Come and join us elderly TTCers on the Sofa of Pity (SoP), Rug of Rage (RoR), the Pouffe of Possibility (PoP) or the Chaise Lounge of Limbo (CLoL) whilst trying to avoid the BubbleBath of Gloom(BoG)!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Hello hello!

I know. What am I like!

So boom you are on progesterone to bring on Af yeah? Is this because of long cycles? I forget!

BlindKitty · 09/07/2013 22:22

Just popping into say hi and that I hope you're all enjoying the weather Grin.

syd sorry things have been wank today. At least your gp was sympathetic though?

boom I reckon the Halifax advert woman has got a football up her shirt anyway. 'Mark' or whatever his name is is going to be bitterly disappointed when she comes clean...

Boomgoestheweasel · 09/07/2013 22:31

bunny yeah, the doc basically said there's no point hanging around waiting for natural cycles. So 5 days progesterone to boot af up the bum. I'm kind of excited because last time I got diffed was just after having implant (ie progesterone) taken out. In my totally unscientific mind, this means that along with clomid the conditions for my babymaking 'perfect storm' are in place...

kitty all that rubbing of the faux belly makes me want to BARF.

The heat has made my hands and feet swell up. Just like being diffed, only shit! Grin

Bunnygirlie · 09/07/2013 22:46

Fx for you boom

I'm around, just have nothing to say and it's been all germy in here recently.... A whole month of no dtd so no 2ww 9dw for me.

On the computer attempting to successfully back up, factory reset, update and restore my phone. It's taken a while and I've not finished step 1 yet.... Bored, tired and will give up and go to bed very soon...

My sun lounger of hope is out in the back yard Bunny, I may well sit on it when I start taking my sweeties in a week or so!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/07/2013 23:01

Sorry berries, being on a different timeline is meaning I'm here when you lot aren't and vice versa.
Yes I have double dye dipped post AF and had neg, and in other cycles have had neg in the 2ww too.
Sid, rant makes perfect sense, I had a similar one to DHs face when I was expecting O and got a negative OPK and when I came out the bathroom on a strop he asked if I had got my period. I was like FFS it would be nice if you learnt some of the biology behind this and got involved!
Anyway stuck in an airport, on my way to the west coast and my fury flight is delayed so I will now miss my connection tonight. Damnit.
Will catch up with all your news while on the plane...

Thundercatsarego · 10/07/2013 08:11

Morning all,

Feeling a lot better today, just a bit fragile now. merk you are such a high flier! Very impressed.

I just saw the Halifax ad too. Was liking it to start with, and then BASH it hits you round the face with that unnecessary smugbumpness. Phhhbbb

No other news here. 6 days til af due. Not confident enough for a SLoH so I'll stay on the PoP for now....

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/07/2013 08:29

Thunder only just catching up, sorry you were/are feeling crap. Hopefully feeling better and more positive today.
I'm now on a different timezone again (-8hours), missed a connecting flight and unexpectedly ended up in LA. have 4 hours before I have to get up for my next flight. Cystitis back because I didn't want to wake up the two people next to me on the plane so held on for 4 hours HmmConfused and all interest in dipping sticks gone as I have nothing that could even remotely be classed as a symptom. Am getting much much better at just moving on so not feeling too bad right now no doubt will hit me when AF arrives
Hope you all have good days with appointments etc (no idea what is going on and promise to catch up properly when home this weekend), and all baby and fertility adverts miraculously disappear Grin

barkingtreefrog · 10/07/2013 08:35

Just tracking back to Boom's visualising. I do have vague pictures in my head of you all, scone for example is always in a cafe with an apron on. You're all human in my thinking! I'm really interested to know what you see me as though Boom!

Bunnygirlie · 10/07/2013 08:39

Morning!

I haven't seen that ad yet, will avoid!

I'm not sure where I am at the mo, being ill shag week and getting the news about DHs swimmers makes me certain that AF will def arrive mid next week!

Aren't there a few of us all due next tues/weds/thurs?!?

Morning ladies,
merk, hope you got your flight and aren't stuck in an airport lounge somewhere!
bunny morning!
everyone else morning also!

I was hoping someone might be able to talk some sense into me please. Was talking to DP last night and mentioned that it is really, really odd that AF turned up 3 days early this month. He replied that did I think it was an early MC.
The thought had fleetingly crossed my mind, but hearing him say it out loud has really knocked me for six.
Is it likely? Or is it much more likely that AF has just decided to show up a bit early, because that is sometimes what happens?
I'm not frantically over-analysing AF to see if it is any different to usual!

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/07/2013 09:56

Morning

Merk your disastrous flights/bladder/lack of symptoms sounds like a nasty mix, you're a lot calmer than I would be in your place!

Barking actually despite the frog reference in your name you're more a husky dog in my head.. Now I want to know what I look like to you!

AF'll be due next week here bunny, although I'm on the druuuugs so no pre-AF hope/despair rollercoaster.

Knackered after 2 hour dog walk. Dogs both sparko - I win!

Thundercatsarego · 10/07/2013 10:20

Hey spare, why would early af be a miscarriage? Sorry if I'm being slow here (often happens). Usually if it was a chemical preg then af might be a little late. If it was an early miscarriage then you would have missed the af before iyswim?

merk I have no symptoms either. But then didn't have any when I got bfp last time so that doesn't mean anything. It's still early days. Hope you feel better and get the drugs you need.

boom good work with the dog wearing-out!

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/07/2013 10:37

Sorry spare crossed posts. I don't think it's any more likely to be a chem preg than a normal AF, in fact CP I think you're normally a bit later rather than earlier. However I'm not an expert on these matters, never having had an early AF in my life! Did you pimp at all before she showed up?

sparechange · 10/07/2013 10:51

boom, thunder, thanks for your quick replies.
I didn't pimp, no. Although I have this morning ordered 50 cheapie tests and OPKs Grin

I think DP was wondering if we got lucky after I OV'd, but then something went wrong with implantation and that resulted in AF turning up early?

We both only dapple in obs and gyn, so this might all be medically implausible, and sounds like we both need to start reading up on things a bit more.
I previously had a very short LP, so got used to be being a bit obsessed with analysing my flow for any sorts of clues.

Thundercatsarego · 10/07/2013 10:56

Hi spare, I've never heard of that. If something goes wrong with implantation I think your body just carries on as normal. I don't think it would kick start your period to come early. Probably just one of those annoying irregularities that are sent to try us when ttc. If you find anything out to the contrary though, do let us know!

barkingtreefrog · 10/07/2013 11:06

I also think it would be late rather than early spare, as the womb wouldn't be shedding the lining if it thought it was getting ready to snuggle an egg... That's just my simple understanding though.
What happened to lengthen your LP? Was it anything you did? My LP is usually 8 or sometimes 9 days, tried Vit B but I got one cycle of 10 days then the next 9 days so gave up as I'm on the clomid next cycle anyway.

Boom I only have vague images, but in my head (and I have absolutely no idea why) you're taller than average with long, wavy dark hair!!
I'm very happy being a dog Smile.

Ok, need to start being a little more productive with my day off. I keep making a pathetic effort to start jobs, then walking away from them....

Thundercatsarego · 10/07/2013 11:12

I reckon boom is a peanut in a mr motivator outfit...

sparechange · 10/07/2013 11:18

thunder thanks so much! That has made me feel a lot better.
It was just a passing comment from DP, so I don't think he has any basis to saying it. But it just threw me a bit.

Onwards and upwards this month then!

sparechange · 10/07/2013 11:22

barking
I'm afraid the only thing I can think that lengthened my LP was that I had a few years off TTC and back on the pill, and it seems to have taken it from 8 days to 11 or 12. I get quite noticeable mittelsmertz, so can usually tell when I'm OVing. It is always much more painful the right side than left!

I also tried Vit B and it didn't seem to have any noticeable affect, although it was a combination one with folic acid, so I carried on with it for the wider benefits

happylass · 10/07/2013 12:34

Barking I think you're confusing Boom with me! I'm 5"10 with long dark wavy hair!! Have no real vision of what anyone looks like other than Bunny. For some reason I imagine her to be quite short with short curly hair!

Thundercatsarego · 10/07/2013 12:51

Oh yeah I meant to ask merk were you still getting positive opks before you stopped poas?

barkingtreefrog · 10/07/2013 12:54

No Happy, you're about 5'6'' with shoulder length blond hair . You're right about Bunny though Grin.

Having spent most of the morning attempting to update my phone, I think it's finally working. I was trying to do it on the desktop, but after many failed attempts where it just stopped responding, I realised (ok, so google told me) that the firewall/security was blocking it, only it was DP that set up the desktop and I merely log in as 'user' so I couldn't alter any of the settings well not without using his password and as the desktop is his I daren't do anything so I started again on my laptop and downloaded the software on there instead. It's now updating (well, currently on 68% and has so far taken an hour...) but I did all the back up before wiping my phone prior to upgrading on the desktop... I'm now wondering whether I'll be able to restore all my contact details from the desktop. I should have used the Orange contacts backup but it wasn't working from my phone and I forgot to back up the back up I did last night...

Also, you'd have thought I'd have productively used all the time sat on the computer waiting for things to happen by writing some more of my essay. But I didn't. And now I want to go out and meet up with some mates but I've got to wait until I can unplug my phone!!! If only it had worked first time I tried it this morning, I'd have got loads done and be on my way out of the house by now! yeah right.

69%.....

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/07/2013 13:12

Ha barking I think thunder is closer in her description I fear! I'm actually boringly mid-range height-wise and have short hair Grin although it was long, dark and wavy on my wedding day, maybe you're channelling that!

My Microsoft Word keeps crashing every time I write a sentence of dissertation. Trying to tell me something perhaps...?

Bunnygirlie · 10/07/2013 13:19

no time to post properly as at work but, OMG I do have curly hair lol!
