Excellent news Beedle Grin

Keep that sure does give me hope.

Geek we're allowed to put back 3 as I'm 40 but will see tomorrow! It's starting to feel a bit more scary now!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 30/05/2013 10:54

3!! Gulp. Dh sent me a daily fail article of a lady who conceived quins naturally. That was a big belly thinks of sweeties quads

They are a fab clinic solars, so I'd just go with their recommendation I guess.

Scary, but hugely exciting!!

ControlGeek · 30/05/2013 11:00

solars 3!? As keep says, go with their recommendation. Do you know if you would freeze the remainder?

keep I didn't know eggs could overcook :(

I really don't think I am cut out for IVF. There's not been a day since starting the stims that I've not burst into tears over something or nothing. I am worrying over every tiny stupid thing and I'm already convinced this cycle is a fail.

On the plus side, I have EWCM already and think I am giving out some of beedle's take-me-now pheromones as MrG initiated for the first time in months yesterday Blush

keepitgoing · 30/05/2013 11:09

beedle bet you're learning a whole new Swedish vocabulary through this... At our scan, on realising I speak some Thai the doctor asked if I wanted her to scan in English or Thai... Tough one! I mean, I know the words for eyes nose mouth, but spinal column, blood flow, nuchal thickness are a bit beyond me Grin

BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/05/2013 11:36

probably learning a few new words keep but not ones I could use anywhere else. :o How often do you use the words ovary and fallopian tube in normal conversation :o

geek just so you don't worry about it, my EWCM has reduced the last few days. Sorry you're feeeling so emotional about everything. I'm feelling OK but will probably be a nervous wreck next week and the for the 2ww. Glad you got some of the 'take me now' pheremones too

solars 3 sounds a bit scary but I'm sure they'll advise you about what is best. But seeing as sweetie is leading the way with quads twins you could have triplets :o eek

Solars · 30/05/2013 11:55

Geek one step at a time and I promise you will cope just fine. It's hard but try and stay positive. You will get there just focus on growing those follicles at the moment. I'm not sure about freezing I guess they have to be a certain quality, I'm sure I'll get a better idea tomorrow, I'd like to think that any we don't use tmrw they'll continue to day 5 and see how they fare. I'm just happy we've got something to put back at the moment.

Beedle, Keep DH was all for 3 yesterday morning but come the evening he started to freak Grin Depending on how they are tmrw I guess we would put 2 back. The clinic does allow a split transfer so if any make it to day 5 we could potentially put a third back then Shock

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 30/05/2013 12:01

Solars all 6 fertilized is amazing, and 3 back Shock wow!!

sorry to hear you're having an emotional time of it, but I'm not in the least surprised you have been waiting so bloody long and it's finally happening for you, I think you would have to be made of stone not to be emotional (and of course the drugs don't help!) Big fat yay for Mr G getting his mojo back Grin that's brilliant!!

SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 18:17

Solars great news that all 6 embies are doing so well. I didn't think UK allowed more than 2 to be replaced. Just think very carefully as we are now having a bit of a panic how we will cope with twins octuplets and the child care cost alone are astronomical. Good luck for tomorrow, we had day3 transfer too.

Geek chin up lovely it is only for a short period of time and you have to stay positive

waves to all Brookers

GenericDietCola · 30/05/2013 18:51

Squeee! So excited for solars! Brooking for the sextuplets!

Beedle, great news re your follies too Smile

Geek, I'm sorry you're feeling low, but surely some of that can be put down to the hormones. I am brooking that this cycle will be a success.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 30/05/2013 21:38

Solars more good news, I'm a bit Shock at the option to put back 3. Due to my age ill only be able to put 1 back I think but to be honest I think if they offered 2 I would say yes despite all the risks. I really don't know what I would say to 3 though! I think as the clinic has such a good reputation I would be tempted to go with whatever they recommend.

Beedle great news on the follies.

Face I'm so happy about your scan, how lovely to hear a heartbeat. What's the plan for you now? When is your next scan?

Geek bless you, what a rough few days. No wonder your feeling a bit teary. I think with any assisted conception it hits so much harder if thinks don't go exactly to plan. I'm brooking that they can still do everything they need to. You are such a super strong brooker, remember how much you have already been through. You are a fighter, you can do this. Sending you lots of love.

I'm getting towards the dreaded 2ww, god I hope I get accepted on my next AF or I'm going to go crazy. I'm wishing my life away at the minute!

Love to all the other brookers Sweetie, Maybe, Scarlett, Kitty, Little, Gen Keep and anyone else I've forgotten Smile

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/05/2013 07:04

good luck for today solars i hope its not too hard to decide how many to put back.

geek good luck for the scan this afternoon, I hope they don't keep you waiting around for too long - though at least you won't need a full bladder :o

I'm definately looking and feeling a bit bloated now, luckily I have some baggy tops so no-one else will notice. I'll get a phone call this afternoon once they have decided if I'm having the eggs out on Mon or Tues. Its all gone so well so far that I'm a bit worried its all going to go horribly wrong

solars good luck for today's transfer. Your clinic are fab and will make sure you get the right number for you put back. I hadn't realised that any they didn't put back in would go on to grow to day 5 I think I assumed they would need to deep freeze on the same day as your ET Blush

beedle Brooking for your phone call this afternoon and lots of lovely golden eggs just waiting for collection. Thanks for the EWCM update, I'll not panic when it vanishes, now! Thank goodness for dildocams, I'd hate to have to do all of these scans on a full bladder. Nothing will go wrong for you my lovely, remember you have had The Sign Of The Car Number Plate Grin

keep I'm just Shock at the idea of a scan in another language, even one you've been learning for a year!

thank you boo

cup I think once you're on the TTC treadmill you are constantly wishing your life away. Brooking like mad that you get accepted this time though. They surely can't make you go through this all over again, especially not when you've spoken the nurses there about it all.

Thank you beedle, solars, boo, sweetie, gen, cup, sparks. I know I'm normally a worrier but this is seriously taking the piss now. I feel like a complete emotional trainwreck and I don't know if it's the stims, or my natural hormones, or just the whole stress of it all. I had a complete meltdown about everything the day before yesterday and was almost ready to throw the towel in on it all. Thankfully, dink boss was unexpectedly out of the office yesterday and I'm leaving about 2.45 today so not too many hours of putting a brave face on things.

Just wondering if anyone else has had dire constipation and sore norks whilst on stims?

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 09:27

Sore norks, YES.! And I think constipation is v normal too. geek just take it one step at a time. Don't think beyond the next scan.

Good luck solars!!

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 09:29

so excited for solars! good luck.
big hug for geek I'm sure its just all a bit much isn't it your allowed to have a cry. I'm so happy though that finally its happening for you!
cups how's work? my next scan is on the 10th June when I should be 8+2. on all my meds same as before. ill also be scanned at around 11wks by the fetal medicine consultant for like a full 'structural' check on baby.
its all go here isn't it. I keep losing track!
oh beedles phone call later too!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/05/2013 09:31

geek you're not dim to not realise that they would grow teh eggs to day 5 for freezing, my clinic won't. They will transfer at day 2 and any that they consider good enough for freezing will be frozen then too. though if your clinic does try to go to day 5 they will probably do so for any eggs that might be frozen IYSWIM.

No sore norks here but I think I remember keep saying she had them during stimming (on onwards) so maybe its a good sign :o I have been slightly constipated but I thought it was due to all the eggs I have been eating (for the protein :o )

Sorry you're still feeling so emotional (now I'm feeling a bit of a freak for not being emotional about it at all - see there's always something to worry about Hmm )

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/05/2013 09:33

xpost with keep

I didn't just remember she had said something about sore norks 2 minutes earlier :o

ControlGeek · 31/05/2013 09:46

Haha beedle good bit of comedy timing there Grin You're not a freak for not being overly emotional, you are doing amazingly well.

Thanks keep, it's good to know this is normal for stims!

aww cartoon big hug back. Well done on your heartbeat, that must be so reassuring for you. Not too long to wait for your next one, either. Brooking for a good one!

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 10:00

Sore until about 8 weeks, so get used to it!

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 10:37

we're discussing the average age of a brooker next door, so I've come to investigate. am I the youngest at 27?!

ControlGeek · 31/05/2013 11:20

Not sure about keep and maybe, cartoon, but I think most of the rest of us are the wrong side of thirty.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/05/2013 11:36

I think some of the post grads are quite young cartoon

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 31/05/2013 11:47

I'm 31, I think Maybe is under 30 and Keep is a similar age to me. I wanted to have my first before I hit the big 30 Hmm

Hope everything is going well Solars

Work is going ok, I did some home visits myself the other day which went well. It's my day off so I'm out doing lots of jobs. I just had a panic attack at the bank as I thought my phone had been stolen. I left it in the car Blush

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/05/2013 12:32

had my phone call EC will be monday, I think around 08:30 as we have to be there at 07:30.

I'm glad its Monday as I'll get an extra day to recover after they put one back (i hope, at least one will work surely!) on Wednesday as Thur is a holiday here.

Feeling quite excited now :o

ControlGeek · 31/05/2013 12:40

ooh beedle fab news!! How exciting Grin and perfect timing for you, with Thursday being a holiday and everything. Oooh brooking for you my lovely! Does MrB have an appointment time for his part or does he do that while you are undergoing EC?
