Roll up, roll up for the best discussions of ewcm, opk, ic and double dying you'll ever have. Probably.

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

gil remind me again, what op you having my lovely? What's it for?

Sorry thunder I missed a few streamers Wink

Yaysid for the initial FC letter! Boo to the long wait Angry

boodle boo too to broken ovaries Sad

puppy happy holiday!

How are you merk? Things ok?

Guess who got a FC appointment letter today Grin about a 6/7 week wait so not bad!

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 19:27

I'm good thanks Bunny, had a (very) early scan tonight. Great news on your appointment!

Bunnygirlie · 01/08/2013 19:40

How early merk? All ok i hope!

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 19:43

6+1 but showing a tiny teeny bit smaller than dates, tho she assured me that's normal at this stage due to variances in implantation dates. Otherwise all seems good, we saw the heartbeat and got pics

Bunnygirlie · 01/08/2013 19:50

Wow how exciting! Keeping everything crossed for you x

BlindKitty · 01/08/2013 20:05

bunny fab news 6 week wait! Fab!

sid rubbish news re wait! I recently contacted bmi for a dildo cam and amh test. They said I just needed a referral from my gp or FCC but I didn't end up doing either

So....

Thanks for all your well wishes guys! Day went great! Nurse was lovely and didn't mind me asking and silly questions! So I should basically start tues of week after next! I have 3 cycles of iui on consecutive months. If they failed I go strait to ivf with no waiting lists! Finally feel positive for the first time in ages! Now where's that yellow brick road? Think I might have found it on the map again Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 20:36

Whoop whoop blind, amazing news!

Boomgoestheweasel · 01/08/2013 20:40

Evening all!

Kitty that's awesome news! Kittens within grasp!

Merk great to hear that babyMerk is doing well Grin

Bunny more great news! 6 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of TTC, excited?

Sid sorry you're being messed around with hospitals and just can't believe the wait. Just in case you weren't sure, HyCoSy uses a saline solution and ultrasound whereas I believe HSG uses x-ray...I had HyCoSy and it was fine, a bit uncomfortable but nothing too awful. Hope you get one booked x

Boodle am I being dumb - why are your ovaries broken if you ovulated day 14? Isn't that what's supposed to happen? Confused. Sorry things aren't going to plan though. Also wondered if you could clear something up for me since you have ov cramps, if you don't mind sharing. Since I don't ov I've never experienced them - are they similar to period pains? Because yesterday dtd was quite painful around my cervix, (sorry, feeling share-y), and today I'm definitely crampy as if AF was about to arrive (she'd better not, it's only CD16..) Could it be that I've actually ovulated?? It would be about the right time with the clomid. Kicking myself now for not using the bloody opks!

Gill did you find out if the op is going ahead? x

Tally how's the symptom spotting going?

BlindKitty · 01/08/2013 20:42

I know merk!!!! My only worry is that the doc has prescribed me 100mg clomid when I definitely over-stimulated on it before. I don't get why she's doing it again because if I over-stim again they'll cancel it that month!

Tallyra · 01/08/2013 21:01

ooh boom, that sounds hopeful, but I can't help you because I have never noticed ov.

As for the symptom spotting, I'm not really sure. I didn't get a headache today, despite doing some gardening in the sun, and by now I'd be developing a migraine. I never got a migraine during any of my pregnancies before, but I get them regularly at any other time. Also, my boobs are still a bit sore, but they also seem a bit bigger. I may well be imagining everything though.

BlindKitty · 01/08/2013 21:13

boom Smile (a lot) at kittens!!!!

tally hmm you never know, you might be...

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 21:32

Tally there is building research that suggests the body knows about a fertilised egg prior to implantation, therefore making the possibility of symptoms that early absolutely possible. FX

Gillster · 01/08/2013 21:42

Excellent news Bunny re: the letter. My op is to remove an endometrial polyp but also to investigate some fibroids. They're doing a hysteroscopy and a lap and dye. They've managed to fit me in tomorrow so have to report in at 7:15am. I was pretty calm about things but starting to get a bit nervous now.

Also got initial referral letter for FC clinic. We have to attach our photos to the initial questionnaire which is a bit bizarre.

Exciting times Merk! I bet it just feels that bit more real now.

Pipbin · 01/08/2013 21:44

How come you had such and early scan Merk?
It's madness that there is a heartbeat so early.

Blind Very exciting stuff. I have to say that since starting IVF I have felt so much less stressed than before. I think that knowing that someone else is taking control of it all helps so much.

Pipbin · 01/08/2013 21:46

Oh Gillster I had a lap and dye. Really not so bad.
I had mine on a Thursday and I was back at work on the following Monday. The oddest thing about it was that it made my shoulder blades hurt. Something to do with the gas the pump into you so I understand.

BlindKitty · 01/08/2013 22:14

pip tell me about it! As much as I've winged over the last few months about the fc I think I've got a pretty good deal with what I've been offered tbh

CatsCantFlyFast · 01/08/2013 22:22

Early scan was by choice, I wanted some reassurance before jetting off to Thailand.
The shoulder pain thing is to do with nerves, its a known symptom of an eptopic pregnancy for the same reason. Bodies are weird!

Boodle9 · 01/08/2013 22:37

Boom, normally I get very strong ovulation cramps and I (used to at least) get very obvious, immediate temperature rise. I also usually manage to get a positive OPK.

Despite clomid, I've had no cramps, no positive OPK, and my temperature rise is pretty crappy! (only 36.42 this morning and thats 3DPO). This is basically worse than before clomid, hence my despair at clomid doing bad things to my ovaries. Still, off for progesterone test on CD21 so guess that will confirm one way or the other.

As for what my ovulation pain feels like, for me it's always noticeably on one side or the other, and it's definitely around the ovaries rather than the cervix. Sorry, doubt that helps you! It's nothing like period pain for me, but that's because my period pain is monstrously evil and makes me vomit! It's quite possible that your AF-type pains were ovulation though. Maybe other Berries could share ovulation-cramp experiences for you to compare?

Gillster · 01/08/2013 23:05

My ovulation pains tend to be slightly sharper than AF cramps and are more localised, generally on one side or the other.

Bunnygirlie · 01/08/2013 23:09

Ooh kitty fab news for you too!!!

gil hope all goes well tomorrow! Photos for the FC is weird, maybe they don't let ugly people breed lol

Hope everyone else is ok!

Boodle9 · 01/08/2013 23:53

I reckon the photo thing is so that if a couple separate, you have to start the whole process from scratch again.

Thundercatsarego · 02/08/2013 07:21

Morning all

Hooray for appointment letter bunny, not tooooooo far away either so that's good.

Hooray too kitty for a lovely appointment and now being on fast track to success. Exciting times ahead. Does iui have good success rates?

tally the symptoms sound promising- presumably you know your body pretty well by now (I say this because I really don't despite obsessing for over a year now) - what's your inkling?

gill thinking of you in there right now! Hope it all goes well.

boodle might the clomid not throw out things like temp as well as ewcm?

merk hooray for good strong heartbeats!

Boomgoestheweasel · 02/08/2013 07:46

Just popping in to say good luck Gill! Hope all goes well x

Hmm, going on what you guys have said I'm no longer convinced that yesterdays cramps were ovulation. Probably trapped wind Grin. Not going to let that knock me off the yellow brick road just yet though!

Right, off to work to prod some bumps x

Tallyra · 02/08/2013 07:56

morning!
that makes sense about the photos - break up with dp and you might want to sneak new partner in on the process if you are that quick getting a new one (and not devastated to bits like I would be).
thunder I've never been good at spotting it before, and only knew after testing at 2-3 weeks, so although I'd like to think I am, I don't really want to tempt fate. Also, we only managed to DTD at the right time once because it was sore after the hysteroscopy. But then I am a bit of an instadiffer, it always happened quickly before, just never stuck around...

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/08/2013 08:00

Good luck Gill
