Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Eeek i feel i am running out of time (having a leetle panic now)

Ahh well can i still hang out on this thread, while i am doing my sabitical from dtd? or will you kick me out and make me come back in June next year???

lil1ady · 28/06/2013 23:11

cookie hope is not crazy. you can look at them and think "I'll need that someday soon"

A friend of mine was saying today that shed like a baby next year. my first response was come off bcp now then. she wont listen, its not until you become so familiar with the twot (Grin ) that you realise how naïve you were before TTC about TTC! I hope she's one of the lucky ones

night viroids Smile

Fox82 · 28/06/2013 23:18

Loving the maternity tops cookie. Good prices too..... tempting

I was actually browsing maternity wear on amazon last night! Blush

AndieDisestablishment · 29/06/2013 00:11

Cookie Now I want maternity tops!! I still have my I

DulcetMoans · 29/06/2013 07:18

Oh right! Autocorrect is a funny bugger sometimes!

Agree about being naive lil. When i think back now to all the things I thought then I just think I was an idiot! My advice to anyone would be to start as soon as you can. Obviously need to be a bit settled in life in case it does happen immediately but plan for it to take a while.

So, start I'd day three of being late. No sign yet. Am knackered though and body aches. Meant to be doing a 10k race tomorrow but not sure I can drag my arse round it!

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 29/06/2013 07:41

Hello. dP and I have only been together 7 months, he in his 40s me in my 30s.

3 cycles so far and nothing. JSing, but may have to move off to assisted conception thread. I have one tube, he has very likely got some issues. 2 more cycles and then testing times. Though I take heed of the above. By the time we are investigated I will be the other side of 35.

Today is 11DPO. Just POA IC 10miu. Just going to have a look (neg past 3 days).

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 29/06/2013 07:43

Nope. Mind playing tricks, thought there was was a shade of a shade of something, but no, stark white.

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 29/06/2013 08:47

Oh great. An evap line. At 11dpo. Great. Now I am still holding out hope. I would rather just put it all behind me for this month.

Anyway what a cheery introduction!

Nessalina · 29/06/2013 09:46

Morning all! Smile
Welcome Fitz! This evap line thing is a new one on me, but it sounds hugely annoying!
Gutted that ERTD got you Cookie Sad You were so zen about it I was sure you were going to pop up with a BFP any day! Thanks for you and deffo extra DH hugs!
Love the stag story Essie! Truly amazing!
And last but not least, congrats to Flo! Doing a kitten entirely encouraged I'd say - a BFP every now and again keeps us all sane Grin
The Tide is going out here so getting ready to resume JSing after the weekend. Tried out my first naughty contraband stick yesterday so I know what a 'no' looks like now! I'm pretty confident that I'm a late OVer so not expecting any line action for a while yet, but I think I'll get my cape on anyway, feeling a bit shag-deprived. TMI alert, but it's been 3 weeks since we last DTD because DH has had thrush! Who knew man-thrush even existed?! I've never had it myself, but my DH & Dr Goofle reckon it was caused by a combo of a course of antibiotics + lots of DTD Blush He got some cream from the real Drs and all looks fine now, but was rather odd! I'm sure it won't put him off long term Grin

Rockchick1984 · 29/06/2013 10:24

Whoop whoop Flo!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!! You're due 2 days after me :)

Nessa my ex had thrush once - never been quite so confused as the day I came home from work to find him watching tv with his nob in a tub of yogurt Confused until he explained what was wrong!

Cookie when me and DH first decided to start TTC I celebrated the decision by nipping to H&M and buying a pretty maternity dress, so I'm no more insane than you are :)

My DS won a pink unicorn at a tombola Bear, it always makes me think of the JSing unicorn and I giggle when he walks in carrying "pink horsey" which confuses DH no end :)

I finally did a digi which came up as 3+ (puts me at 5 weeks pregnant) which is good as by my dates I'm 4+4 so at least my hormones know what's happening so far.

frogchops · 29/06/2013 11:15

Rock I just really laughed at the nob in yoghurt. Grin

floatyflo · 29/06/2013 13:46

Thank you for all your congratulations :)

Hasn't really sunk in yet. Who else is still in this month? Anyone peeing soon? :)

coffeewineandchocolate · 29/06/2013 15:05

I'm losing track of months but ertd is due around 11th July (so technically next month). been dtd lots tho so fingers crossed :-)

congrats flo and Rock. Good to see some bfp's on the thread!

Nessalina · 29/06/2013 16:07

Haha!! I'll have to recommend that little home remedy to him if it happens again Grin

Bearfacedchic · 29/06/2013 17:10

Grin Rock at the yoghurt knob. Aw glad you have a real unicorn too. Gosh- you're nearly 5 weeks already? That's going quickly. How are you feeling?

Today I've mainly been squelching around in my own snot and feeling immensely tired at just walking ten mins to the shops and back. Wish this cold and chest invasion would sod off. Did manage some cape action last two days though. 'twas good.

Evening will be spent eating curry, drinking vino and watching Glasto, maybe with some more cape action. Think I have ov'd already as I could really feel it had two lines on contraband which have now disappeared

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2013 09:02

Haha. Yoghurt knob!!

Well done on JSing with a cold bear, that's determination!

So, any test experts out there? I have a run today so I wanted to test before I went to be sure (so I don't over exert!). Did supermarket digi I had which said 'not pregnant' but when I ejected the stick there's defo two lines, not even that faint. Anyone know if these work the same as normal pregnancy tests where a line is a line or more like ov tests where it's down to the strength of the line?

Rockchick1984 · 30/06/2013 09:29

Dulcet digis always have two lines inside, think it was Cookie who did the same earlier this month Sad

frogchops · 30/06/2013 09:38

Bear, my bfp came following dtd with a horrendous cold! Much to dps disgust! Was not the most attractive, romantic of occasions!

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2013 09:40

Cheers rockchick, won't cling to it then but was a moment of excitement!

Rockchick1984 · 30/06/2013 09:44

Randomly, I had a cold last month too! Although on one of the other threads they said an ingredient in chesty cough syrup (glyfsy-whifsy-something) improves cervical mucus so maybe it's not such a coincidence!

Dulcet when are you due on? A first response or an Internet cheapie gives earlier results than digis.

frogchops · 30/06/2013 10:10

Ohh maybe there's something in the cold theory then? Fx that bear got the cape action!

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2013 13:04

I'm four days late but I make it only 9dpo so not expecting a BFP yet if I am anyway. I have some cheapies and did that too which was still BFN, was just being over cautious before the run. Have a FR as well but saving it for now.

Isn't it lovely out! Although not great for doing 10k race! Lol.

Redshoes56 · 30/06/2013 17:20

flo!!! Nice work! Grin Really excited for you. I?m somewhere mid ?literal? phase right now. Really trying to be Zen, and avoiding contraband. I figure if no ERTD by the end of the workweek, it?ll be time to test. I have some early response and digis just for the occasion, which have been collecting dust for months up in the bathroom cabinet. DH keeps physically examining my midsection as if a bump is going to magically appear overnight and asking why I can?t test now. Sigh. Men.

I have made a decision (drumroll please!). If ERTD shows up this cycle, I am calling that very day to make an appointment to get my referral to the specialist. It?s time.

cookie - so sorry about ERTD. Was really hopeful for you this month.

Wow, Essie, that?s an amazing story about your granddad. I?m a skeptic, too, but I think whatever gives you faith, strength and comfort is true. Everyone once in awhile I see someone who looks just like my brother in law (who took his life last year), and it takes my breath away. The most recent incident was at my father in law?s birthday dinner. A young guy at the salad bar was a mirror image of my BIL, same facial hair and even the same voice. I spotted him immediately and worried it would make the family feel uncomfortable, but it ended up being the opposite - FIL took it as a sign he was with us in some way.

Welcome, fitz!

lil1ady · 30/06/2013 19:58

Evening viroids. just home from the spa weekend where I drank, jaccuzzied, sauna'd and steamed. if that doesn't bring on the law of sod nothing will! now when to test.....!

Minion · 30/06/2013 20:13

Alreet shaggers anonymous!
Checking in tonight as in laws have gone home. Well, ERTD due day after tomorrow so hoping she's forgotten about her monthly visit to minion.
Ok, symptom sporting galore here. Boobs, massive and very veiny, along with chest but apparently that happens before ERTD anyway.
Still lots of cm, surely supposed to be 'dry' this close? Also very very sore back and boobs are tingling and stretchy feeling.
Then there's a really weird stitch like feeling on the right side of uterus, had a read of good ol' DR goofle and he says could be the corpus luteum?
And husband won't let me test till next week as we go through this every month...grrrrrr
Anyone with a BFP got anything close to these?
