...then come and get your flipping baby here. We are a group of utterly priceless loons who are deadly serious about buying our babies at the highest price (or free if you're a lucky NHS bastard). There are no failures here

Good embies motor. And menkulling now can come with a sneaky tipple, menkulling after ET is likely Ttotal, so make the most of the two days!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 27/06/2013 09:23

Yay motor good strong embies. I didn't find the 3-2 anxiety too bad, it's now that I'm starting to go crazy!

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 27/06/2013 09:24

3-2? I don't even know what that means. I meant day 3 - day 5 x

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 09:32

Motor, I knew it! Excellent news Thanks Yes, the clinic demands you have a blood test and mine is on Monday. I'm dying to ring Helena to tell her the good news but she made it clear they're not interested in urine results. They want you to have another blood test 48 hrs after the first and then an early scan but, you know, I don't know how to go about arranging that; will I have to go private for all these things?

MotorcycleMama · 27/06/2013 09:33

I bet your menkulling is of a higher order than mine wish. When is OTD and are you planning to test before then?

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 09:36

I found days 4 & 5 of embryo monitoring a far more worrying time than anything post-ET.

MotorcycleMama · 27/06/2013 09:37

I reckon that your GP will do a blood test juicy though I don't think they'll request early scans routinely. You should make an appt with them and ask. If not, you should probably get in touch with your nearest fertility clinic and I'm sure they will do it all (for a fee, of course).

MotorcycleMama · 27/06/2013 09:38

Yes, I'm terrified that they are just going to wither away!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/06/2013 09:56

Motor this is amazing news!! You must be over the moon. I think this is near cloud 9.

Juicy what a pain. Do you have a scan centre near you?

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 09:57

Do you know what? There are some beautiful people in the world. I just rang the secretary of the consultant who oversaw my lap & dye and who let me cry on him several times. She is a lovely lady who took a real interest in my DE IVF and bent over backwards to help us with free SA's etc before we flew. I just told her my news and she shrieked with glee and is arranging for me to go for my blood tests to their fertility clinic plus a six-week scan - all for free. What a gorgeous lady. She's almost as excited as me! Smile

Result juicy! When's your appt?

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 27/06/2013 10:04

Nice one juicy, that's so nice of her

motor my OTD is Friday 5th but I'm sure I will test before. I couldn't wait that long! I'm obsessive Grin

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 10:07

She's speaking to the consultant today. Because I've had two hatching blasts transferred they need to know as quickly as possible (via a scan) if I need to be sent to their specialist twin clinic Hmm Grin

On the subject of exercise, I have stopped running (not because of the running per se, but because I have a tendancy to overheat really easily when I run even 5k) but have kept up the gym (where I use the cardio machines and weights). I last went 2 days before EC, last Friday. I might go back tomorrow. My clinic recommends walking for keeping the blood flowing. I walk as part of my commute for 15-25 mins each way anyway (depending on which train I take) so I have that covered. I can't quite remember but i think I stopped exercising during my miserable downregging experience, as I was so down and tired. If you're stimming, I think it's right to listen to your body and only do as much as feel comfortable, as you are already asking a lot of it.

fish good luck for today! See you on the other side of EC.

motor it's great news that they want to go to day 5.

tame I'm similar to drizz. It's only when my hormones are messed with that I struggle. When I'm not on hormonal drugs, I'm fine.

joos what a lovely woman.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/06/2013 10:29

Juicy that's amazing. There need to be more people in the world like that.

How are you feeling Euro? I think that is sound advice. I always get very hot very quickly. Then get very cold again as soon as I stop.

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 10:59

She is indeed a cracker, is Alison. She just called to say my consultant was 'chuffed to buggery' that my treatment worked and agreed I should come to his EPU for blood tests on Monday and Wednesday where they will book me in for my six week scan! I'm so happy and grateful.

Waiting eagerly for news from mejust hope its just her internet is down or something and she is ok xxx

NookNook · 27/06/2013 11:07

Wow wow wow Juicy. Amazing news. What a great day this is turning out to be.

Good memory Motor! Yes scan tomorrow. I'm getting a little nervous now.

NookNook · 27/06/2013 11:08

I'm missing Mejust. I really hope she's okay.

tametortie · 27/06/2013 11:08

karbea hope you are ok too- know its getting close to test day. Are you holding out? X

tametortie · 27/06/2013 11:12

Here's a question- what is better for egg quality- short or long protocol? Or does it make no difference? I've only ever been on long so its not something I've thought about but all this talk about DR and depression has got me thinking- should I push for SP next time to avoid DR??

Any opinions greatly received Smile

JuicySausage · 27/06/2013 11:17

My consultant once told me there is nothing in the world that can improve the quality of your eggs, and I believe him because he kept his nostrils trimmed.

twinklestar2 · 27/06/2013 11:25

Fab news juicy. How would you feel if it was twins?

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 27/06/2013 11:27

Sorry tame I can't help you as it's my first cycle. Didnt want you to think I was ignoring your question

Karbea · 27/06/2013 11:40

Tame test date is Saturday, I think I might test tmr.

You can't change egg quality, but you can change the environment they are growing in.

SP is for older people or those who do not respond well. Clinics prefer the LP as they have more control, whereas they have. To be more reactive with the SP as its making more use of the womans hormones.
