...then come and get your flipping baby here. We are a group of utterly priceless loons who are deadly serious about buying our babies at the highest price (or free if you're a lucky NHS bastard). There are no failures here

Tame I don't think the protocol makes a difference to egg quality, just how easy it is for the clinic to control timings and hormone levels.

After my experience, I took the view that I was not prepared to feel like that again just so the clinic staff didn't have to work on the weekends.

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 11:59

Twins? I can't think of anything more glorious Smile

A question that follows on from that..

Does anyone know what tests (if any) can be done to look at whether the problem with ivf failure is eggs or womb? I'm asking because I am (pessimistic) thinking about next steps if this ivf fails. DH and I are both up for donor eggs but I don't want to waste the money if its my womb thats the problem. Any thoughts lovely ladies?

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 12:05

NookNook, an ultrasound is surely the only way of knowing the health of the womb? Have you ever had a lap & dye or owt? How old are you?

Is that the same as hysteroscopy? I'm 34. I did have a natural pregnancy at 20 (which was terminated) but nothing since.

eurozammo · 27/06/2013 12:30

You could have a hysteroscopy or immune testing.

nobeer · 27/06/2013 12:56

nook a hysteroscopy is when they have a look in your uterus with a camera. you need to be under ga.

twinklestar2 · 27/06/2013 13:06

Grin @ juicy

Aunt Flo is here. Injections start Saturday. Could be pregnant this time next month! Holding on tightly to that thought.

The other night OH put 'Here Comes The Sun' on by Rhe Beatles. I bawled my eyes out. I so hope it's true.

twinklestar2 · 27/06/2013 13:07

*The Beatles, obvs

tametortie · 27/06/2013 13:11

What really concerns me is a change in protocol making the eggs worse? I think I've realised I can't make them better Sad

nook my clinic does 3d scans of the uterus- have you looked at that? X

Lifeasafish · 27/06/2013 13:15

Back home, i laid 14 which I'm pleased with.

More later.

Karbea · 27/06/2013 13:27

Tame the protocol won't make them worse, what makes you think that?

I did the lp last time and sp this time, admittedly my eggs were worse, but I'm over a year older!

tametortie · 27/06/2013 13:28

Yay!! Well done fish xxx

tametortie · 27/06/2013 13:29

Just the change in protocol, worried I will curse myself for changing.

Just fear I suppose.

Karbea · 27/06/2013 13:37

Tame won't your clinic advise on which P is best? They are the experts :)

tametortie · 27/06/2013 13:42

yes, they will. I've got my knickers in a twist thinking about it and its probably not even an option!!

Probably best I let them decide Wink

NookNook · 27/06/2013 14:05

Nicely done Fish!

Tame I agree with the others. Nowt much you can do for egg quality either way - unless you're about to develop a crack habit or work in a nuclear reactor (I assume these two examples would affect egg quality but I can't back that up)

Your clinic should advise about protocol.

I did have the hysteroscopy which showed all is fine in there. 3D scan is an idea...

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 27/06/2013 14:06

Yay! Go fish! Nice Smile

Karbea · 27/06/2013 14:06

Stop it!

When are you thinking of starting again? I hope you are planning on taking a little bit of time out?

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 14:36

Aw, fishforyourkeys, what a lay! Well done, old girl!

NookNook, I'm sorry to be tedious but please remind me of your full ttc history/tests/spunk/IVF rounds.

Thinking of you, Karbea - stay cool x

Tortie, trust your fertility clinic: they've got soft toilet roll.

I need to get on a bus and go and do summat important but I'm hopelessly green around the gills -proper Envy

nook I had a saline-infused sonogram (SIS) which looked at the womb lining. It seems that there are a number of scans which can give good detail as to the womb health. A uterine scratch has also been shown to improve implantation rates. My clinic does them in the same appointment.
twinkle yay! You can get going now.
life that is a pretty good harvest. Will they call you later to discuss how many they can use? Must be a big relief after all that waiting.
karbea I'll have everything crossed for your testing tomorrow. Are you still feeling it will be negative, or have things shifted a bit?

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 15:16

Twinkle! Hurrah!! X

OP posts:
eurozammo · 27/06/2013 15:32

Nice laying fish. How are you feeling?

twink welcome to cycling!

joos I reckon it's twins.... Wink

Karbea · 27/06/2013 15:56

Motor still sure it's negative, tmr will be a poas so might not be 100% but I think it might help me really confirm/get my head round it.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/06/2013 16:22

Nice one Fish! Hope you're feeling ok.

Great news Twinks!
