6 days past 5 day transfer

I just emailed the clinic. Now I feel like I'm tempting fate

I'll have a read of the article, I think staying in a portakabin would have driven me nuts to be honest, it must have been like eating, sleeping and breathing IVF especially if people recieved bad news in contrast to others.

BUT, on the other hand the support must have been amazing. I wonder what those early cycles were like.

Yep I made it very clear I wasn't happy, the nurse seemed a bit annoyed at me tbh and made a sarky comment about how she can't predict when people's periods are going to arrive etc. I said I understand that but would appreciate if I was given correct information so I could manage my own expectations. I felt bad for being difficult as I'm a nurse too. DH doesn't even understand why I was mad as its only another week to wait. Honestly I can't wait, I feel like I've waited long enough. I can't be patient anymore.

Whoopee - yay for fish!!!!

Grumpy, hormonal, hot and sweaty - not a great day to be indoors in my house that I rent out doing it up. the scummers who were renting it have now left but they trashed it so have spent the last few weeks turning it back into a decent home again and today was cleaning and polishing all the unpainted wooden parts (all skirting, door frames, doors, window sills etc whilst DH did the curtain poles, blinds etc that FiL swore he would do all last week but hasn't managed too. Hormones took over and I had a massive strop on including eye rolls at DH who then told me off! How very dare he!!!

Grumpity grump and harrumph for good measure.

Still feeling a bit miserable despite being at SiLs from 5.30-7.30 for the tail end of a BBQ so have gone to bed with a book. Even having Eton Mess didn't improve the mood - all I wanted was a pint of spiced rum and coke! Hoping I will feel better in the morning.

Ladies who have done this before. I have started injections on Thursday and have my 'baseline' appointment next Thursday. The suggestion is that EC will be on the 12th. Is that date likely to change?

cupcakes not surprised that you're pissed off but before you know it you'll be stressing about EC/ET/2WW! Try to be more patient hun-the stress is not good for you (this is also advice to myself-please feel free to remind me of this when if I act like an irrational lunatic during the next few weeks)
fab grumpster must confess that I need DH to give me a ticking off sometimes. He can take alot so I know that by the time he's 'having a word' I need to calm down. Chin up love.
Hi pipbin. (In my experience) it depends on how you respond to the stimming- i.e. when the eggs are mature enough for collection. I would be surprised if they can predict so accurately - but it would probably be within a day or two either side. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the congrats all. I'm in a state of disbelief this evening, so its weird to be congratulated! - its yet another emotional rollercoaster!

pip I would be surprised if that date stayed the same to be honest. My EC was a full 8 days later than it should have been as I over stimulated and it wasn't safe to trigger. Which was an unusual situation, but still Ido not see how a certain date an be given before the stimms have started.

We never had an indication date of EC but maybe some others did? My clinic certainly did EC on various days but it is all reliant on the scan and blood results and howyour body responds to the treatment.

Got the call from the hospital. They're taking 9 to day 5 and monitoring the other 9 to take them to freezing stage as they're still good quality.

twinks it's not the number of embryos per se more the fact that they are all good quality. You have every reason to feel optimistic What I wouldn't give for 18 good quality embies . Very hopeful for you. x
