Chatty, keep, just not many of us I think. It's been a bit of an intense few weeks for the thread with so many IVFs. We've turned into a bit of a long-term TTCers thread rather than just TTC with a hope each month. Sorry, that sounds really negative, I hope you know what I mean because I'm really not saying it very well! I'm really looking forward to our midlands meet-up when you're back in the UK (boo, maybe, and of course anyone else who wants to come, get yourselves on a train if poss!)

sorry maybe, I missed that you had started stimming - congratulations! Did I hear you say you were on gonal-f rather than menopur? Did they say how they chose? Hopefully these drugs will be a bit kinder to you than the downregs, though I think you're still taking a reduced dose of those too? I stimmed for, I think, 10 or 11 days, coasted for one then triggered with pregnyl. Sorry to hear that MrM still isn't playing ball. I think it might be time to consider strike action. He really needs to step up now. I've not spoken to my clinic about this, but if they insisted I continue it would only be one missed dose (tonight) because my appointment tomorrow is at 10am so I could still take tomorrow morning's dose after that appointment. I'm not going to waste any more money doing tests at home, so the only BFN I have to survive now is the one at the clinic.

MrG had a massive shock last sunday when an email came out of the blue from his DD to wish him happy father's day! He's been emailing every two or three weeks but we hadn't heard from her since about march I think. She was in her final year at uni so needed to concentrate a lot on her exams, which is what we put it all down to. Now her course is finished, hopefully the communication can pick up a little bit. MrG is also back to having conversational emails with his DS every two or three days again, and his DS has asked if he can come over to us at some point. He's still concentrating on sorting out a summer job so it may not be for a little while, but it's amazing that he has asked :)

I can't remember who asked about Superman Man of Steel a few days ago - I'm going to see it tomorrow afternoon in 3D, so hopefully it will be good!

keepitgoing · 20/06/2013 10:17

Oh geek that's brill news about mrG's kids :) I saw superman, enjoyed it but there were too many fight/action scenes. I may have had a short nap, it was quite a late show...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/06/2013 10:39

Oh Geek that's great news about MrG. You must be so chuffed. That makes total sense about the meds. How are you feeling about your appointment?

Yes, I'm on gonal-f and still taking the buserilin in the mornings. I have no idea how they choose one over the other. I know they use both at the clinic, so I have no idea. I like the gonal-f as I get to use it in pen form science geek

Biscuitsandtea · 20/06/2013 11:43

Hey, I might be up for a midlands meet up if there is one - I'm not that far away (if I was allowed of course!)

Lots of love to everyone especially those battling through IVF - thinking of you all xxxx

musicalmrs · 20/06/2013 13:22

Great news about MrG's kids Geek!

I'm a tad jealous about a Midlands meet up. I'm too Essex-y and currently car less to think about joining!

Maybe, make MrM pull his weight a bit more! You're going through lots, and need to make sure you relax a bit too (if you can!).

ControlGeek · 20/06/2013 13:24

Ooh biscuits of course you're allowed! We'd love to see you. Just need to sort out a date and venue now :)

maybe you surprise me - I would have thought you'd have been more at home with mixing and drawing the liquid yourself!

Have just sat in on a meeting between MrG and a union rep to discuss MrG's work issue. We are both feeling a lot more positive about things now. Although the situation has to go through formal channels at work, just putting our side across to a third party has been a huge help.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/06/2013 13:38

Meet up you say? Sign me up Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 20/06/2013 13:43

Glad you're feelin more positive Geek have you got a plan of action? My buserilin was vial and syringe, so I'm getting the best of both worlds Grin

Musical I'm Essex too!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/06/2013 13:47

Ooh, Maybe and Musical I feel an Essex meet up coming on for you Grin I can recommend a meet up!

RubberBullets · 20/06/2013 13:50

We need a Cornwall meet up. Anyone fancy a holiday?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/06/2013 14:02

Get the ttc'rs down there, they could do with the Cornish air Wink I'm not risking it again yet!! I will pop in for a Brew next time we go though :)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 20/06/2013 17:42

Firstly let me say thankyou for all you good wishes, it meant alot and made me cry a bit

As expected it was a BFN this morning, we're a bit sad but as I started bleeding on Sunday it wasn't a big surprise. But I rang the clinic this morning and we are now booked in for our next attempt in October, we'll sort out the exact details in August but its good to have something to look forward to. And with holidays and stuff coming up, it hopefully won't seem like too long to wait.

geek I'm so sorry about your false BFP, but don't give up yet. My AF turned up even with the progesterone supplements and yours hasn't. I'll be brooking you get a better result tomorrow.

maybe you've started stimming, I hope you start feeling better soon and Mrmaybe gets on with the housework! Oh and just for you, and I hope you don't get to experience this, whilst the white lumps of crinone falling out are pretty gross, its nothing compared to when they're mixed with slightly old brown blood. Hope I haven't put anyone off their dinner :o

I'm so sorry Beedle. You're being so strong. You really make Crinone sound sexy Wink. So pleased you have a plan of action.

Sparks of course we are waiting! I need newborn snuggles!

Munxx · 20/06/2013 18:06

So sorry beedle but I am starting the brooking for October now! By the time that cycle comes around the brooking will be so fierce and plenty that a BFP is guaranteed.

SweetieTime · 20/06/2013 18:06

Geek great news on MrG kids front. I know it might be a bit soon for you and I don't mean to be insensitive but if you have any questions on donor cycles let me know. I think we might go see Superman tomorrow or Startrek, depends on timings of the showings.

Maybe good luck with the stimming, won't be long now until you know how you are getting on. I watched the Rick Stein in India on TV earlier this week, I wouldn't dare eat some of the things he did. I always wonder if the spices are the same over here that he uses on the show.

Beedle hope you are doing ok, you seem to be quite positive on the next steps. Do they do any more tests in the meantime or have they given any feedback of what to do differently next time?

ControlGeek · 20/06/2013 19:03

What is it with work expecting you to actually do work on your last afternoon before annual leave, eh?

Oooh so many takers on meet-ups across the country! Exciting Grin

beedle (((huge hugs))) for you. I'm so sorry that today confirmed your BFN, but thrilled that you are already booked in for your next cycle. That is so positive, and really gives you something to look forward to. How is MrB handling everything? It really is a numbers game and us first-timers have that against us

SweetieTime · 20/06/2013 19:37

Geek I have sent you a pm, not that I wouldn't share the costs on here but wanted to put it in context for you. You will see from the pm.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 20/06/2013 19:39

Evening Brookers

Beedle and Geek I'm so sorry this first cycle hasn't worked. I wish none of us had to go through this. Life seems so unfair at times. Beedle I really hope the next few months fly by and that you have lots of nice distracting things planned. It's good you have a date planned so there is no uncertainty about the next cycle.

Geek that's great news about MrG kids. I'm curious about having some private tests done as well so I may be picking your brains about it in a few months time.

Maybe I think I'll be using the same meds as you. I'm DR with burselin and I think it's gonal f for stimms. I go in for my teach on the 1st and start injections that day.

I don't know if I've mentioned but I'm going to glastonbury. I'm working the festival. I am not prepared at all as I kept thinking I would end up having to back out due IVF. We are going to have to come back early on Sunday night as our teach appointment is at 09:00 on the Monday Shock the bonus is ill be so busy with work and partying that the 1st July will be here before I know it Grin

Hope everyone else is doing well

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 20/06/2013 19:40

Ps I would be up for a meet up (work permitting as I work weekends) Birmingham is not too far for me on the train Smile
