Trying to Conceive Thread . . . .3!!

Right oh.

I thought the TTC Thread no. 2 was getting a bit depressing and we all need cheering up with extra sprinkles of babydust, so I thought I would start a new thread.

I also have a motive - having looked back at the last 4 ttc threads I have noticed (being the sad person I am) that the thread originators all became pg during the life of the thread.

So . .

Here's me:

24 years old, DD 16 months, ttc since September.

Anyone joining me on this nw, happy thread?

Just a quick update - spoke to my boss when I got in and she said "get yourself to a doctor now!" and arranged a supply teacher for me for the day. So I will be off as soon as I can get an appointment.

Fisil, I hope everything is ok at the docs. I think they can tell if you're pg by feeling your cervix. Ouch.

Harman, hope you enjoyed your drink, I had a couple of glasses of wine last night but much less than I would normally have. Really want a ciggie too, must be all this stress but I WILL NOT SMOKE, never again (the urge to never goes though, damn it).

Kay dont worry, you are not the only one obsessing. Dh keeps telling me not to get too fixated as I mightr be setting myself up for disappointment but I cant help it.

Still bleeding, now like a light period - what's going on???

futurity · 11/02/2004 08:37

Still no news from me. AF not turned up and I am on day 32. The last cycle was 29 days and the one before 31 so not sure what to make of it all. Have already taken two tests which were negitive but read on an old thread the other day of women who had negitive tests originally and took ages to get a positive even though they were pregnant.

Anyway..not going to test until at least Saturday as can't afford all these tests!!

bunny2 · 11/02/2004 09:11

Futurity, do you have Poundland near you? They do 2 for a pound! Good luck with testing at the weekend. Last pg, I finally got a pos after 4 tests.

bunny2 · 11/02/2004 09:22

Jellycat, I am 4 DPO, we are almsot synchronised! Got to go now. See you all later. Good luck everyone.

Azure · 11/02/2004 09:27

Futurity - how can you possibly wait until Saturday??? The suspense is killing me Fisil, best of luck for today. Nerd fact of the morning: I have now put everyone TTC into a spreadsheet to keep a better track of who's due when. I really must get down to some work now.

BigBird · 11/02/2004 09:34

fingers crossed futurity and fisil.

Harman, def have your few drinks and relax (sorry - prob too late now!). After so long ttcing you realise you can't put your life on hold "just in case...".

BigBird · 11/02/2004 09:35

LOL @ Azure ! Can we place bets ??

hana · 11/02/2004 09:35

can't keep up here if I haven't checked for a few days! Good luck to everyone testing in the next few days.
We're busy bding the days away - and then have the 2ww. I'm away for that 2 weeks so it should take my mind off things a little. I see my GP tomorrow to go over all results so am a bit anxious about that. Will be good to know one way or the other.
Hoping for some strong blue lines Fisil..... and everyone else!
hana

Well, doctor said that it is far too early to be able to tell anything. Could be pg, could not be, could be pg and it will soon end in early mc. Nothing I can do about it, she said. She told me not to test again until next Monday as it was pointless. I suggested I rest, she said no point, I should pull myself together and get back to work!

So, being the good little girl that I am ...

I have come straight home and done another test ... definitely positive. Woah!

I now consider myself to be officially pg, and sod the doctor!

fisil · 11/02/2004 09:45

Futurity - I can't believe you are so patient. I am well impressed.

Congratulations Fisil! Well chuffed for you!

I am only so patient as I have two negitive tests in the bin which tell me I can't be pregnant..and AF pains as well..but no AF!

Azure...your spreadsheet made me laugh..although secretly chuffed..never been in a spreadsheet before! :0 (or do I only get in it if I am pregnant?!)

hana · 11/02/2004 10:22

oh fisil thats fabulous news! Do rest and sod the doctor!!
Yipee! Congratulations!!

Azure · 11/02/2004 10:39

Fisil - fantastic news Best of luck for a smooth pregnancy. Unbelievable how unhelpful your GP was, though. Of course now I have to update my spreadsheet.

eyelash · 11/02/2004 11:01

Fisil - fantastic news. I knew you were. Any chance you could get yourself down to a EPU. They can do bloodtests which tell you whether your hormone is rising and that would be reassuring.

CountessDracula · 11/02/2004 11:05

Fisil

What fantastic news, I am so happy for you! Go and put your feet up girl!

Oh well guess who'll be driving on the next SW London meet-up And no sneaky tabs on the balcony either

Quackers · 11/02/2004 12:56

CONGRATULATIONS FISIL!!!!!!!!!
Yes see a different Doctor and tell them you have had bleeding, they should do 2 blood tests 48 hrs apart just to check your hormones are doubling for reassurance!!!! Well done!!!!!!!
Bunny, do you think you should just see your GP about the bleeding, if you have had lots of follicles I presume it would increase the amount of blood but just to put your mind at rest??? You haven't any pains have you???

M2T · 11/02/2004 13:17

WELL DONE FISIL!!! You're quite right.... SOD the Doctor!

CONGRATULATIONS. So...when you due??

SpringChicken · 11/02/2004 15:47

Congratulations Fisil What is your EDD then?

madgirl · 11/02/2004 16:04

fisil that's fabby, it really is. congratulationsxxx

fisil · 11/02/2004 16:18

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks for all your help and support.

I am very pleased to graduate, but very sad to say goodbye (although, of course, I could be back). But Eyelash and I are now skipping off to start a new life together!

I went back to work, had one successful lesson, but got instantly wound up by my Y11 right at the start of the next lesson, so ran out crying. Went to see boss (who was with the head) and the head just said "sod the doctor, go home now." So I've been curled up in bed all p.m.

Before coming home I rang a friend who works in a local EPU and she has booked me in for a before hours scan tomorrow morning. I said, but surely they can't see anything? She said no, but they can see if everything is as it should be. So feel much better about that.

To all ttcers

BigBird · 11/02/2004 16:53

great news fisil. Doc doesn't sound too helpful. Hope tomorrow morning goes ok.
