Maybe vomit free since 2003! Anyone watch how I met your mother?

chocolocodowninacapulco · 13/07/2013 10:14

As the others say maybe , they could be good signs!

Well done twinks , great numbers

DH is off doing a long walk today and I thought I'd better give it a miss bow to the pressure and guilt trip from the acupuncturist and stay at home. Think I am just going to chill and maybe do school reports if I can be arsed Grin

Still on cloud 9 juicy? Grin nice pics btw

chocolocodowninacapulco · 13/07/2013 10:15

I've only seen bits of it Cups, why?! I don't do vomit. 9pm? Rubbish Sad

twinklestar2 · 13/07/2013 10:27

Me and OH are feeling positive, just hope and pray things stay good.

Question: has IVF got a better chance of working if you've fallen pregnant naturally before? Read this on another thread, I didn't know this.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 10:34

Yes, they say it does Twinks. Sorry for asking, you've probably said before, but what led ou to IVF in the first place?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/07/2013 10:35

The vomit free quote is from that show Maybe

Twinks I have read that they give you a higher chance of IVF working if you have got pregnant naturally in the past. I try not to think about that as I've never had a BFP before. It stresses me out a bit as they can't find anything wrong with me, I'm fairly young and my DHs motility has been between 4% - 8% so even though its not great you would think something would have happened naturally in the 3 and a half years we have been ttc. It makes me think there is something else going on like immune issues or implantation issues.

Thanks for all the sympathy, it makes me feel a bit better about being trapped indoors in a sweaty uniform Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 10:37

Try not to stress about that Cups. There are so many reasons things might not have happened naturally. But this will work, I just know it x

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/07/2013 10:42

I know I've got to try not to think about it all as its not going to change anything.

I downloaded the zita west IVF relaxation cd last night. Anyone else used it? Its probably a load of rubbish but I'm going to try to do it everyday. Over the next few weeks I'm working at the weekends and have got my days off in the week. No one else is off so I've got no one to do anything with. I'm scared ill spend the whole time googling IVF so I thought I could try these if I've got nothing to do.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 13/07/2013 10:45

I have that CD cups it's very relaxing as I , without fail, fall asleep to it every time I listen!

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 10:46

Twinks, I'm sorry you've come across that information. Push it to the back of your mind, this is your best chance ever and that is something to be really excited about.

MaybeSheSwallowed, what happened in 2003 to make you pukerello?

I'm watching horror movies all day with the nieces with the curtains shut so I can't see the blazing sun.

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 10:50

Cups, I'm sorry you are suffering the equivalent of eatingold people's toe-jam by working in a sweaty uniform today. Men's motility is massively important in this game, if you ask me. The good news is that is easily rectified with IVF. You're in with a fantastic chance! Smile

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 10:50

*eating old

twinklestar2 · 13/07/2013 11:14

Nomaybe - we have male factor. OHs results have been called borderline. Feel very :( for him. Last night he was saying he felt like he was da,aged goods :(.

twinklestar2 · 13/07/2013 11:15

Damaged

twinklestar2 · 13/07/2013 11:16

Nocupcakes - you're situ sounds the same as mine. Like juicy said, IVF helps out male factor issues a lot so it's good(?) that's there's not factors on both sides. Keep your chin up girl.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/07/2013 11:25

Twinks my DH is the same, I feel terrible for him. I don't blame him at all but I know he feels responsible. I'm really careful what I say to him as I don't want to put anymore pressure on him. I'm going sound really cheesey here so I apologise in advance. I desperately want a baby but I want and need my DH more.

I know IVF has really good chance of working if its only male factor so your right we have got to keep positive. This is going to work!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 11:31

We are in the same boat too. DH is a cystic fibrosis carrier so had to have SSR. He constantly blames himself. Though he is rather chuffed now we know his sperm is more than capable of fertilising my eggs Smile

MotorcycleMama · 13/07/2013 11:46

Hi to fish - all okay?

BrookerC · 13/07/2013 12:13

Hi gorgeous girls! Quick update as rushing out (will catch up on the personals laters). Got another scan Monday with EC expected Weds!! Eek < I am rather excited >. Lovely growth on most follies ( 10-11 around 15mm, 2 larger at 17-20). Have a super day all & looking forward to hearing everyone's updates. xxx

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 12:25

Brilliant news, Brooker, well done you! Grin

MotorcycleMama · 13/07/2013 12:39

Great news brooker!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/07/2013 12:39

Amazing news Brooker! The end is in sight Grin

nobeer · 13/07/2013 13:25

Nice one Brooker! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

resipsa · 13/07/2013 14:02

Winkle 18 embryos? Fabulous! It is going like a dream for you. Roll on Wednesday!

I think that the % chance of a clinical pregnancy with IVF is higher if you've been P before but that is simply because the statisticians can rule out some potential issues which they would have to factor in if the woman has not been P before. It doesn't affect your chance IYSWIM.

Also, I'd say your DH is the opposite of damaged goods. The ICSI fertilisation rate is usually 60-70% and yours is 75%!
