I lurked for a year or so - and when I finally made my on-thread-debut prior to a looooong awaited fert.cons appt. it turned out I was mere weeks away from PESHdom (after 3+yrs TTC). 35+5 now and still skeptical that all this faff will result in an actual baybee .

It was almost 2 years in the end.

Nope no reasons at all.

In the end I had an HSG and one round of Clomid.

I am sure it was the HSG that did the trick and cleared something out.

We were very lucky.

I was hoping the HSG would do the trick. It's one of those things that even the consultant tells you.

I am still reeling from having the actual baybee in my arms. My literal thinking on holding the positive pee stick in my arms was Well that can't be right!. I think we will wait a while before trying to win another baybee. I am 31 which helps with that mindset I think and I guess with our fertility ishoos in theory it should be quicker next time round..,

Have you got a pair of chaps (half-chaps), Twinks? They are exactly what you need. If you already have some, then more time on a horse until you HTFU is all I can suggest, I'm afraid.

Unless you meant gynae procedure stirrups, in which case i recommend knee socks. Though I'd love to see the nurse's face when you swaggered up, naked but for a pair of half-chaps.

Half chaps

Any saddlers will stock them, and you can pay as much as you like. A bog standard pair will be around £20 I would think, though it's been a long time since I bought some. I had a made-to-measure leather pair once, they were wonderful and lasted for years and years.

You can get them online too, but I'd personally rather try them on, but then I've got short legs and wide calves so it can be tricky to get them to fit me.
