Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

bunny hope you're feeling better soon doesn't get too close mind

goosey I'm wondering whether to ask if I can have a dildocam too. Seems strange I haven't been offered one.

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 14:49

Hi berries!

And hello to the long-lost wimwom and pip, nice to have you back and hope you're loving your new house pip!

Bunny hope the lurgy is on the way out

Blind I think they usually do dildocam if your bloods show you're not ovulating or you have very irregular cycles? But I don't have a great understanding of the inner workings of their logic or lack thereof when they're deciding what tests to do. I'd definitely ask for one when you get to FC! I've got another appointment for it on Saturday to see what these here ovaries are up to. Starting to feel like I'm having an affair with the sonographer, I've had so many intimate moments with her magic wand!

Finally off work for a couple of days! Tried to have a lie-in this morning but the dog jumped on my ovaries, instantly both waking me and crushing any eggs I may have had in waiting Hmm

Babymaking has been going badly. Shifts have clashed with husband's work so we've been ships in the night, and I've had thrush again so no dtd for the past week. Pimped this morning as it's cd29 and I thought I'd just check, but of course BFN again. I know I'm out for this cycle, but looks like it's going to be another loooong anovulatory one and I can't book my hycosy until AF shows up, whenever that may be. Just waiting, waiting, waiting without any hope of a BFP sigh

Sorry for the lengthy grumble! On the brighter side, this made me smile the other day... (the irony of the pre-video advert is not lost on me however..)

Tallyra · 08/05/2013 17:07

word of advice... don't call it a dildocam, it's called something like a trans vaginal ultrasound....

BlindKitty · 08/05/2013 17:24

boom all my bloodwork was fine but just want to get it checked as my friend (the one who is also struggling ttc) had just had one and they found a cyst on her uterus wall

tally haha great advice!!! When's your appointment? X

yorkiebilb · 08/05/2013 18:41

Evening all

DH's swimmers test result saga continues. He rang up docs yesterday to get results and they say they still haven't arrive and there is nothing they can do about it. Rings hospital who basically say its not their problem as they've sent them. So he ends up having to go backwards and forwards between the two to ask them to fax over the results to the docs. Why they can't speak to each other I don't know! Rings the clinic this afternoon to ask if they've been faxed and they tell him they've been too busy to do it! Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear AF arrived happy fx for next cycle.

bunny hope you're feeling better - think you've passed on your germs to me! Wink

barking frustrating about the temp drop. maybe it is just a one off and it will go back up tomorrow? glad to hear fc appt has come through and there is a date to focus on now.

Bunnygirlie · 08/05/2013 18:49

Hello! Step away from the bunny, she is still full of lurghy! Fed up now, feel like my face is going to fall off! Sorry yorkie hope you haven't got it!

Thank you for your good wishes, hope you are all well.

boom sorry to hear you're having a bad month

Wonder if I will end up having the dildocam?!?!?

OP posts:
yorkiebilb · 08/05/2013 19:11

bunny lol about you apologising to me! Grin

CharmingCats · 08/05/2013 19:22

boom loved that video. The only one they missed was, 'enjoy the practising/have you tried spicing things up?'!

barkingtreefrog · 08/05/2013 19:57

yorkie I think I'd be going mad. How hard is it to send results to where you were supposed to send them anyway?!
Yes, very happy to have a date to go back to the fc. Feeling like I'm treading water until they do something to help lengthen my LP!!!

Boom great video, I was ticking off the phrases I've had said to me!!

Tallyra · 08/05/2013 20:00

my appointment is on 11th June kitty, but it won't be dildocam just yet, it's probably just an information gathering one this time.
I have had a few in the past each time I miscarried and they are a bit humiliating but don't hurt at all.

However. I have just reached a new low. you know the advert for Robinson's where two boys are having a great day then one turns out to morph into the other's dad? I just burst into tears watching it. green week has been and gone with no bedroom action this month again and although I shouldn't be all hormonal, dh is at work until 11 and I don't know what happened. Weirdly my nipples have been really sensitive these last few days. not sure what that's all about.
If I had icecream and chocolate I'd be gorging tonight. Sad

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 20:00

Yorkie that's ridiculous. I wish these admin folk could understand how much the delays affect people awaiting news that is potentially life-changing. Sometimes I think if we didn't phone up to chase things we'd still be waiting for results years down the line! I've had to call the clinic again today because no request form for DH's jizz test has been sent out to the house or either of our GPs despite being 'fast-tracked'. Grrroooarrr!

charming heh yeah there were a couple I thought they could have added on: 'stressing won't help' being my number one offender, and 'at least you don't have to worry about stretchmarks/getting fat/droopy boobs'....!

tally bwaha I might call it a dildocam on Saturday. Just to see her face.. Grin

Frogcatcher · 08/05/2013 20:23

Evening just lurking as usual & thought I'd share that I have discovered that I think you can just pay for what appears to be a dildocam at a private screening place. This is the one I found near me that says it does gynae scans but they must be all over the place. No prices but if its not too much might be worth it for reassurance. .
Just don't call it a dildocam

Frogcatcher · 08/05/2013 20:26

No I lied - it costs £80. And yes I did find it when looking for somewhere that does early pregnancy scans Blush. Sorry.

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 21:25

Frog if you want an early scan just tell them at booking that you don't know the date of your last period. Simples Grin.

Tally sorry you're having a rubbish time. Can't say I know the Robinson's advert but have been known to cry at various other child-depicting ones so know the feeling! Can I offer you a large small and sensible glass of Wine? And some sympathy cheesecake? No calories in pity food y'know..

Tallyra · 08/05/2013 21:38

I found carob spread. snuggled with dog and feeling a bit better now thanks. virtual cheesecake is also received gratefully.Smile

Cate555 · 08/05/2013 21:51

Oh no I am totally pissed off!! Have spotting and definate AF pains think it will be here tomorrow which is only 8DPO!!! So that must mean I have a really short luteal phase. If so I am marching off to see a different doctor as my own is useless and condescending! Angry

BoodIeBee · 08/05/2013 22:08

Tally - I understand about the Robinsons adverts! I hate any advert which uses parenthood as its central theme (which pretty much means I hate ALL adverts). I don't like the Asda one with the lady who bought too many baby wipes, especially when she says 'people must think he's some kind of superman'. (Reminds me of instadiffers who say their DH's must have super-sperm. Fuck wits.) Can you all tell I'm in a good mood tonight?! Whilst I'm ranting, Yorkie, clerical errors, whilst annoying, I can handle. HOWEVER, I hate it when they just try to blame one another...someone just say sorry and sort it out!!! I'm Angry on your behalf.

Sooooo, I got HSG'd today. OK - I'll admit it, I was worrying about nothing. I took some period pain tablets beforehand and it was fine. Definitely got some cramping going on now but it's nowhere near as bad as the period pain that I get. Oh yeah, should probably add -all clear. Should be pleased but it's difficult when all I can think is 'what next?'

BoodIeBee · 08/05/2013 22:11

Cate, understand your short LP anguish. Is it any consolation at all that you're in good company?

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 22:23

Hey boodle, glad it went well, here's to moving on to the next step for you (or maybe one of those mythical post-HSG BFPs!) Hoping AF will show up here soon so I can get on and have mine too.

Cate that's pants. Sorry she's here so soon, hope you find a doc who's a bit more sympathetic than yours seems to be.

Have mistimed dinner tonight and still waiting for the sodding joint to cook. Nothing like an 11pm meal to guarantee weird pregnancy dreams!

Pipbin · 08/05/2013 22:23

Well, IVF appointment today.
I can start on my next cycle day one if I want. However it would be much better for me if I did it on the next cycle because then the bulk of the appointments will fall over the summer holidays.

So who has had BFPs then?

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 22:28

Not me pip! But the lovely frog and book have both started the BFP charge, and foody a little while ago.

So exciting to hear you can get started as soon as you're ready! How are you feeling about it?

BoodIeBee · 08/05/2013 22:30

Pip, is it wrong that I quite like having appointments during the school day so that I can have a break from my class?! The people who organise all our cover are 'in' on my problems though, so I guess that makes it easier for me.

Boom, I wish I could get my hopes up for the post-HSG BFP, and perhaps if they had found and shifted a blockage, I'd believe it could happen. However, it was all completely clear, and that ain't gonna fix the crappy luteal phase, sadly!

MrsB00Mbastic · 08/05/2013 22:37

Boodle yeah, understandable. Bloody hormones eh! So do you know what's next for you?

BoodIeBee · 08/05/2013 22:40

Back to the FC in 6 weeks or so to discuss HSG results and my progesterone/prolactin blood tests. I suspect I will have to open wide and let them throw clomid at me for a few months.

Bunnygirlie · 08/05/2013 22:41

Ah ah ah ah ahchoooooo! Hope you don't get my lurghy!

tally sorry you're having a bad day!

boodle glad hsg was ok, pip all go with ivf then, are you nervous?

Loved the sh!t breeders say video, think I would lunch somebody like that in the face! However it did lead me into watching many clips of women telling people they are pg, cue tears, oh dear! I blame this cold!
