Thanks again all. I do have a digital test in the house, but it's not got a timescale indicator on it. I've debated peeing on it, but a big part of me is scared of it saying "not pregnant".

Personally I would not use the stick, franks. It might not tell you very much, and tomorrow at the scan it should become clear, and HWNN will be there too. At nearly 7 weeks there should be a heartbeat. Fwiw my tests didn't go negative until a while after I passed the sac, probably at least partly because I started off with high hcg numbers.

I'm currently feeling rather sick. We have our pre-treatment consultation this afternoon and I'm so fucking wobbly already. Why do they make you wait all day?! It doesn't help that I know I'll get dildocammed (and quite likely practice ET too), so am all self conscious about being clean and tidy in the foof region - and the weather and hot flushes are leaving me hideously sweaty and revolting. And the whole headfuck of "yes, you ARE barren" is making me wobbly too. HOTB is coming home for lunch and then we'll go...

Big handhold to draf for this afternoon. It is horrible. The waiting, the suspense, being fiddled with. Did I ever admit on here that I am rather bushy down there? I always thing those who pick fertility as their speciality really cannot complain about anything!

My foof is really disgusting, brown gunk mixed with progesterone pressaries... I just went to bulk-buy panty-liners, and the reality of having done/being in the process of IVF hit me really hard. And that was after uberfertile sister gave me trouble because I did meet her for lunch yesterday she called when I was in recovery and I didn't answer, but admitted to being in town lateron. It is really odd, somehow I though IVF was something other people did, not us.

I'll go and have a legs in the air laugh, bugs. Been reading on and off to feel like I have things going right in my life like a lovely other half, who is properly supportive.

Hold out a sneaky bonus hand to frank. Less than 24 hours to wait. You can do it!

I met my sister today, who complained I hadn't answered my phone or met her yesterday. When she rang yesterday I was in recovery. Does that make more sense?

She knows we're having fertility treatment but no details. I could not cope with her expectation and hope. She got really excited by my pregnancy, which was lovely, but despite the mc still believes it will happen for us more fervently than either SB or I can manage. So SB told her the stats after 3 yrs of IF and now she is keeping out of it a bit more, thankfully... She did talk about her kids the whole time though. And although I love them to bits it was a bit much.

I know I am being a bit unreasonable wanting people to adjust without telling them the details, but really it is hard enough without their emotional involvement. If things work, sister will be the first to know, as she was last time.

I'm v keen on a Tour de France fred next, but plumbers have been so lucky it would be a shame to change it!

Appointment was okay, rasp. Dildocam looks normal, HOTB's latest spaff is normal. All consent forms were okay, and we will have an official stabbing timetable by next Friday. I will do downregging for a week or so (stabbing, not sniffing), and have been shown how to do that. Lovely Nurse Kate will try to get dates such that we can start ASAP and therefore hopefully go away over August bank holiday for friends' DS's christening, but no guarantees. If she can organise that, we could well start stabbing in 2-3 weeks.

Tour De BESH! We should definitely do it. Especially with this lovely weather :) thank god it's Friday. I'm off to a burlesque recital tonight! Hoping to pick up some tips on nipple tassel twirling, despite all recent practice I'm not sure my twizzling is as smooth as it could be!
