It's time for some more grads!!

The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months NO instadiffers, must have a special pot)

Hey Kitty - morning!

GooseyD · 25/05/2013 06:18

Hi Happy, missed the dizzy episode - do you know why? How was the night out and sharing room with a colleague? Was that a work arranged thing or just bunch of work friends?

sconeoclock · 25/05/2013 07:15

Morning all, slept really badly last night, very unlike me and low temp this morning which I am putting down to waking frequently since 4am. Must be because I know I have lots to do today.

One of my fb friends just put a status about elderflowers and wet sausages!!

happylass · 25/05/2013 07:16

Morning Kitty and Goosey. Good to see I'm not the only one awake at silly o'clock on a Saturday!
Night out was a works do for someone who's leaving Goosey but a bunch of us stayed in town to avoid the hassle of getting cabs home. No idea what caused the almost faint. Had only been out for about half an hour at that point so didnt really drink any more for the rest of the evening. Thanks to waking up early I managed to sneakily take my temp whilst my colleague is still asleep. Pleased to report it's still sky high. How are things with you Goosey?

happylass · 25/05/2013 07:17

Morning to you too scone

BlindKitty · 25/05/2013 07:21

Morning guys!

Happy mind had come done already and I'm not due on until next week!

scone could you possibly bake /bring me some freshly baked bread? Oh and throw in a few sausages for good measure!

sconeoclock · 25/05/2013 07:26

kitty I don't bake my own bread but have some freshly made scones in the oven and a rhubarb and raspberry sponge?!

BlindKitty · 25/05/2013 07:32

Oh what a let down Wink looks like I'll have to go and get my own. Just how bad would it be to drive in my pjs and run into the butchers????

sconeoclock · 25/05/2013 07:36

It would be fine until you asked the butcher for some bread!!

Gillster · 25/05/2013 07:37

Gosh, such a lot of activity for such early hours on a bank holiday weekend!

Glad you're on the mend Barking. Looks like we were both at opposite ends of the spectrum with the after effects of HSG.

Goosey - Things sound a bit calmer in your household Smile. This TTC malarkey does put a strain on our relationships at times.

Seems like there have been quite a few insensitive comments flying around Sad. Most people really have no idea. I almost feel like people are checking out my every move at work. I've been asked many times in the last few months when am I going to have a baby? Wish they'd keep their noses out of my personal business.

On a more positive note, I 'll be picking hubbie up from the airport in an hour after him being away for 3 weeks Grin Grin. Think I will be leaping on him fairly promptly as soon as we return home! Jet lag, schmetlag!!

I'm expecting a Smile on the OPKs so most excellent timing. I'd better just quickly tidy up the house - don't want him thinking that I'm the messy one in this relationship!

barkingtreefrog · 25/05/2013 08:49

Well I was hoping to stay asleep a little longer than that! Oh well, feeling a lot better than I was this time yesterday anyway! Still got cramps but just like dull period pain, and still tired and a bit dizzy but 36 hours without sleep plus a couple of doses of morphine will probably have something to do with that!

Goosey that's the key question, but I wasn't in a fit state to be asking anyone who saw me earlier when I was in ridiculous amounts of pain and not really able to think or talk at all. The doctor who we persuaded to discharge me was a junior doctor who didn't seem to know much about it so I felt there was no point asking her.

I admit there were moments in the last 36 hours that I strayed momentarily off my yellow brick road of positivity Shock. However, I have decided that either a) it's just like having a reaction to a face cream or something, as soon as you stop using it your skin will heal itself and get back to normal, so nothing to worry about, or b) there was clearly something wrong with the lining of my uterus and this process has burned off all the bad stuff so now it's all good (don't laugh, I'm trying to remain positive).
I don't want to think about c) my uterus is ridiculously sensitive and this could have further implications.

Could the berries please help me stay on my positivity drive for this cycle?! Please vote the option you think most likely (obviously answer a is the one you should be going for) Wink

Thanks for the lovely welcome back ladies! wtf are you all doing up so early on a bank hol (apart from scone with all the cake making) ???

barking that's just not cricket that you've had to go through all that - it's clearly a) from the sounds of it and i hope you feel much better soon.

gill the Gp and Gyn both suggested endometriosis for which there's no real cure- they can try and remove it but doesn't always work, or I can take a load of painkillers in advance of af - but not if I'm ttc Hmm

goosey yes I did have painful afs before but the d&v is new. think I just need to tell my boss I'm having some medical investigations / routine surgery and leave it at that...

bunny your colleague sounds a burger short of a happy meal IMO

Tallyra · 25/05/2013 09:35

a a a a a a barking! I choose route a. if you can go through that and still be trying to be positive, you are amazing and it should bloody well be your time!!

MrsB00Mbastic · 25/05/2013 09:45

Morning all, it's a goooorgeous day here so off to yomp with the dog in a mo to make the most of it before work at 12 (ufff)

Hi aquarius good to have you (back) with us! Sorry you're having such a nightmare of a time with AF. I wouldn't tell your boss at all, none of their beeswax why you're having to have docs appointments and they should respect that!

barking glad to hear you're on the yellow brick road to recovery. I'm in total agreement, the answer must be a)! Just a one-off reaction to something that you won't be having shoved up there again so hopefully nothing to worry about in future. Can you make a follow-up appointment at the hospital to speak to someone about it now that you're not whacked out on painkillers?

happy as if it's not bad enough going all funny in public, people HAVE to make it into a pregnancy thing Angry Hope you're feeling ok now?

bunny your colleague is totally out of line, probably didn't mean to be offensive but I'd be having a quiet word with her about engaging brain before opening mouth and inserting foot. I had my own irritating comments yesterday at the pub - met my friend and a few of her mates who I don't really know, we were talking about getting married and someone asked how long I'd been married and then said 'and no babies yet? Tick tock, tick tock!' Luckily my friend was there making finger-across-throat 'stop it' actions so they shut up quickly and looked suitably embarrassed when they realised they'd been tactless, but still. GRR.

scone any chance of a cream-tea for brekkie??

Gill must be really hard having your DH away for weeks at a time. Sure you'll have fun welcoming him home though! Wink

Blind haha I really hope you have gone to the butchers in your PJs for some bread. That'll be one confused butcher!

Thundercatsarego · 25/05/2013 10:03

Morning all!

Hey aquarius! good to see you buddy. Your absence was definitely noted when you went awol before. Sorry it's been a bit of a sh*tty time but good things are happening now with the investigations.

blind I heed your words re cold turkey. Not sure what to do now! Am going to be away during the three/four days I would normally pimp so that was another reason not to bother this month. Hmmmm may just try it this once and see. I've been doing it for 5 months and have always got the Smile within the same 2 cycle days so thought it might save me the money!

scone you're making me hungry! Rhubarb and raspberry?! YUM!

barking welcome home. What an ordeal for you but so glad it's over with now. And stay positive- the fact you had a reaction after you had dye squirted around your plumbing is pretty understandable to me. Can't see any reason this would relate to your uterus not liking a lovely egg of your own making being there. Definitely a)

Thundercatsarego · 25/05/2013 10:09

Oh yeah and bunny wtf with that colleague?!

And boom did you get that Wine?

MrsB00Mbastic · 25/05/2013 10:50

I did get the Wine, it was more like Wine Wine Wine .....

Now I have a headache, that'll teach me..I should know I can't take more than a glass! Total lightweight.

barkingtreefrog · 25/05/2013 11:13

bunny and boom tactless people are so annoying, even before ttc myself I'm sure I was aware of the unspoken code that says you do not comment on or ask about a woman's lack of babies?!

Although I've just had my own mother do the oblivious talking about other people's babies again. Her next door neighbour's daughter gave birth yesterday and so I heard all about that and how excited her neighbour was to be a grandma, and how she'd also just found out that her daughter in law was pregnant so by the end of the year she would have two grandchildren and how wonderful was that? Absolutely bloody wonderful but I just didn't want or need to hear it. Especially as I'm feeling very tired and emotional and still not 100%. So when I got off the phone the last thing I needed was DP sarcastically saying 'well I'm glad I asked you to come to the park and walk the dog with me, that was a lot of fun' as I'd just been on the phone to my mother all the way round. Conveniently forgetting that his mother called me first and I had to speak to her for 10 minutes while all the time wanting to speak to my mum as I hadn't spoken to her since going to hospital. Cue tears from me and him doing his usual 'you don't have to cry about it' and making out I'm being unreasonable. But it's not just that it's what my mother has just been saying on the phone that I'm still struggling to deal with rationally and just ARGHHHH!!! Sad

Oh, and to add to the pile of fun I'm having right now, after visiting his granny in hospital we've been invited round to his uncle's for dinner. Which will be lovely, his uncle is great, but DP's wife and pg SiL who was so rude and objectionable last time we saw them will be there, and DP is still mad about their behaviour and we weren't planning to see them at all this weekend. Fun, fun, fun....

Sorry, I'll stop the 'me, me me' posting now, but just before I do, I looked back at the booklet I was given before my HSG and it does have a sentence that says 'it is extremely rare but it is possible you may have an allergic reaction to the small amount of x-ray contrast.' Guess that was it then.

Greetings! Woke up this morn with a banging headache, only had once glass of wine so it seems a little unfair. It's probably due to DH coming in drunk at 12.15 with drunken hiccups making me angry grrrrr is it bad that I thought about smothering him with my pillow Wink

Going back to what my colleague said yesterday, I don't think she meant it in a bad way, nobody at work knows we're TTC (my one friend is on maternity leave) so it wasn't malicious. I think she just meant that if there is a baby in the office then I'm straight there to have a look or a cuddle!

goose sometimes I just want to shout - just because you are a mother doesn't mean you know it all!!!!! Or - just because I don't have children it doesn't make my point any less valid!!!!!

happy hubby humping gil

barking grrrrr to the insensitive mothers and MILs and DP too (men really don't get it at all do they) p.s. I also chose option a!

barkingtreefrog · 25/05/2013 12:20

If anyone needs a Grin watch http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=V4PijTvuNWI&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DV4PijTvuNWI this
I defy anyone not to be Smile by the end of it!

Bunnygirlie · 25/05/2013 13:23

Ah is that doing the rounds on your fb too? I watched this morning on sky as always tape the show, love it! (and still remembered every word of the rap lol)

barkingtreefrog · 25/05/2013 14:06

Did you see the earlier one with Will Smith and Gary Barlow and the audience doing the rap with Gary Barlow playing the notes on a tiny keyboard? Grin

Well berries, have had my first hangover for years today. Was out last night for end of term drinks. I never usually go or I drive so don't drink. But really wanted to let my hair down. Now feeling very sick. Still.
Was supposed to be meeting up with a girl I know from school who I got back in touch with on fb a few months ago. Plan was to take the train on Wednesday, as it's a bit of a long drive for a day trip for me. But I can't face it. She's got a 6 month old and just goes on and on about him. Last time we spoke it took her 45 mins to ask how I was. I can't cope with a monologue and a long train journey. I've decided to be honest with her, although it is the third time we've tried to arrange something, I wouldn't be fussed if I never heard from her again. I do understand that having a baby is a big deal, but I have other friends with babies that don't blather on about them.
Gonna have a little snooze now..... Love to you all.

Bunnygirlie · 25/05/2013 18:03

Quiet in here today, people must be enjoying the sun! Been to a local craft/food festival today, was only there a few hours but managed to spot 6 bumps!!!!! And one only looked about 12 grrrrrrrrrrr

Oh look, it's Wine o'clock :-)
