Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

I really shouldn't use my phone to talk on here; I'm a menace to cohesive thought!

Anyway, replace the 'fit' for a 'for' and what I was trying to say is that my temps are being ridiculous and I really have no idea if or when ovulation will or has occurred. Problem with summer hols is that I have all day to dwell on it!

Boodle9 · 31/07/2013 14:26

Aquarius, sorry, just reading back and realised that I never replied about the maca powder!

natural-fertility-info.com/maca

A load of nonsense, no doubt, but I like the nutty flavour. (Not good mixed into cold drinks though. Needs to be in hot cereal...mashed into weetabix with hot milk, for example!)

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 15:10

Ah boodle that sucks. Hope that it's the clomid messing with you and in fact you've released a couple of fat juicy eggs and are about to get diffed with twins. DTD looks to be out of the question for me today why are men so contrary? I know it sounds like I'm whining, but he promised

Anyone seen the news? Even Simon Cowell, the man least likely to ever upset me by procreating, has knocked himself up a babymomma. Who is someone else's wife. GAAAAH.

happylass · 31/07/2013 16:11

Just been for a mani-pedi and both the women working in the salon were upduffed. Cue an hour of pg talk plus the obligatory "Do you have kids?" enquiry. Humph!

Gillster · 31/07/2013 16:39

So went into hospital for 2nd attempt at polyp removal and for the second time I have been sent home. Apparently there complications with another lady in surgery meant that they ran out of time to do my procedure and another lady's as well. I understand the reasons but it's so bloody frustrating. They're hoping to fit me in on Friday but I won't know until tomorrow. Now waiting outside the maternity department for DH to pick me up. Oh the irony!

SidneyBristow · 31/07/2013 17:20

Oh Gill grrrr for you! How long did they keep you waiting for? Remind me, your TTC is on hold til the polyp is out and you're healed, right? You must be gutted, I'm so sorry they've put you off again Thanks

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 17:39

Gill that sucks. I know there's a valid reason this time but still, how frustrating for you. Really hope you get the Friday slot!

Happy sorry you got outnumbered by the bumps. Hope they at least did a good job of your extremities!

In other news, I now feel sheepish for stamping my feet. Mr Boom turned out to be persuadable (it took a lot of persuading mind) so have had my day 15 fix. What do we think, am I covered or should we keep going? Clomid was day 2-6, so according to Dr Google if it's going to work I should have ovulated by tomorrow at the latest. He's going to start getting really narky if I keep being a sex pest! (Mr Boom, not Dr Google) Grin

SidneyBristow · 31/07/2013 18:27

Boom keep going. You'll never wonder "what if..." Over too much sex, but it's hard not to wonder that over too little!!

I asked DH last night for his thoughts on DTD 2x a day, having seen a few FF charts showing success for pg in ladies around my age. He said it "sounds unsustainable" but I'm going to see if he'll be up for it after a hit on an opk. I'm running out of ideas to try on how we can do something different this cycle...haven't yet tried the mooncup-as-jizz-holder-inner, or the headstand after sex trick, but everything's under consideration!!Grin

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 19:09

oh no gill, that must really be peeing you off now. I'm so sorry Confused

boom don't give up if Mr boom is still amenable, but be aware you need to keep him happy too!!

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 19:13

could someone add me please?

tallyra, 33, TTC since 2009, all tests done now so back to boinking. AF due 10th Aug.

Bunnygirlie · 31/07/2013 19:43

happylass · 31/07/2013 19:52

Sorry about the op Gill that is soooo frustrating. Fx for you for Friday
Bunny I literally go from wide awake to comatose in 2 minutes flat. Would take an earthquake to wake me. Poor DP just went to the loo and to do his teeth and I was gone!
Sid I'm loving the sense of adventure. You go girl!
Simon Cowell Cowbell a father?!?

Bunnygirlie · 31/07/2013 19:56

tallyra - 33, TTC since 2009, all tests done now so back to boinking. AF due 10th Aug
Blindkitty - 33 ttc 25 months, af due 11th, 1st iui appointment Thursday!
Bunny - 33, this is TTC month 15, AF due 13/8, awaiting FC appt
Happylass - 35, cycle 13. AF due 21/8. Last cycle before taking a break. Slowly ploughing my way through the ridiculous list of tests needed to get to the FC.
Sidney - 38, cycle 14. AF due 23/8. Waiting on FC referral; so far tests show nothing wrong. Not quite ready to give up TTC on our own yet (but getting close)

Boom - 31, ttc 15 months, day 15 of first cycle of clomid, Mr Boom being a fatheaded oaf and refusing to boink at relevant times.
Pipbin - 38 TTC since the Royal Wedding, in the middle of first cycle of IVF.
Boodle - 30, cycle 25. 1st cycle of clomid not going well.

Add yourself on peeps, Thunder and Merk too

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 20:17

Yeah merk, thunder, you don't get out of here that easily! Are things going ok for you both?

Will see if Mr Boom fancies one last shot tomorrow and then I'll give the poor man a break. I'm trying not to feel too optimistic because if I let myself think there's hope I'll be broken by a BFN...but can't help the feeling that maybe this is my cycle. I'm going to keep tiptoeing gingerly down the yellow brick road for now..

sid sorry, totally missed your advice re: Boomdog II upthread. I've texted the rescue centre and he's sent me some info but because they're only a small set-up he can't help with training costs etc. Luckily Mr Boom has a client who's a dog psychologist, so we're going to see if he can offer her discounted sessions for a consult!

I'm going to seem a bit thick here, but can someone explain to me how using a mooncup to hold in jizz will help? Isn't it then just sitting at the bottom of a mooncup rather than just, er, falling out... Either way, how does it help get more swimmers to egg? Confused

Gillster · 31/07/2013 20:30

Tally did you just have a hysteroscopy last week or did they do a laparoscopy too? I think my procedure (when they finally do it) is a bit more involved than I first thought i.e. I'll be getting both. Did they say anything to you about recovery periods?

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 20:39

hi gill, yes it was just the hysteroscopy. I can't remember what they told me, but I can have a quick look at the paperwork next time I get up off the sofa.
I bled a little afterwards, but once it subsided we dtd a couple of days later, gently. It was a bit sore so we may have been a bit early. I don't know what the advice would be for laparoscopy as well.

BlindKitty · 31/07/2013 20:42

Thanks for all your well wishes guys, I'll keep you posted when I'm sat in the waiting room waiting forever to be called

BlindKitty · 31/07/2013 20:47

boom I reckon that's why he was there in the first place! I don't think there's anything wrong in admitting defeat! Boom dog hates him (surely the whole point of getting him was to be a buddy for him) and besides, do you really want to be cleaning up crap when you're pregnant?

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 21:03

ladies, I don't normally go in for symptom spotting, but what do you think of this? I've had very tender breasts since ov, and actually managed to dtd in green week. Today I did a felting workshop with 5 people, and I got home at 4 and pretty much fell asleep on the sofa with Tallydog. I now seem to be smelling weird - there's a strange burnt onion smell hanging around me, and nothing obvious it's coming from. I know my sense of smell is heightened in pregnancy, but I'm sure it's a bit early for that, AF isn't due for nearly 2 weeks....

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 21:21

Kitty all true! I don't think he's ever been properly housetrained. I do feel like we've bitten off a bit more than we can chew here...problem is that he's a genuinely lovely dog and he's got the best sad puppydog eyes I've ever seen, and Mr Boom is on his side! I've agreed to give it another two weeks and if no improvement he's going back. I'm so bloody soft...

Good luck for tomorrow!

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 21:24

Oooh Tally sorry, crossed posts! All sounds very promising...I can't say I've ever heard of women smelling of burnt onions in early pregnancy but I think symptoms can start as soon as pregnancy hormones are high enough which can be just a few days in. What day are you on now?

Tallyra · 31/07/2013 21:27

probably only about 3 dpo, but I haven't been tracking it. I'm on cd21. Sounds crazily early when you put it that way...

Boomgoestheweasel · 31/07/2013 21:58

A quick google tells me that some pregnancy symptoms including tiredness can be noticed within a few days of conception. So keep symptom spotting! I am a nutjob and have been noting any abdominal twinges since cd12 in case it was implantation so you're not as bad as me

Lady ooh exciting!

BlindKitty · 31/07/2013 21:59

boom guess that's a compromise. Maybe you could do a bit of pet behavioural research in the meantime to see how you can get him to stop?

tally you wouldn't have implanted yet so surely your body wouldn't know your pg yet? Having said that I've heard loads if people say they've field pg from very early on so maybe you're right?!
