Oh, I see, Sonic; your GP will allow further investigations in August - a year after your miscarriage?

I took my charts along when I went for my first fertility clinic appointment. The consultant looked at them as though I had offered him a tray of dog shit.

Itsalwaysraining · 10/03/2013 18:41

Boodle, thanks for the nickname-change tip - you were right!

Itsalwaysraining · 10/03/2013 18:42

Merkin, thanks for the photo of Cara's eyebrows she's a fucking upper class munter

Penny31 · 10/03/2013 18:47

No probs raining I completely understand and I haven't been made to feel unwelcome, I'm not that easily put off :)

I can imagine how awful it must be if you do see people come and go. Heck, I get jealous of BFPs already! (Of course I am pleased for the people at the same time, but its natural to feel I wish it was me!) I'm just far too impatient and have a lot to learn from everyone.

I'm sorry to hear about your MMC and your struggle since and I hope you get a round of IVF soon.

Hoping my newbie naivety, positivity, and optimism rubs off on you :)

Sonics · 10/03/2013 18:53

Yeah raining that's right. She said that even though we've been trying for 2 years, the "clock restarts" from when I had my miscarriage so they won't do any more tests for a year. I do wonder if the doc would do the same thing and make me feel really stupid for charting! She's already told me we shouldn't be trying to time sex around ovulation.

barkingtreefrog · 10/03/2013 18:57

Ok, I give up. I can't see anyone's charts on any of the links posted, every single link I click gives me my own latest chart, although I got a 0.5 second preview of Sonic's before it flashed away and loaded up my chart again!!

Penny don't take it personally, I've only been here two or three weeks but I get the same Envy and Sad when someone jumps on the thread announcing they're younger and haven't been trying long all selfishly relative to my own point of reference. I immediately panic that they are going to automatically upduff and move on, flitting off again and leaving me with my 15 cycles and counting which is still only a short time compared to some others on here eating Envy Envy dust.

When we started ttc I didn't assume it would happen immediately, but I did hope I would be within the 80% of couples conceive within a year sigh. I joined this thread because I'd tried another one but thoughtless people on there got upduffed!! Quickly!! The cheek of it!! So I found this one as it was for others over 30, so I didn't need to be bothered by all the twenty somethings Envy I would have been one of them if I'd met the right person earlier skipping in, getting upduffed and skipping out again, and, with the exception of the recent instadiffer, people seemed to be here because it was taking a little longer than statistics had perhaps suggested.

If life was fair snort people would graduate from this thread in the order that they joined!!

Sorry ladies been out for lunch & entertaining parentals all day. Not too traumatised by Mother's Day until mommy dearest made some comment about how nice it had been to be surrounded by children at New Year when me & my brother were both visiting with our step children! She has no idea we've been trying to be fair. I just glugged another wine Smile
Commiserations Sidney on AFs ironic arrival. I was convinced last wk when AF was late that I'd be sharing my good news with my mum this weekend. How wrong I was...
