Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

Thanks goosey I've no idea what they can do about it. Anyone else know? I'm at a bit of a loss. DH doesn't seem worried but I am. Think he's going to ring our gp back and ask some more questions that I've told him to ask as he was on the train when the gp called.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:06

Can anyone who's taken Clomid tell me about when you're likely to O? I've been told to take it CD2-6. I guess the CBFM still works when taking meds..? Have to see if I can find the leaflet. If any of you can do my FC's job for her have any advice that would be great!

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:09

Good to hear you've got your referral yorkie. How long have you been TTC? I'm off to the GP tomorrow to demand enquire about being referred. Only been TTC 10 months but feel that's long enough. Plus lovely GP who has now deserted me left the practice said I could be referred early. Should I lie and say I've been trying the full year?

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:09

sorry goosey never taken it

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:27

happy been ttc since Sep last year with mmc in Dec. yes glad we are being referred but concerned about test results.

Def say to your gp that your previous one said you'd be referred this month if no success. I'd be surprised if they went back on what your previous gp said as it would make them look incredibly incompetent.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:27

Hi Happy - your notes probably say how long you've been trying - I've seen different people and they knew. But you could say of course something like well that's when we started monitoring it but we hadn't used contraception for...

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:30

but actually what Yokie says is probably more to the point.

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:34

My last prescription for the pill was Feb/March 2012 and took that until August. Told the GP last time I'd been trying since last summer and she said she'd be vague in her notes so think I should be ok! Do you have to have tests before being referred? I've had the progesterone and DP has had a jizz test. Anything else?

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/05/2013 21:37

Flings self on sofa of pity dramatically. I have cystitis And I haven't even had sex Hmm

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 21:40

Evening all, hope you had a good day.
yorkie refer all to fc sounds promising, I have no idea about optimum levels I'm afraid.
How can they tell swimmers are going the wrong way?

bunny yay for docs finally getting bloods, fix for good results

boom glad exam went well

I'm tired, busy day. Heading into shag week now so better get the berocca out!

Will start opk tomorrow as expecting to ov on Friday. Have been temp charting for 3 days and temps have been consistent if a little high.

DH and I have decided that if it doesn't happen for us this month then we will go to docs as it will be a year TTC and looking at last months chart we DTD at all the right times around ov.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:41

I think GPs might vary a bit but this is what I had:

Before they could refer me:
CD3 blood count and FSH/LH (I think!)
CD13 an ultrasound
CD21 oestradiol and progesterone
Jizz test

After initial consultant appointment I had an HSG and more progesterone test.

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 21:44

Apologies, missed a whole page of posts when I wrote mine!

Waves to everyone I missed,
merkin cranberry capsules did the trick for me, I used to get it a lot.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:45

Flowers for Merkin as can't offer you Wine or [tea] and no pic for cranberry juice! Poor you, cystitis is hideous

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:46

and apparently no pick for tea! I mean Brew

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:48

Ugh FB pregnancy announcement from chavvy second cousin who had her 1st dc at 16 then declared she'd never have another. Sad

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:49

Sorry Merks completely ignored you there . How's the work situation? What's happening with you at the moment ? Boooo to cystitis.

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:51

happy as well as the tests that goosey mentioned I'm also having a ultrasound done prior to fc referral.

scone that's exactly what I thought - how on earth can they say they are going in the wrong direction?! I do wonder if it is DH's wording. I've asked him what she said 3 times now and he says I need to stop asking him now!

Good luck with shag week scone!

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 21:55

happy boo to fb, there should be a filter for blocking child related posts!

yorkie perhaps they swim sideways or something? You might have to get gravity to help!

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 22:10

I've now got images of DH's swimmers laying on a lilo drifting slowly sideways and laughing at me!

barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 23:00

Bad evening Sad . Just after DP left the house at around 6 I noticed something on the dog's ear. Looked more closely and it was a massive gash, made my stomach heave just looking at it. He has really fluffy ears (collie x spaniel) so I hadn't noticed earlier. I got all upset and called DP who said leave it, it'll be fine. Was supposed to be going out for a run so picked up my mate and her dog (which I asked her to keep in the front of the car away from mine) and drove to the park we were running in via where DP was, and he came out to have a look. He still said 'see how it goes'. I was really worried. It was a proper hole, looked like he'd torn the top layer of skin (as in 5mm of it in thickness) and pulled a big hole in it, 10p piece size. I thought it would need stitches both to keep out the dirt and to close the hole. I ignored DP's advice and drove to the vet (it was on the way to the park anyway) with mate still in the car. I took the dog in and asked the vet nurse on reception what she thought, and she said she'd get a vet to have a look asap. .
Vet said yes definitely stitches, but he'd eaten too recently so had a couple of injections (antibiotics and pain killer) and she bathed the wound. Got to leave him at the vets first thing tomorrow morning as I can't drop him off at 11 as I'm in work Sad . Hate leaving him there to wait in a cage Sad . He'll have an anesthetic and stitches tomorrow lunchtime and I'll pick him up after work. He doesn't seem remotely fussed but I'm quite distressed about it Sad . Called my job share/deputy and she said she'd cover my register in the morning if I wasn't at school in time. She's also got a dog and no children so understands completely how much the dog means to me Smile .

Bunnygirlie · 13/05/2013 23:01

yorkie off to Spain for a week, may not be able to get wifi (or wiffy as my mate calls it) so don't leave without me!

Sideways swimmers?!? Well they do say men can't ask for directions!

happy I don't call it lying, I call it stretching the truth! My doc knew I'd been off the pill a year in feb so we started tests then but we didn't actually start TTC till June so we reach a year at the end of this monthSad

Hey merks sorry to hear you have the burn

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 23:02

DP thinks he did it this morning, he stuck his head under a mesh fence to retrieve his frisbie and must have caught his ear on it as he pulled his head out Sad .

Bunnygirlie · 13/05/2013 23:16

Sorry barking cross posted, hope you pooch is ok, when we only have furry babies they are our life, I know how worried you must be! Hugs x

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 14/05/2013 02:57

oh barking you are clearly ready to be a mum! Look what a good mum you already are! My vets must think I'm some mind of cash 'cow' as I'm always taking her (itchy ears, not smiling etc). Although had to take her for an enema a few weeks ago as she was massively constipated!

boom well done with the exam

merks cystitis can be stress related hon x

Re Facebook, starting to miss the cat so curiosity got the better of me and I had to look at updiffed friends profile (who is looking after her). Every other post / pic is of my cat and how she loves the bump Sad. She's going to be very disappointed to come home to my empty tummy :-/

barkingtreefrog · 14/05/2013 07:53

I need Berry power this morning. AF due today and face full of spots and bursting into tears for no good reason show she's definitely on her way today or tomorrow.
I am not looking forward to taking the dog to the vets and leaving him there this morning. Possibly the worst day of the month I could have to do this!!! Sad

Also, DP has upset me through no fault of his own. His mates bought him a ticket to see Green Day in London. I used to be a huge fan and am massively jealous. Also, for him to go to London to attend it means we will have to cut our half term holiday short Angry . It's all his uni friends and it's the birthday of one of them and another is back from Australia so it's a no brainer that he's going, just wish they'd told him earlier so I could have got a ticket as well, even if I dragged someone else along with me!! No idea whether it's a boys only thing, but if I find the rest of them are all taking wives and girlfriends and I've been forgotten about (I've only met them all a couple of times) I'm going to be even more pi55id off Angry .

So, that's my rant for the morning done. Can't wait for today to be over and AF to be here so I can stop being an emotional mess and get my HSG booked in!!
