Actually, my friend got pregnant through home artificial insemination. Just need a clean pot and a needleless syringe from boots apparently.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 15:30

Oh and (it's all coming back to me now) after inserting it you need to orgasm so the cervix dips into the pool of semen, then lay on your back for 30 mins in the standard fashion.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 15:30

Lets us know how it goes. Not doing well typing on the iPhone today.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 29/05/2013 16:44

Getting high on syringe Hmm

Is this the new fifty shades?

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 29/05/2013 16:54

Thanks for the hugs penguin Feeling a bit down tonight as I'm off out with a pregnant friend and she is due when I would've been. Actually feeling a bit down and angry today - please, please, please be hormonal and AF be on her wicked way

Had a bit of spotting yesterday, CD33 WTF cycle and was so excited. But nothing since. Ho hum.

Still hoping for you overanxious

And re. the syringe baby camomile, why was artificial insemination used?

Floweroct · 29/05/2013 17:41

Haha can you imagine if that actually got you your bfp!

Have done some retail therapy and now sitting in Starbucks having had a hot chocolate and a big doughnut - I'm sure I read somewhere that when you have af you can eat more calories! But I certainly think when ttc and mc and af are involved we are all entitled to a bit if cake :)

Emki · 29/05/2013 18:01

saggy has gone very quiet .....

Emki · 29/05/2013 18:08

Has it done the trick flower ? Are you feeling a bit better? Cake/ chocolate/ wine all definitely needed at these times x

I've done 2 days on the 8 hour diet this week - however no scales here so no idea if I've lost any weight ..... Not doing it today though and now on 2nd glass of vin - I'm in France remember ..... So its okay ... X

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 18:30

Yes, saggy, I hope we/I haven't upset you with the above stuff. Wasn't meant to. Lots of love your way.

DDMF - he just had trouble ejaculating during intercourse - so they did it as a cheap (and successful) alternative to IUI/IVF. She said they had absolutely no faith in it working whatsoever and they were completely gobsmacked and delighted when it did. Makes me fuzzy remembering it - she'd been so convinced they've never conceive because of it (as in, convinced for years) then it worked second cycle trying it.

OveranxiousUnderated · 29/05/2013 20:18

Hi Everyone...hope you are all holding out okay! Smile

Thanks Saggy for that link you gave me in regards to hcg etc, it was really interesting to read.

OneLittle I used the CBFM for the first time last month, I got one high and then peak the next day. Fingers crossed you get your peak soon. I used my CBFM for one day and now it is all messed up as I haven't turned it back on so I will have to reset it assuming that my pg is not viable. Grr. At least I only used one stick I suppose.

I am ringing the Dr's tomorrow lunchtime for my hcg blood results. Feeling very scared.

x

Floweroct · 29/05/2013 20:31

Yes feeling more positive now thanks emki just worried that my cyst won't have gone away and we'll have to put ttc on hold whilst its sorted but worrying isn't going to make any difference so ill just see what they say on Friday.

Enjoy your wine :)

BakingBunty · 29/05/2013 20:36

overanxious will be thinking of you so much and hope you manage some sleep tonight. Keeping everything crossed for good news.

emki wine is compulsory whilst in France! Enjoy!

I'm still in a slight state of shock here about BFP. So happy and grateful that it happened so fast but just can't stop fretting. I am dreading going to the loo in case I see blood, and am over analysing every single twinge in my stomach mostly wind I think

GP bloody closed all week as they are transferring records or something so feel in a state of limbo.

Anyway, sorry for moaning when I know I am very lucky.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/05/2013 20:48

Oh you ladies are so naughty Shock !!! A man with a bad back needs tea and sympathy, not pots and turkey basters!

Minor celebration for me today, my first post MC day that I'm not wearing big granny pants. Whoop whoop!

Flower, I'm going for another scan on friday too because of a mystery object that might be a cyst. I'm actually hoping that is all it is. Hope it is good news for both of us.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/05/2013 21:12

Aam not really oot a hear! I'm just channelling my inner scot! Confused
I'm glad you are all amused by my poor pathetic DP! Grin
It's all ok though, I showed him the girls when he came in from work, and he has decided he can manage a quickie after all! Grin

. It's like a good therapy session following the chit chat.

The good news today is my cousin is 12 weeks pregnant after 3 consecutive miscarriages. She is so brave and si proud though I know she is finding it hard to enjoy.

My old uni friend gave birth today following many miscarriages and pcos. What a result

Makes me feel positive.

Rockchick1984 · 30/05/2013 00:11

Well, I'm out this month but WILL get my BFP in June - I've decided so hopefully my uterus will comply Grin

It's my own fault, hardly DTD this month, however cycle was exactly 27 days which is what pre-mc cycle was so hoping it is all back to normal. Will be using OPK'S and conceive plus this month I think...

MissP that's lovely news - always good to hear of success stories :)

Yay for the girls working their magic Saggy!

Bakingbunty where I live you can self-refer to the midwife, phone no is on hospital website, why not see if you can do that?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/05/2013 06:41

Well, that's the deed done! We had EWCM and lying there with my legs crossed after, I'm sure I had the old ovulation pain! So I'm full of posifrickintivity today! First time for ages! Grin
