I've been POASing the last couple of days and been getting BFNs. No surprise really and would be simply rude to turn up to my referral appt already upduffed.

Menkul was good, wasn't it? I feel quite rough today, cos I woke up at 3am to mull it over. Luckily enough SB is being brill and he spontaneously had cleared his diary for the scan, came along and paid for expensive coffee on our way home :)

I have no idea what 20 follies at this point mean, except I found this site: www.advancedfertility.com/antralfollicles.htm and am guessing it must mean I had at least an AFC of 20, which gives me a little hope for this round. Which is really scary, as I had none until now, which was quite okay, except for the SB leaving scenario. The devil's juice still stinks, but much less without the pill in the mix!

Sorry you didn't get the FUFC-diffment this time bear. But there is plenty of time for that! I do remember how it felt though, I really, really hoped for one by referral and I still believed we'd be able to manage naturally.

Nice one, euro. The beige dress clearly works nearly as well POAFing. I think leaking through is a perfect excuse for going home early!

First fertility appointment seems a long time ago it's been bloody 2 years since then some blood tests: day 3 LH/FSH en day 21 prog, and some others I forget. Also I'd say it will be your first dildo-cam experience, looking for cysts and stuff. Mine included a smear for reasons best known to the sadistical man that did it, painfully.

Drizz- would I have dildocam on first appt or would they book it after first appt?

I am still about 85% denial, 15% fear. My fear is mainly based on the fact that all my cramping and soreness is on one side and I'm scared it's in the wrong place. I did go on a lovely horse ride through epping forest this morning.

bear I bizarrely quite enjoy a dildocamming (no, not in that way). I find it really interesting to see inside my body and comforting when things do what they should (follies growing, etc).

My first appt involved a review of my and KFZK's medical and an internal for me (my first one ever - bleugh). He then referred me for blood tests, dildocam and HSG (plus a second SA for KFZK), and reviewed all the results at our second appointment. At that appointment we were "diagnosed" as unexplained and referred for IVF at a different hospital. I felt a bit short-changed, tbh. I thought they would do more to find out what was wrong.

My first appt was pretty similar to euro's, except they didn't do any exams there and then, just referred for ultrasound and HSG. A couple of months after that we got "unexplained, get referred in eight months when you've clocked up three years of TTC". That was April ish last year, and I sobbed all over HOTB in an empty exam room before being remotely capable of walking out through the waiting room containing hundreds of differs.

Since our official three-year referral in January, things have been very gung-ho, though - it's a bit of a shock that they wanted to (and did) find out what's wrong, and crack on with IVF.

bugs did I just over react on your behalf? Is that what euro's 'erm' was about, or something else? Sorry I just feel very protective about you all.
