Zammo, I am afraid I'm doubting my line in terms of the fact I had the Pregnyl seven days ago. My rational brain tells me the barely-there line from Friday was obviously that injection on its way out so it could hardly be darker today, four days later. But..you know how paranoid we all are...

mejust the nurses warned me that after egg collection the follicles fill with fluid which means that it gets more painful afterwards. This was another 'you'll be in even more pain soon ' statement well done on the embryo's you've done so. So well.

motor tame thanks for the advice re talking to doctors etc. We have always seen a senior nurse and today we both grilled them. I was in danger of having the lot cancelled as my bloods were 24k yesterday...

I got a call at 5pm (as I was calling the clinic), they dropped to 8500 odd! So my trigger is at 9.15 and collection on thursday. We are so chuffed, mrfish was really bad with worry/disappointment I was distracted but will explain this soon.

My FsH has fallen off a cliff to 1.2 so i've had 37.5 gonal this evening and I guess I'll only produce a few eggs and quality shall be negligible. But IOTO and this has been a good trial if nothing else. My next cycle will obviously be totally different as My body is just... Different. i'm aiming for a write- up in the lancet

You never know what's round the corner with this crazy IVF, do you? Yesterday we were preparing for you having to freeze your embryos and tonight you're triggering! I love the unpredictability and weirdness of all this science but I would not have liked to have suffered like you have. Brave, cool lady x

The convo this morning - we (nurse and us) were discussing abandoning without collecting at all

It was an option at their meeting. Basically they gave themselves a deadline of tomorrow's bloods to get me sorted or they were scrapping it as my body has been so unpredictable and unstable it just ins't safe.

I'm still not out of the woods as there is no prediction or guesstimate of what I might do. But this hurdle has been passed.

Nurse said My fertility does not match my age whatsoever, and it s a shame my tubes were blocked as I would have got preggo easily if it wasn't for that. Seems I must have been born with blocked tubes as I've always been good with contraception, but mrfish and I were using condoms for about 3 years.

And we all know how strict people are with condom use...

Trigger time

Then telly. I've spent the whole day with a distressed friend as her mum had her double mastectomy operation today. She called completely hysterical 20 mins after I left DH after my appointment.

We had a lovely day, i only left her at 6.30 to cross London to come home, as her mum had finally returned to the ward.

Some things have to be put into perspective.

Absolutely, fish, poor woman. There's a lot of heartache out there in the world but all we seem to know is our own special brand of infertility pain. Lovely that your friend has you to lean on x

Juicy, I haven't suffered as much as some of you had. It has been very, very hard BUT... I appear to have a huge number of follicles, I have more cycles, I have options.

Many of you here have had greater trials, fewer options and more heartbreak. And its why I am so, so fucking happy for you and mrjuicy.

Shit - I've got misty eyed. That trigger stuff works quickly doesn't it!

Off to watch the telly. i haven't seen the screen for 2 days.

twink for my NHS round they gave me all the drugs before the cycle. Current clinic only ever gives me the drugs I need to get to the next visit.

fish, the medical mystery. :) How awful for your friend. For me, only the grief of bereavement and the pain of infertility top watching a relative deal with cancer in my shit list.

I've skimmed through the past couple of pages so sorry if I have missed owt.

I've been sat on the loo for most of the evening I kid you not. Bleeding was fine all day and thought 'woo hoo!!its stopping!' then it came back with a vengeance. Its better now though- hope thats the worst of it over Really glad it waited till I got home from work.

Gluten free went REAAALLY well today. Until I ate some galaxy chocolate and checked the wrapper after! euro I have been repeating a mantra about stabalisers to myself!! this is HARD.

Brown rice and quorn chilli for lunch and a satsuma.

Thai green curry with prawns and brown rice.
