It's time for some more grads!!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months NO instadiffers, must have a special pot)

bunny that is hysterical. I love the pooping in the bath tub litter box.

Hello all! foody was so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are being kind to yourselves and taking time.
merk great to see you again! Sorry things are messed up - go back to nice lady GP. Now.
barking I know what you mean about being grumpy. I often feel like I waste my holidays....rah!

So, at my insistence, we're due to go for an initial consultation and fertility assessment at a local fc tomorrow evening. Had blood taken yesterday and DH provided his sample. Gynae has sent them notes of results I had from them. Got an email today to say that the amh test is delayed and won't have results until next week. Should we go tomorrow anyway and see what they say? Having another fannycam for afc, DH's sa and full history. Would they be bale to tell us anything useful without amh? I've got myself all psyched up for some information and planning and would now have to put it off for two weeks as we're away next Friday. Grrrr. Not the end of the world, I know, just annoying now that we've taken the plunge and paid (not as much as for sick ferrets, bizarrely), I'd hoped we'd get some answers quickly.

Cd 58 ..... When will it end???

barkingtreefrog · 31/05/2013 00:14

Ooo, hello merkin! Missed you! My news in brief is that I had my HSG last week, tubes appeared clear but I get the full results from the consultant on 19th June. I then had a nasty reaction to the ink around 4 hours after the test and to cut a long story short was admitted to hospital and given morphine for the pain.

kitty DP goes in to be circumcised on Thursday as he was getting eczema on his foreskin and nothing else had helped. Ironically it hasn't reoccured for a few months but it's taken this long on the waiting list. I should Ov the following Saturday at the absolute earliest so I will insist he does his duty pre-op and hope his swimmers keep swimming a few days!!! The next cycle will be totally out!

charming I can't really add anything useful but just wanted to sympathise with thinking you're about to get answers then getting knocked back by more waiting Sad . I would call the fc clinic and ask them whether the appointment was still worth doing. I imagine it would, but depends whether you'd then have to pay to go back for the other results.

Oh and bunny, please take the BoG, I have had a lovely meal ar a friend's house and am feeling less grumpy Smile . I may of course barge you off it when I start running out of time to get my school work done.....

barking ah yes you did say. Poor dh! Think I crossed my legs over my imaginary penis as I read that!

Well forgot to set my alarm for the gym again this morning! I'm so bad atm, been to the gym once since my hol!

charming will they charge you if you cancel? If not, I'd cancel so you don't have to pay for both appointments

GooseyD · 31/05/2013 07:06

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage Foody - I hope your DP and friends are giving you lots of support. Big hugs and Flowers

Boodle I'm feeling for you, the blues just makes this whole thing harder.

MrsB00Mbastic · 31/05/2013 08:12

Wow berries, I leave you alone for one evening and you chatter up a storm!

Foody I'm so, so sorry to hear your news. I really do feel for you, have been there and it's rubbish. I hope you've got lots of support, I know the lovely Tally has already offered but if you ever want a chat feel free to message me Flowers x

Lovely to see our long-lost merk and pip back amongst us!

No time to catch up properly now but at all the rest of the berries!

GooseyD · 31/05/2013 08:22

I know the gym lethargy Kitty! I've just cancelled my membership as wasn't working out worth it with the number of times I dragged myself there each month - conning myself that I'm going to run in the park and swim at local pool instead Smile

Bunnygirlie · 31/05/2013 08:38

kitty I went to the gym last night for the first time in months! Really want to shift about half a stone but I am so lazy and also worried that eating low calorie diet could affect TTC! But hey who knows if I can even conceive naturally so maybe I should just starve myself for a month Wink

Have a nice day berries, I won't be on tonight as off to my friends house to see her new baby, wish me luck!!!

CharmingCats · 31/05/2013 09:56

Totally with you all on the gym avoidance and fearing a diet would affect ttc. Promised myself that id go over half term and haven't managed once. Grrr.

Fc called to say that it would be fine to go ahead and they'll call with amh results when they're in. So, should get some information this evening. Hurrah!

CharmingCats · 31/05/2013 09:57

Good luck bunny! Is this baby number 4 friend?

MrsB00Mbastic · 31/05/2013 10:25

Oh good charming keeping fingers crossed that you get some useful info!

Don't envy you bunny but hope you manage to have fun. I'm being godmother at a christening tomorrow...

Well as predicted the doctor didn't phone me yesterday. Have tried to phone the clinic this morning but nobody's answering. Also I got a letter from the hospital today which was dated 30 April and only got sent two days ago! And whoever typed it clearly just wrote exactly what the doctor had dictated because it's not in proper sentences and refers to me as 'her' all the way through ('I want to see her again in two months' etc)

Way to go! Hmm

englishteacher78 · 31/05/2013 10:26

That's some awful medical secretarying there!

MrsB00Mbastic · 31/05/2013 10:51

Oh and on the subject of gym, I have piled on 2 stone since last Aug and it needs to come off so am on a health kick! Have just started juicing again, and doing Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred (mainly because it's the only exercise DVD I've got). I don't count calories because I get too obsessed, but promising myself that the chowing down on depression cake will end here!

MrsB00Mbastic · 31/05/2013 10:53

Ha english I know! Luckily the letter didn't say anything I didn't already know, otherwise there would have been trouble!

englishteacher78 · 31/05/2013 11:28

Jillian Michaels is ace. I also have to watch obsessions with calories. But fortunately I love my gym!

SidneyBristow · 31/05/2013 11:39

foody so sorry to hear your news. I hope you & your DH are getting lots of support Thanks

pip and charming your FC developments sound really positive! looking forward to hearing about the process from you two. DH and I are talking about going for a referral after cycle 12 but at the mo it all sounds very scary to me, not sure I'm mentally prepared to take that step just yet.

Hi merk, good to see ya! Totally understand the need for a break from TTC. Did it give you an emotional boost? I only ask bc the idea of one sounds really tempting, seriously considering one (or at least going off OPKs etc for a while).

AF due here any day now, sick doggie now scheduled for surgery next week so much-anticipated short European city break has now been put off til further notice. Biscuit

Foodylicious · 31/05/2013 11:46

Thanks for your support guys, allowing myself times to wallow and times to try to get on with other things, so off to garden centre then take some crap out on the garden.
Well done on starting the shred again MrsBoom have just ordered it at ripped in 30, plan to do them both before my holiday in august. She is a bit annoying but copable with! I used myfitnesspal to watch calories, but yes you have to be careful not to go too far, I found i was getting upset with myself if I went over my limit by as little as 10 cals which is ridiculous!
Would recommend the 30 day shred to anyone

BlindKitty · 31/05/2013 12:16

Normally I'm quite gym motivated but have been useless since my hol! So hard getting back into a routine! Especially as I had a horrible dream this morning... Dreampt dh was dying and he was confused. My pregnant friend was like ''oh I've just showered him for you'!!!! Analyse that!!!

CharmingCats · 31/05/2013 12:19

just looking at the 30 day shred - reviews sound scary! i too get obsessive about calories. tried weight watchers 18 months ago and got to target (lost 10lbs), but as soon as I stopped the diet, it all came back on. I made that classic mistake of buying clothes when I was at target and now they do not fit! Rah!
I've got some ironing and cooking to do before I head out this evening. Planning to go early and have a nice decaf latte beforehand.
Have good days. Will check in later or tomorrow to let you know the damage process. Although we too are going to a christening of an instadiffer tomorrow, so may not be back til later in the day.

barkingtreefrog · 31/05/2013 15:02

Bl*dy animals!!! Dog just got a stick caught between his teeth, sideways, almost across his throat. Panicked, clawing at his mouth and wretching. I stuck my hand in but couldn't get it out. Called DP and told him to get to the park asap (only 1 minute from our house). I thought I was safe to wait for his help as I couldn't budge the stick from where it was. Stupid dog somehow manages to move it and swallow it. I'm convinced I can feel it in his throat and he's about to choke and stop breathing any moment. Cue another trip to the vets. Panic over, it's probably in his stomach now. Have to monitor him for the next 4 or 5 days to check it's not causing problems. Bl*dy dogs!!!!

I'm not trying to lose weight but I am trying to get fit - went out on the bike for a short ride this morning and the hills nearly killed me. Off out for a run now - on Week 8 run 3 of the couch to 5k - nearly there!!

charming yes this is fertile, I only need to look at my husband to get pg, baby number 4 friend! Off out in an hour, sort of dreading it but looking forward to girls night as two other close friends coming too so it hopefully won't be too intense.

barking christening yuck! I am being godmother to fertile friends number 3 at quadruple christening next month, can't say I looking forward to that!

barking hope your pooch is ok!

BlindKitty · 31/05/2013 19:01

Barking oh you have had a bad day! Silly doggy! Between your husbands penis and your dog's mouth you're really making me squeamish!

Just had a lovely alfresco dinner and wine loving the weather! Happy Friday girls xxx

IamKuma · 31/05/2013 19:40

Hello Elderberries! I hope you don't mind me jumping onto your thread; I had been participating in some other threads a few months back but only just realised the entry criteria here Wink.

Anyway I'm 38, DH 32, only on cycle 5 so not been trying for that long, relatively speaking, although we have not used contraception in a long while other than TTAvoid.... Saw GP at the beginning of the year who told me to come back in 3 months if nothing had happened, but DH not keen to get his SA done, so not sure what tests they will do for me until he does that. He is of the view that if it doesn't happen naturally he would prefer to leave things well alone Hmm.

Anyway, the purpose of my first post is to ask for advice on OV sticks; I did temping for a couple of months but got bored didn't find any conclusive patterns. I don't have problems monitoring EWCM, but, I'm not getting any results with the OV sticks even when I would expect them. Not sure if its a time of day thing as I don't usually test till after work or if they are a duff batch of sticks, although the control lines do come up....

Can any of you lovely ladies impart any wisdom on what time of day they have used them, would I be better doing them earlier in the day, say 3 hours after getting up??

Thanks!

GooseyD · 31/05/2013 20:14

Hi Kuma! My advice would be if you can afford one to get the Clearblue Fertility Monitor. That advises you to use first pee of the morning, which I find a lot easier than all this "don't drink or go to the loo for four hours" malarkey that goes with the sticks you have to use in the middle of the day. I often didn't see ovulation with the OPKs but see it regularly now with the monitor. Good luck.
