You're dead right alyant, I'm definitely in the crazy hormones phase at the moment. Yesterday I was swinging between tearful, flying off the handle at the smallest things, and feeling super horny! Thank goodness it seems to have settled down today for my return to work so I'm not inflicting that on my colleagues! Grin

alyant79 · 29/05/2013 09:09

Grin at the thought of you inflicting crazy horniness on your work colleagues penguin

over your Dr sounds a little bit useless. I suppose to him a week doesn't sound like a long time, but he's obviously got no idea of HOW SLOWLY time can pass

bit the bullet and bought OPK tests yesterday. got sucked in to buying th expensive clear blue one. did my first one this morning.... looking forward to seeing my first smiley face.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/05/2013 09:16

Oh FFS! DP has put his back out now! I'm NEVER going to get PG!

Floweroct · 29/05/2013 10:03

Oh saggy how rubbish hope he's not out of action for long!

I might be with you on buying a cat! Af arrived today :( will go for a scan on Friday to see if cyst is still there - it obviously will be cos I never get any luck!!

Alyant did you get the dual hormone ones? I have used cbd ones for a while I need it spelling out to me! But I saw last month dual ones where you get a flashy smiley face a couple of days beforehand to show high fertility!

Have the day off today and feeling sorry for myself so may have to have some retail therapy!

Emki · 29/05/2013 11:02

Hello ladies and welcome penguin hope you're finding some support here - these ladies are great!

saggy sorry to hear about DH - how about giving him some volterol (spelling) some heavy duty pain killers..... you can see why my DH says I have no sympathy when he is ill ... Grin

aly I go between CBdig and CB lines - both work for me and I know they're expensive but do keep me feeling in control. Also sorry AF arrived - doesn't she realise she is not welcome!!!

anxious how are you doing? Definitely call up EPAU or your GP again - a week can be such a long time!

floweroct sorry AF arrived Sad {{hugs}} its gotta stay away next month... that is what will happen!

Haven't heard from fod or thunder or OLLT recently - are you ladies about?

fod thinking of you and wondering whether you did the test?

*alice' how are you doing?

As for me I'm still in France staying with my mum - she has taken DD out for the morning while I do some work .... or go on mumsnet AF due on Monday or Tuesday - I've just done an online supermarket shop for arrive on friday night when we get back and have added to it lots of maxi sanitary towels and wine. I'm trying to prepare myself for the fact that AF will arrive but still have that hope that she won't, grrrr - it was all so simple before the miscarriages!!!! I'm trying to stay sane but not doing very well - yesterday I did online retail therapy - oops! I'm finding that ttc after mcs is quite expensive Grin

Also thought the other day that we really must plan nice things for ourselves every week - if not 2-3 times a week - even its just having a relaxing bath ... feel we need these things to help the time go by more easily ... can't actually think of anything myself at the moment - as i'm back at work next week .... but will plan as AF due next week so really need to plan something nice to cheer myself up xx

Here's hoping to BFP in June! xxxx

Emki · 29/05/2013 11:12

I meant guff Not fod Sorry - wondering if you did the test and thinking of you even if I do get your name wrong! Xxx

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 11:56

Hey there

With you floweroct - AF arrived this morning. I knew she would but I am still very grumpy at her presence.

Am quite proud though as only did one poas this cycle and on a Friday! I love rules (teachers pet as a child). We only have tried half heartedly though since mc so I think this month we're going to have to put a bit more effort in.

I totally agree with EMKI's suggestion of arranging lots of fun things. We're off on our belated honeymoon tomorrow (which thanks to my AF I can now drink on so that's a silver lining) which is two weeks taken care off. Otherwise we're trying to get the house all pretty to put on the market (even though we might now delay it 18m, apparently we will incur a £4000 fine for breaking our fixed term mortgage early - should've read the small print). I think girls nights might be another thing to plan.

I'm also quite aware of our missing ladies - hope its due to good stuff rather than bad. Xxx

Really hope AF doesn't arrive EMKI.

Saggy are there any positions which might be more comfy? ;-)

Emki · 29/05/2013 12:23

camomile thank you - me too! Sorry she has paid you a visit but as you say ... You can now have a glass or 10 on your honey moon - where you off too? X

Emki · 29/05/2013 12:29

I mean 'to' - I can't function at all!!!!!! Xxx

OneLittleToddleTerror · 29/05/2013 12:41

Wave to emki. I've just had a very busy week at work with appraisals, and then a busy weekend DIY. Am I the only one who find appraisals stressful? We have to do a self assessment, and also solicit feedback ourselves. This is all before the meeting with manager.

over I found my GP doesn't know anything about pregnancy either. One of the mums in my NCT is a doctor, and she said their training doesn't have anything about pregnancy, birth or breastfeeding. I hope everything is working out ok with you.

I've just got my first high level with my CBFM. It made me feel so happy! This is cycle 1 after my mc, and my AF was a bit WTF. Was only 3 days and then followed by 2 days of nothing, and then a day of spotting. I'm really hoping CBFM will find a peak soon, especially given I've never detected it with the internet OPKs. DH found the monitor today and asked what it was and how much was it. He gave me a Hmm after I told him the price. He's definitely not impressed.

Oh yes, the Wine definitely helps. I had a glass or two with meals for the last few weekends. It's very nice Grin.

Emki · 29/05/2013 12:52

oltt {waves} and thanks for checking in- I do like to keep check

Good news re your cbfm - and re DH finding it as I mentioned ttc after mc is expensive!

Appraisals yuck! Good luck xxx Flowers

alyant79 · 29/05/2013 13:01

yes flower i did get sucked in by the dual hormone ones. I like the idea of getting some warning before the "quick, quick, bonk now!!" smiley face. And I told myself that i could afford them since I only plan to do opks for one month to just check that ewcm and horniness are actually telling me what i think they're telling me and of course i will get pg this month

emki loving the idea of you sitting in france shopping away. sounds idyllic.

cam boooooooooo for AF. why doesn't she just fck the fck off?
But hooray for honeymoon!! I'm also keen to know where you are going. I hope you do drink lots and lots of wine. And wouldn't it be nice to have a honeymoon-conceived baby?

OLTT i also love my glass of Wine on the weekends. I had lots of lovely beer most nights on my hols and have told myself that now we are back we need to cut back to weekend-only Wine. Boo.

hmm I can't think of my good thing for this week. Was meant to be having a girls night on friday, but now DH might have scuppered those plans with a boozy night of his own - and it's my turn to be on DD duty. Boo, boo, boo. Currently hunting for a babysitter.....

GuffSmuggler · 29/05/2013 13:33

I didn't need to POAS as AF turned up with a vengeance last night, was just a cruel trick taking 2 days to get going grrrrrrrr. Flower sorry the evil witch has got you too Sad

RIGHT, going to pick myself up and dust myself down and BLIMMIN WELL GET PG THIS MONTH!! Am off to order some OPKs.

saggy I think you're just going to have to tell DH to man up and er ride through pain to get the job done!

overanxious sorry your GP seems bit rubbish and you have a horrible wait, just keep posting here as I know you feel like you can't keep going on about it in RL.

Emki · 29/05/2013 13:38

guff bfps in June for all! Was so hoping AF wouldn't get you but well done - this is the month!!! Xxx

GuffSmuggler · 29/05/2013 13:50

Everything crossed for you Emki Come on BFPs!!

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 14:01

We're going to Cornwall because when it was booked we were expecting I would be seven months pregnant by this point and not up for travel... Seven months pregnant with the baby conceived on our mini-moon straight after the wedding. Sigh. Taking it as a good thing though, obviously we have a good track record for getting me knocked up whilst on honeymoon so we'll go with that as a plan! Plus Cornwal is actually lovely. We'll have a fab time.

Altant love the f£&k the f:£k off, exactly how I felt.

Seems we have a lot of AFs in the last 24h. Anyone left to test Fri?!

I love my CBFM. My first peak was one of the most exciting moments of this whole sorry experience.

Xx

Floweroct · 29/05/2013 14:09

Sounds like af has been doing the rounds this week, at least they'll be a few of us who get bfps at the same time next month :)

alyant I got the dual ones too last month, I only got one flashy smile and then the solid one the next day but it then stayed like that for a couple of days - as in it didn't disappear at all so I thought it might have broken but its gone now so you'll have to let me know how it goes for you.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 14:10

Sorry, Alyant - typo. Xx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/05/2013 14:16

FFS! For the first time since February, everything is in alignment! I have EWCM, it's right on track, and my bloody DH is out of alignment! Typical! Confused

OP posts:
CamomileHoneyVanilla · 29/05/2013 14:18

. On a serious note though: how f£&king frustrating for you both. If he genuinely can't do it I recommend channelling the frustration into taking a nursing role. Xxx

OneLittleToddleTerror · 29/05/2013 14:27

saggy it has happened to me many times during the winter. DH too poorly to DTD when the time came. It's really frustrating. I'm sure he'll be better next cycle!

GuffSmuggler · 29/05/2013 14:38

Wank in a pot?

Emki · 29/05/2013 14:40

guff you made me laugh x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/05/2013 14:46

Camomile I might squash him! Blush and what a scary view for a poor sick bloke! The respective is enough to turn him blind! Grin
I'm thinking of buying a turkey baster!
