Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

Just a quickly before bed. Another busy day in the tea shop, then went out with some friends to see Mic key Flanagan. Was really dreading going as so tired but ended up having a great night.

Passes cake to everyone who had a rough day.

Working again tomorrow, no proper days off for me until Wednesday 22nd :0(

BlindKitty · 13/05/2013 06:15

barking thanks, sun IS out!! Woop woop!

boom you are officially banned from mn until your exam is over!!!!

Well maid must have seen special cup complete with urine yesterday Blush. Managed to get some opks though that come complete with special pots! No more 'incidents' haha x

Can you detain him in bed for a while before work on Friday Happy? I can imagine my DF's horror reaction if I tried that! Hmm but always think others might have more obliging DPs.

Frustrated because CBFM has just gone straight from low to peak (on day 15, really early for me) meaning we can only dtd on two relevant days on our last cycle before starting Clomid.

Barking hope your holiday was good despite the rain - I was waiting for you to appear and tell me my fc is talking bollocks! Its just so confusing when you have to analyse the validity of everything you're told by the people who're supposed to be answering all your questions!!

Bunny I had low progesterone on cd21. My next set of tests (3 in one cycle) confirmed what I'd already told them that I am ovulating just late in cycle. I know you're not keen on charting, but honestly, if you're getting no +ves on the OPKs then you should try it to see if temps can tell you whether you are. I found taking temps a mild annoyance for the first couple of months and now I'm a) just so used to it I barely notice I'm doing it and b) wouldn't again be without the reassurance of where I am in cycle. I also got on much better with CBFM rather than OPKs (which didn't give me +ves a lot of months) - hold on, just realised I'm sounding like a broken record and I've said all this before!! Blush Oh well, just goes to show how much I mean it! Smile

Anyway, hey ho it's off to work we go. Though luckily not continuously til 22nd - commiserations Scone!

Good luck with the revision Boom (not that you should see this message Smile )

happylass · 13/05/2013 07:36

Goose he leaves for the airport 3am Friday - I don think even my dedication stretches that far!! Will have to make do with Thursday eve and jump him again when he gets home Saturday eve!
Bunny you've been an Elderberry all this time and you don't temp Shock. As Goose said you don't even notice it after a while (I honestly can't remember taking my temp this morning but I must have cos it's on my chart!) plus it takes away all the guessing re OV. Are you using ic OPKs or digis? Find I rarely get a strong positive with ics as don't think my surge lasts that long and I usually miss it but am def OVing. Off to work. Go now Berries. Have a great day all!

happylass · 13/05/2013 07:38

Off to work I go now Berries* that was meant to say. Wasn't ordering you all to your jobs honestly! Bloody iPad!

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 07:51

Morning all, hope everyone has a good day today.

Last month was my first using opks, I got my positive on cd14 today is cd10, shall I start using opk tomorrow or do you normally ov on same CD each cycle?
My cycles are always Bang on 25 days so not sure as I read somewhere that leuteal phase is always the same each month?

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 08:06

Hehe go now Berries - I read it more as a superhero call to action or as in Go cats go. Anyway I like it!

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 08:11

He he go now berries go forth and multiply.

New motto?

BlindKitty · 13/05/2013 08:51

boom obviously you're reading this AFTER your exam... What exam is it anyway? Ann summers item has a special makeup bag withal entry of preseed and applicators rammed in there for good measure

goosey how about go go power berries (sang in the power rangers theme tune)

bunny like goosey said, you just get used to doing it and it stops being a pain in the arse after a while. Is usful to compare when ov actually is when using opks.

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 09:30

Morning all,

Working from home today so must resist urge to be distracted by mn. Saturday night was quite nice in the end. My friend didn't ask any questions other than raise an eyebrow when I said I wasn't drinking - he was too busy showing everyone pictures of his child and bragging about his business and new house to care which suited me fine!

Lots to catch up on! Sorry skim reading and may miss something so apologies.

Goosey glad you managed to get hold of some special sweets and you're on the IVF waiting list.

boom Glad to hear you're feeling a bit calmer. I can understand your frustration about it not quite panning out like you thought it would but just think when you do get pregnant it means you'll be monitored more which will hopefully provide some ongoing reasurrance for you. Good luck with the exam!

tally sorry af arrived.

ooh barking glad to hear there is another yorkshire resident in our midst. I would love to move back but DH's work means he needs to be near London. With our recent move I am v slowly edging closer to yorkshire though!

Test result week this week. Need to chase DH's swimmers results still and I'm ringing up for blood tests on Wed. I'm in anxiety ridden mode as I've been waking up sweating a bit on and off for a while and I know that is a peri-menopausal symptom so I'm convinced something is wrong. Hoping it's just my paranoid nature.

Sorry if I've missed anything important. Hope you all have a lovely day berries.

MrsB00Mbastic · 13/05/2013 09:30

Obviously kitty. Not procrastinating at all. It's research in practice, it's the most boring load of statistics and research papers ever, have to memorise a zillion references. NOT HAVING FUN!

Ha go now berries...I just have that song in my head 'oh now go..walk out the door...'

bunny I don't temp, what with the cycles being so ridiculously long and my hormones being so squiffy I just feel I'm setting myself up for a) frustration or b) disappointment if I do. Besides which at this rate it'll be months before I get even one full chart and I'm all about instant gratification which is why I'm so crap at ttc because I want it NOW That said, I think everyone who has managed to stick with it has found it useful - maybe I'm just sticking my head in the sand with it.

Right. Last bit of cramming and then walk dog and head off. Wish me luck berries, I'm going to need it!

happylass · 13/05/2013 10:40

Scone I too have a 25 day cycle and I almost always OV on cd11. However there has been the odd occasion where I've OVd on cd12 or 13 ( but then AF had been later too so you're right about the LP phase not changing). If I were you I'd start with the OPKs now, at least until you get to know your cycle a bit better.

BlindKitty · 13/05/2013 11:05

I knew you couldn't resist boom!

Well just found myself a nice kobana, got my cocktail, got my book and BAM there it is, in the pool right in my eye line... Someone's dh feeling their baby bump!!! Felt like throwing my 'Sex on the beach' at her or at least just the decorative pineapple)

Tallyra · 13/05/2013 11:37

well kitty, I just got a very unexpected toddler kissing new baby bump I wasn't aware of photo pop up on facebook again today. I hadn't even considered that they might be going for a second. Sad Sad Sad Angry

Tallyra · 13/05/2013 11:42

I'm considering going fb blind but I have too many friends I keep up with on it. Sad

Tallyra · 13/05/2013 15:01

And a message to all of you that encouraged me with the weed... Shame on you! Wink I should have known better - woke up with a migraine today. I guess I've just found another trigger....Sad

BlindKitty · 13/05/2013 17:16

tally oh pic sounds like it would make me want to die inside! My friend (in same boat) has deactivated her account yesterday. I'm just limiting A LOT of people's activity!

SidneyBristow · 13/05/2013 17:56

Hi berries, trying to catch up after a hectic week - Sick SK, sick dog, hurt my own back but am recovering....life goes on! CD10 here and DH has chosen the "shag daily" method of TTD; I wee on things behind his back but can't find fault in his logic, even though it makes me nervous to abandon OPKs altogether (so I'm not!).

welcome scone, you have my dream job, sadly I have no self-control so could never trust myself around gorgeous cakes all day Sad

Boom sorry to hear of your scan results, that had to be a big surprise but it sounds like you're handling it really well Thanks Why are they so hesitant to diagnose PCOS though? Or am I just reading too much into it?

Tally even reading about your holiday made me want to reach for an illegal substance so who could blame you for taking advantage! Sorry for the migraine. It will pass!

Kitty I swear the universe throws pregnant ladies and tiny babies our way just to keep us on our toes! They are everywhere esp in Kston and next door as of last week, sob

Only new news my way is that the neuro my GP referred me to has said he's happy to sign off that I'm completely well and can be referred to a FC at any time, as far as he's concerned. I've gone off my meds which have kept rather nasty headaches at bay, so the last few days haven't been great, but perhaps it will pass. Not so ready to hit the FC just yet though. I keep feeling like it will happen naturally in the next few months, if I just give it time. Delusional, or just trying to be less impatient? Wink

barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 18:00

I keep hiding people on fb, although it's getting to the point that I feel I need to tell a few people what I'm doing so they know why I'm suddenly not responding to what they post. Only closer friends who I speak to via fb on a relatively frequent basis but who live far away so only contact really is fb. I know the ones I'd speak to would understand, and I'd rather do that than just look like I'm ignoring them. One friend for example has three gorgeous daughters and is always posting about their adventures in a very entertaining way, but I could do without the pangs of jealousy. She knows we're trying and I'm sure she'd be lovely about it.

barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 18:04

sid it's likely to take a few months to see the fc so personally I'd ask for the referral then get knocked up naturally while waiting to be seen and take pleasure in cancelling the appointment as you don't require their services Wink .
That's what my mate did and she's the one currently diffed with twins!!Envy

MrsB00Mbastic · 13/05/2013 19:10

Evening berries, one and all!

Exam done. I can't say that I aced it, but I'm feeling fairly confident that I at least achieved the pass mark so that will do. Got to wait a month to find out now...

Hello Sid, nice to see you! Glad you've got signed off by the neuro doc, and good on your DH giving it his all! Hope you do get your BFP, but like Barking says is it worth getting your referral through in the meantime? You're unlikely to get an appointment for at least 3 months anyway from what I gather, plenty of time in which to get diffed Grin

I don't think they're particularly hesitant to give me the PCOS diagnosis, it's more that it takes 6 wks to see a doctor following scan. Hopefully next time I see them they'll agree with what I've been saying since day dot my self-diagnosis.

Kitty how rude of the belly-rubbers! Flaunting a bump in front of a berry should require instant Thai jail time Hmm

Tally sorry to hear you suffered after your little indulgence. Hope you're feeling better. And definitely - block FB! A whole week and no tears because of bump pictures here!

Right, off to the gym. Sadly DH is the PT at the class I'm going to, and I don't want to tell him that I had two pints of super-strength peach cider after the exam...does anyone think he'll notice I'm a bit on the wobbly side..?

Bunnygirlie · 13/05/2013 20:11

Ello, sorry been busy all day packing and stuff, only just sat down to chill with a vino!

Well the docs have my blood so we'll see what they say!

goose I did get +OPKs this month but I may give in to temping next month! happy yeah I know, a berry from the start and yet I don't chart! Ooh I'm a poet and I didn't know it!

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 20:29

packing bunny - sounds exciting! Where are you off to on your hols?

So test results in for me and DH. Everything okay apart from the fact his swimmers are going in the wrong direction and therefore the result shows borderline subfertile. He has to go back next week and retest so not sure if I should be worrying or not.

For me all mine are okay apart from progestrone which is low (18) but I did explain that I think I ovulated later than normal (day 18 as opposed to normally 14-16) and went in for my tests on cd 20 so that would probably explain that wouldn't it?? The only thing I was concerned about was the fact that my lh and fsh levels weren't tested on cd3. I did ask her about this and she said that it wasn't a problem? Also got thyroid tested and my tsh levels were 0.6 which apparently is fine but I've read that optimial level for conception is between 1-2. Any ideas?

Regardless she's referred us to a fc which she says will take a few months.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 20:52

You could ask for another progesterone if you want to make sure Yorkie? Sorry about the news on your DH's swimmers, do you know what they tend to do about that? Good you've got your referral, I hope it comes through quickly.

Sid I agree with Boom and Barking, it can't harm to set the ball in motion, and you can still decide to take your time later on. So jealous of your DH's commitment to the cause.

Boom surely you deserve a couple of pints after an exam! (Are you not meant to be drinking?) I guess whether you get away with it depends how co-ordinated you normally are in his class Grin I normally dash off in the wrong direction in any vageuly choreographed gym classes without having a drink!
