Ah Foody I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, you must be absolutely devastated. Take time to look after yourself and your DP and call in here whenever you need it. Sending huge hugs x
Pip good to see you back and glad things are moving for you.

barkingtreefrog · 30/05/2013 18:34

Ditto what happy said. So sad to hear your news foody I can't imagine what you're going through but I know others on here can. Hope you're getting all the RL support you need. Use us as much as you need to for the times you're trying to hold it together in RL and need somewhere else you can collapse. Thanks

Nice to see you pip, good to hear it sounds like you're getting started.

goosey We're supposed to be holidaying in the lovely pembrokeshire, me, DP and the dog. It's one of my favourite places and I was very much looking forward to the planned bike rides and coastal walks but after the HSG nightmare I just didn't have the energy to face it so we stayed home. The rainy weather has been quite depressing on top of the school work that I haven't managed to get done despite feeling that I've done nothing else productive. What makes it worse is the fantastic weather forecast for this weekend when I'll be in getting my school work done!!!!

Regarding ttc I'm still determined that I am on the yellow brick road of positivity and still throwing back some vit b6 every day. Not dtd much as I think the weather and lack of holiday has got to DP as well, but probably not in shag week just yet anyway, so will have to switch on and make the effort starting tonight I think, given DP is in for his op this time next week and after that it's potentially no dtd for the next 6 weeks!!! Shock

Barking I love Pembrokeshire too! I live in Wales so it's easy to get to for me. Sorry you had to cancel your hols. I hope you get to go back there soon.
Feeling equally snowed under with the school work. Got 350 reports to write in the next month plus I've got an A level Spanish exam next week to revise for. Done nothing so far this week - really need to get my butt in to gear!!

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 18:45

bunny fortunately my dh hasn't had those issues for a while bet I've just jinxed it he says its like an sas mission..get in, get the job done, get out haha

teacher you may not fill then entrance criteria but you are a teacher (every woman and her dog seems to be a teacher in here although I'm not)!
Re acronyms, there are loads of lists if you google them although tbf I think we've made a few up so just ask!
Re maths etc, you're prob just best just dtd loads for now (evidence shows thats best rather than timed intercourse). Bare in mind most of us have been ttc for a while so dtd all the time just fills us with dread isn't practical anymore

Boodle9 · 30/05/2013 18:51

Hi Goosey - thanks for asking after me; not feeling cheerier yet, but I'm working on it!

Pip, good luck with all the IVF stuff once CD1 arrives. Keep us updated on it; I'd like to know what to expect as I'm pretty convinced that's where I'm heading now.

Foody, so very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. As Happy said, just call in here for whatever you need, be it sympathy or just a massive angry vent at the world.

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 18:57

foody I'm so sorry to hear your news Sad. Like a few others have said, I've no idea how you must be feeling as never been pregnant. I hope dh is looking after you xxxx

barking how come no sex for 6 weeks?

goosey yes I'm fine! Think my hormones got the better of me yesterday! Going to stop clomid next month!

Tallyra · 30/05/2013 18:58

oh food that's terrible. I feel your pain, having had that happen to me, so anything you need to talk about feel free to message me if you like. it's really hard and don't be afraid to feel sorry for yourself for a while. but not too long or it will pull you down...
sending you huge hugs xxxxxxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 19:11

Hello all. I've been away too long the thread has moved fast as I hardly recognise any names.
Foody don't think we've crossed paths but so so so sorry for your news. Look after yourself x
Hope the rest of you are plodding along ok, any new test results or progress to report?
In my world after 2 suspected CPs followed by a few months of half hearted trying (and not shagging at the right time) I am hoping to get back on the bandwagon so to speak. Starting tomorrow I am bringing the OPKs and thermometer out of retirement, O due on Tue. So I will be back to bore you all with my stories of OPKs I'm afraid

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 19:12

Pip just seen your post, your first IVF cycle?! How exciting, FX for you

happylass · 30/05/2013 19:14

Yey Professor Merkin is back Grin. Look forward to hearing about your experiments. Have you sought any medical advice about the suspected CPs?

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 19:21

merkin! how the devil are you? I thought about you the other day. My friend begged me to go to a club and made me say I was called Angela merkin (as it was a name on the guest list). Got home and dh proceeded to tell me what a merkin was!!!

Pip well jeal of your ivf! I was so pissed off yest I told dh I wanted to go private. Sick of waiting for my iui now, especially as I have no faith it will work! X

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 19:32

No, have still been dragging my feet about getting any tests as I am stupidly still hoping it will just happen having said that was at docs this week for something unrelated (a doc I haven't seen before) and she asked if I could be pg. my immediate reply was 'I wish'! She asked how long we'd been trying and was super sympathetic and urged us to book in with her to get tests. Said it was better to get started on the tests so if there was an issue it could be fixed etc. She was so lovely I nearly blubber on her. So will get booked in if not diffed this cycle (and for all of you current and former berries who have told me the exact same thing before... I know I should have done it by now!)

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 19:33

*blubbed not blubber. I certainly wouldn't want anyone blubbering on me, it sounds awful!

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 19:44

merk am I right in thinking you're a bit of a bbt boffin?

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 20:16

Kitty I was a geek boffin a couple of months back but a little rusty!
My TTC fire has just been pissed on again... Get my hopes up then just found out OH is going away on Monday. Damnit

BlindKitty · 30/05/2013 20:23

Oh ffs merkin! Is he going for work? When do you think you'll ov? Have totally ballsed up this months with going to a different time zone for 1st 2 weeks of my cycle.

Bunnygirlie · 30/05/2013 21:05

aquarius sorry to hear she got you!

barking I may perch on the edge of your BoG if you don't mind, feeling grumpy too. I don't think much DTD will happen this month, DH v stressed about work thing next week.

aquarius I had to have my 21 day test 3 times! Days 23, 20 and then19!

Oh foody I am so so sorry and sad to read your news, hugs x

merks so good to see you, don't go away again!!! AND GET BOOKED IN!!!

Bunnygirlie · 30/05/2013 21:05

Good to see you tooboodle

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 21:16

Hey bunny nice to see ya! Me and my onsie are back for good!
Just checked FF and O due Wed, but even worse than that is I think I'll maybe O late this month due to being ill. Therefore another month out :(

Pipbin · 30/05/2013 21:36

Well IVF seems really rather hopeful.
I need to have an AH (I think) level of at least 10 for it to be viable, 20 is the ideal. When I had the consultation with the nurse a while ago she asked what mine was, when I said it was 30 her response was 'Christ'! So that, coupled with my DH's SA results that had the doctor call another consultant over to see, means we are in with a good chance. We get three full cycles and then three frozen implants on the NHS, so in effect 6 goes. We have also chosen to say that any remaining can be used for research.
I could have started last week but waiting for the next cycle means it should all happen over the summer holidays and not interrupt work too much. So that means that this is my last natural cycle.

Anyway, what Elderberry news? Who is updiffed?

Bunnygirlie · 30/05/2013 21:48

Ooh pip keeping everything crossed for you!

No news, can't think of any anyway! No diffing for a while!

happylass · 30/05/2013 21:49

Aww loving the Berry reunion in here tonight!

Sounds very promising Pip. Keeping everything crossed for you!

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/05/2013 22:36

Hey up happy. pip sounds really really promising. How exciting. Assume you're on an IVF forum but keep us all posted. Now berries if we're all gradding together we need to get a move on to keep up with pip

Bunnygirlie · 30/05/2013 22:47

This is for all my fellow Berry cat owners - www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKffm2uI4dk&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Boodle9 · 30/05/2013 23:26

Bunny, that's brilliant. Poor sad cats! I like the bit about singing the song of 'my people' outside the bedroom door at 3am!
