Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Ooh a symptom spotter!

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 23:04

I'm sure you're right kitty

happylass · 31/07/2013 23:39

Just getting in to bed and setting the alarm for 3am to get our flight. Was aiming to be in bed by 10 but DP didn't stroll in from work until 11 and then starts packing even though I offered to pack for him if he got his stuff out yesterday Angry
Kitty Gill Pip (and anyone else I may have missed) hope your procedures/ appointments go well. Happy shag week to everyone else! Will be checking in as and when wifi allows and am expecting to see lots of BFPs Grin

happylass · 31/07/2013 23:42

Oh and now DPs just asked if we need to DTD tonight! Errrrrr NO!!

Gillster · 01/08/2013 06:43

Enjoy your hols Happy. At least you're putting your annual leave to good use rather than sitting in a hospital with no food and drink!

Good luck Kitty with the IUI and to Lady and Pip for IVF. I hope you're taking notes because I'll be quizzing you in a few months time when I eventually get there myself.

Tallyra · 01/08/2013 08:35

Gill I've checked the paperwork and all they say about avoiding sex is 'until the bleeding has stopped and you're comfortable to do so'.

Bunnygirlie · 01/08/2013 08:43

Happy Hols happy!

Gillster · 01/08/2013 09:20

Ta for the info Tally. We may get some action in this cycle if they do the op tomorrow but I'm not hopeful and the endometrium may not be "healed" in time to even sustain an embryo. Think next cycle will be out too due to DH being away at the critical time. I've generally felt pretty positive through all of this TTC malarkey but definitely feeling a bit despondent about things at the moment. DH is eternally optimistic about these things but I don't think he appreciates the fastly decreasing timeframe to sort this out. Sad

Thundercatsarego · 01/08/2013 09:37

Hello everyone bunny didn't you say you were going to clear this up?

I have been hiding just away from mn for a while, but I'm still here and up for a handful of stale crisps if there are any left.

Happy holidays to those who are jetting off. Am Envy of all you teaching types with your school breaks.

boom I don't know if I will be of any help but am very happy to chat about boomdog 2 if you like. Have done a bit of dog training type stuff in my time x

SidneyBristow · 01/08/2013 10:27

Happy holidays Happy! Nothing like an extended trip to prime you for a successful bonk week!

Kitty, Lady & Pip I hope you can all feel the positive vibes I'm sending your way (wherever that might be!), hope it all goes smoothly and can't wait to hear about it when you're ready to share!

Tally my guess is it's still too early to symptom-spot but why should that take away the fun?? Personally I think fatigue & the oversensitivity to smells are the biggies to look out for, so in my book you are well justified to be Hmm

Thunder how's it going?

Have just got in my referral letter (requested by dr on 12/7 I believe, so pretty quickly). Haven't booked an appt yet - the clinic is at a hospital kind of far away, and I've no idea how I'll get there. Are you allowed to ask for an appt at a closer hospital? I don't want to annoy them before I've even begun but getting to this place is always going to be an issue. What's the berry verdict, call & see them anyway or wait longer for an appt at the place that's closer?

Have just looked & their assisted conception hours are less than 2hrs, 1 day a week!! Shock

SidneyBristow · 01/08/2013 10:36

Actually, scratch that. The local hospital refers their fertility patients to the one that's further away. All v confusing bc I know someone who knows someone who had IVF at the one nearer...so some treatments they must do there, but perhaps not the intake-type exams/tests etc. Confused

Tallyra · 01/08/2013 10:47

the NHS, despite being free (or maybe because of it) is so slow and confusing no matter what sort of treatment. my step dad was due to have a tooth out under general, and because he is taking wharfarin (sp?) he needs consultants and doctors and anaesthetists to talk and replace it with something else. however, the doctor called him on the Friday before the appt on Tuesday and said we'd better get you switched over'. It takes at least a week. He'd been calling the surgery every few days for weeks to get it arranged. Idiots!

Boodle9 · 01/08/2013 11:22

Hmm...ok, i know Barking is away and it was she who was most interested in my clomid cycle, but I'm going ro share anyway! So, I put this morning's temperature in and FF has given me crosshairs for CD 14 despite no ovulation cramps or a sniff of EWCM. I know the lack of EWCM is normal on clomid, but I really was expecting cramps as I get them every other month! Also, my temps, though risen, are not particularly impressive.

AAARGH! Clomid has broken my ovaries!

Boodle9 · 01/08/2013 11:25

Sid, my doctor asked me which hospital was preferable to be referred to. When my first appointment came through it was to somewhere different! I was quite annoyed but then my follow up appointment was back at the one I'd requested. Perhaps that might happen for you?

SidneyBristow · 01/08/2013 11:54

Boodle I hope that's the case. It looks like the same consultant is in charge of the gyn depts at each hospital, so maybe they divvy up patients based on what's being done, who knows. I can get myself to the one that's further away, but it would be an adventure in transport rather than a 15 min car or bus ride. Just waiting now for a callback.

SidneyBristow · 01/08/2013 12:28

Earliest available appt is 30 Jan... just for an intake appointment, not even one where they'd do anything. Sad

how does a person go about booking an HSG privately?

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:31

Sidney just google private clinics / fertility specialists near you. They will have prices on the website

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:33

There's one in Epsom that I looked at, and Wimbledon I think. Will find links for you

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:36

this one in Epsom

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:37

or this one

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:39

At the last one the price seems to be £477 (plus a consultation fee I suspect).

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 12:43

Or this one in Mitcham which offer a HyCoSy (pretty much the same thing but more extensive I understand) for £350

PuppyMummy · 01/08/2013 13:06

Hi berries. not read back so apologies for missing everything!

Thought I had better check in as been awol! currently on hols, lovely lovely sunny Crete. on all inclusive so free cocktails in abundance (if u look hard enough there ARE positives to not being pregnant!

no hope this cycle aa only dtd 3 times
just waiting for next appointment to discuss ivf plans and I can truthfully say at this moment I dont even care!!

SidneyBristow · 01/08/2013 13:32

merk thanks so much! Would I need any sort of prior approval from my GP to arrange a test with a private clinic? Or any sort of records from them? Do I even have to tell them what I'm doing?

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 13:51

Nope Sid, just ring a clinic and book. They'll want you to have a consultation and they will pro request a copy of your medical records but otherwise book away
