much more likely.
Also, I don't think your doc needs to know whether you took the tablets in a specific cycle. Therefore your FC is still December, as what you do and what you tell him are 2 separate things Wink

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 11:47

Thanks for the replies Berries! (3.30am here so you can I'm managing not to think avout this ha ha).
Gillster I never linked my ridiculously light periods with a potential lining problem, but when you mention it it could make sense. I did tell the gp, nurse, fc etc that I have ridiculously light periods but no one said anything about it. definitely not going to obsessively google that immediately at this time in the morning
Merk until day 18 when I left the county and left my stuff at home I was using opks, cbfm and temping. Even if clomid was messing with one method I doubt it was messing with all three!! Definitely no O. This wouldn't be a suprise without clomid as I'd usually O on cd19 or cd22 according to past cycles. So if O did happen on cd19 I would be 6dpo yesterday, maximum 7, if opks didn't pick up my surge (wasn't around to temp to see a rise on 19). Oh, and clearly when I did or didn't take my clomid is none of my useless consultant's business however irresponsible this makes me Wink .
Boodle your tales of spotting when you wouldn't normally is what made me question why is would have happened so soon after ov, I stalked looked at your chart and saw that yours had started 4dpo which could tally with mine.

What I really don't want to do is completely mess my body up so will wait until this evening and then make a decision whether to take the tablet and assume day 2. Thank you wise berries, hadn't even thought of that Blush .

Pixie001 · 09/08/2013 11:52

I'm still clinging to the loose ends of this helicopter rope albeit wih raging pre-af symptoms. I'm with you bunny on the loo/knicker watch.

Excited to hear of different-to-normal LPs/symptoms for some of you. Sounds encouraging.

Still Shock about needing to take clomid even if you already ov!! Seems crazy waste of money to me.

In good news I got promotion today to recognise extra work I've taken on...yippee!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 12:06

Pixie congrats on the promotion!
Barking I don't think your CBFM works properly when taking clomid (especially if not reset beforehand). What day did you start using OPKs?

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 12:12

gillster seems they can tell the thickness of your lining from the dildocam, and nothing was mentioned after that, so fx that was because it was at least 7/8mm (apparently the thickness required to support a foetus) and not because they're complete muppets and didn't look.... Shock
Also, however, I just learnt that clomid can make your lining too thin... Hmm puts fingers in ears and starts whistling

pixie I do O but have always had a short LP and irregular periods. Clomid was supposed to sort that out for me Angry .

The more I think about it and I really should stop as it's 4.10am and I could do with sone sleep at some point I might just leave the clomid until I get back from holiday when I can temp and monitor it properly given no one else is.

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 12:19

x post merk
Just looked back at my incomplete chart for the cycle. I did reset the cbfm but realise this may have been affected by the clomid anyway. I opk'd at least twice a day from cd11 to cd16. I didn't actually temp past cd15 (thought it was later) so definitely no O before cd16 according to temping (which has always been crystal clear for me). Usually O'd get a + opk 24 hours before O, which is why with - opks on cd16 I don't think O could have happened before cd18 at the earliest.

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 12:20

Usually I'd get....

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 13:45

Barking what about O pre when you started OPKs? Remember this cycle is not likely to be like any other cycle you've ever had

haycorn · 09/08/2013 13:48

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice Kitty, Barking, Merkin and Boodle. I think I am going to do as you suggested and leave the tablets for a month if AF does turn up when expected (early next week, fingers crossed).

Boom, I think I am supposed to take provera from CD5 to CD23, so hopefully the smaller amount that you are taking won't stop you getting updiffed. I am really loathe to go filling my body with extra hormones again when it seems like I am only just getting back to normal 12 months after coming off the pill. Having said that, I'd do anything the doctor said if it works!

Would like to be shocked at your colleague's 'odd one out' comment Boodle, but then I was told a few weeks ago, by a well-meaning if completely moronic colleague, that I will be better at my job when I have children of my own (I'm one of the many teachers on here). She managed to suggest that my current inability to have children is actually making me bad at my job (which is crap, I'm a kick-ass teacher, we just disagree on how to go about certain things) but I couldn't say a thing back to her because it was her retirement do and I didn't want to sour the occasion. So I just had to smile and nod until I could escape to the loos and sob. Why do some women think that you are somehow less of a person if you do not have children? Don't get me wrong, I desperately want to have children, but if I am lucky enough to achieve that, I will never think that that somehow makes me superior to other women without kids.

Anyway, rant over. It seems like there are lots of exciting things going on for the berries at the moment, so my fingers are crossed for all of you. Pregnancy announcements on here are the only ones that make me smile inside and out, so let's be having them ladies!

RevoltingPeasant · 09/08/2013 13:59

Okay, inspired by you lot, I have just wasted my lunch hour making a handy chart to start tracking bbt on! I am also going to emotionally blackmail seduce DH into DTD tonight and then lie around on my tummy a lot.........

Onwards and upwards!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/08/2013 14:05

RP has someone pointed you towards the free version of fertility friend?

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 16:35

merk my temping is clear and I don't think clomid messed that up. temps were consistently low all the way through to cd15 when I had to stop.

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 16:42

And anyway, if O came before cd11 (and long enough before that an early morning opk on cd11 didn't pick up the downwards surge) then it totally messed up my cycle as I took the last tablet on cd6 and it's not supposed to stimulate O before cd11. I don't think it did though. As I said, I used 3 different methods to track, I can accept the cbfm could be wrong but not my temps and opks as well. From what I have read it would be incredibly unusual for O to have shifted by 12 days.

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 16:55

Afternoon all

Been let off work early today (wheeee) so was all excited to come home and chill out in the garden...sadly Boomdogs had decided to have poorly tummies all over the living room so spent my 'relaxing afternoon' clearing up poo. Yay.

haycorn thanks for the info. I'm sure they wouldn't have prescribed me it if it would stop me getting diffed any more than my useless reproductive organs do anyway but had me worried! I think it's a good decision for you to hold off on taking yours. The fewer drugs you can pump in the better until there's really no other choice.

Bunny, Pixie, hope knicker-watch has shown no signs of AF turning up so far!

Barking I totally understand your frustration with the whole thing. Hopefully by tonight you'll know a bit more about what's going on but must be crappy feeling out of control. Hopefully this messed-up cycle is just your body getting used to the clomid.

CD24 here, firmly ensconced on the CLoL. I don't know when AF is technically due, but am intending to break out the hpt on CD30 for the purposes of Bunny's list! I did pimp with an OPK this morning just for the purposes of scientific enquiry and line was practically non-existant, so not feeling too hopeful Sad. I know a BFN will hit me really hard this cycle, I have all my hopes pinned on clomid since it's our last chance, and after this we'll only have 5 cycles left. Still chin up, it's not over yet!

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 16:56

Just checked back at my chart again - 1st day bleeding stopped was cd8. Unlikely I could O 1 or 2 days after AF surely?

I'll shut up now I promise.

^^

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/08/2013 16:56

In case anyone's interested though, my nipples are putting in an appearance again. Which may mean nothing, but is a bit weird.

barkingtreefrog · 09/08/2013 16:59

^^

I know all about laying all your hopes on clomid boom! Why is it your last chance though? Do you not qualify for IVF in your area?
