Welcome to the BESH plumbing thread, where we have blocked pipes, dirty u-bends and leaks aplenty.

Newbies are welcome to seek out the BESHtionnaire submit highly inflated quotes for consideration. Instadiffers will be massively overcharged and sent packing.

Hmmm, this job is gonna cost a bit Wink

TWinklyLittleStar · 16/07/2013 14:50

CaptainMoll · 16/07/2013 14:50

Good luck Rasperina!

RaspberrySnowCone · 16/07/2013 15:38

Thanks girls. They are running late :( suspense!

Bearfacedchic · 16/07/2013 17:08

Good luck Rasp. Hope the drive wasn't too bad.

Have not read the Fred with said woman, but sounds awful. Might go and have a squizz . . .

TWinklyLittleStar · 16/07/2013 17:08

Any news rasp? I know clinics can't help running over but it doesn't bloody help when you're shitting it already.

Bearfacedchic · 16/07/2013 17:32

WTAF? Just read a few pages of 'Legs in the air' Brain out the window thread. I suspect she may be a troll though.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 16/07/2013 17:46

Did anyone else read the "My SIL is jealous of my pregnancy" fred in AIBU before it got pulled? I've never been so Shock in all my life.

The OP is pregnant with her 2nd child and admitted she told her SIL to "get on with it" and have kids of her own so her offspring could have cousins to play with. She then found out SIL had fertility issues so "apologised". She then had the nerve to go on and say she was upset because her SIL and BIL never wanted to discuss her pregnancy it ask how she was feeling and had told her DH to tell his brother to apologise for upsetting her! Cherry on the cake was that she was furious that BIL & SIL has booked a holiday 3 days before her due date as they needed them to look after her PFB while she gave birth.

Thankfully 99% of people told her she was BVVVU but she still came back adamant that she was so hurt and whine whine whine.

Some people!

I'm back. Not sure how I feel, I burst into tears when the Dr talked through the drugs/procedure. Basically they are recommending ICSI because MATV only has 1% normal forms and they only like to do IVF with 2% or more. That was a surprise given that the other tests he had have been fine. I'm also high risk for OHSS, something to do with my poly cystic looking ovary.

I'm not sure I'm cut out for this.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 16/07/2013 19:49

Oh Rasp I did the same thing when we went for our OI talk with the nurses. I think it's a shock reaction, none of us are ever prepared for the reality of medical intervention.

That's exactly it, it's just hit home that I really am barren and this really is happening. If we have to pay privately for a fresh cycle it'll be £5k, £1600 a go if we get frosties that we can transfer. Safe to say this might be the only time we do it, frozen cycle maybe but we cannot afford £5k on something that might not work. I just want to runaway and pretend its all not happening really.

SinkyMalinks · 16/07/2013 20:06

Oh rasp. You are me (or I am you...). PCOS, high amh and not overweight, therefore high risk OHSS. A surprise low normal morphology for ghj pushed us to icsi as well. All his sa had been totally fine before.

I was/am totally knocked for six after my appointment. Hence the radio silence.

What have you had so far? Ghj is away for 6 weeks over the summer, long time in the planning, so I postponed treatment in may to the autumn.

We're going for some IUI with this unit before the icsi. (Nhs, so unlimited IUI). The consultant worded it as I won't have a great chance of success, but it give as chance for us to work out the optimal doses to get a good number of eggs without over stimulation. I only get one nhs ivf cycle, so these are "trial runs"

I was astounded how upset I was though. I'm fucked, but so's ghj. And not only ivf, but icsi.

Have a gentle crayfish shoulder rub.

frank I saw that thread!

This was my face --->. Shock

The act she came back, after EVERYONE told her she was totally unreasonable, argued a bit more then pissed off.

For the record, that is smug diffedness.

RaspberrySnowCone · 16/07/2013 20:26

Hey Sinky! It's surprising how much it gets to you isn't it, I was nervous but thought I'd come out all excited and having something to focus on, instead I just feel like shit.

Bugs is it really £5 for a nursery? Think mine if I ever get on will need to go to a dog kennel not a nursery! Much cheaper.

So, I'm CD24 now, usually have a 30-35 day cycle. I have to ring day 1 of next cycle, pick up drugs on day 21 and go for teaching session then stabbing starts on day 1 of cycle after that. Short protocol, jabs/stabs galore. MATV thinks we should just do it and see how we feel afterwards. Must admit I'm just worried how much of my life this has been. I'm only 30 and breeding has been my obsession for over 4 years now. Sad isn't it :(

TWinklyLittleStar · 16/07/2013 20:29

rasp I don't have any words of wisdom, just hairstroking. I'm sorry the appointment made you feel so shit, it's all so bloody unfair.

That woman on that fred was disgraceful. The deletion message said it had turned into a bunfight - it was a proper flaming but there was no fighting, everyone except the OP was in complete agreement.

I know it will be worth it long term if it works. I just wish this wasn't all happening. Sorry for woe is me tonight, today has really kicked me in the proverbial bollocks

Woe is you all you want, that's what the fred is here for. I second the hot bath idea, although I would have.suggested a glass of wine rather than a tea.

RaspberrySnowCone · 16/07/2013 21:51

I have no wine, and it's a bit hot for a bath isn't it? MATV just made me a nice protein smoothy though so that was nice :/ It was actually nice. Probably ought to just call it a day and go to bed though now.

CaptainMoll · 16/07/2013 23:49

Hair strokes and double gin for Rasps. Sorry it's shit. Sad

Oh, rasp I am sorry about the shock and misery appointment. It is not fair. And those appointments are very difficult. For what it is worth, I would find this IVF cycle a lot harder still if I was forking out money for it. It feels like such a gamble and is hard enough dealing with it all the side effects and insecurity without thinking I spent several amazing holidays on this... The gamble element makes it so much worse than paying for something that comes with guarantees and warranty.

My EC has been, it was okay, they found 15 eggs and those now need to get it on with SB's contribution. Fingers crossed...
