Me first this time. Smile

It may only be May 4th, but I'm out for this month (although technically AF due 30th May - I just like starting new threads).

Hi just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I have been away for a few days and there seem to be lods of new ladies.
Welcome to you all and congratulations to mummy2jake
Trace glad you had a good holiday, but it sounds like you had some difficult discussions over there.
Wannabe I hope you get your tests sorted out quickly

pinkranger · 30/05/2006 18:44

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to mummy2jake and fingers crossed for everyone one else.
I am on CD23 and trying not to think about it, last month i must of had evey PG sign there is and nothing! - Trying not to get to stressed out about it this month..

Good luck - hpoing for BFPs x x x Smile

Hopecat · 30/05/2006 19:03

Good luck pinkranger. I had exactly the same experience last month. Sometimes I think it'd be better to be ignorant of the 'signs'.

Like the name by the way. Very Old Compton Street...

Hello all! I think I'm about CD 21 of 28. Not sure what's going on with my cycle as although it's regular (2 AFs since having DS who is almost 10 months) I seem to have fertile CM a lot and had a high soft open CP until today. Not sure if I'm even ov. But will no doubt start playing around with tests early next week! Grin I've also ordered one of those ferny scope things just cos I want to play about with it!

Current 'symptoms' (all imaginary I'm sure), sore nipples (DS is still bf though and is teething), crampy tummy (that curry last night???), loads of saliva possibly??? Veiny boobs and mad dreams were my first signs with DS. I've got both of those but I'm sure I have them pretty often anyway!

TuttiFrutti · 30/05/2006 19:29

I lay awake last night so convinced I could "feel" I was pregnant that I nearly woke dh to tell him. I then had a dream that I was pregnant with twins, and it was so real I woke up thinking "how am I going to break the news to dh that it's twins" before realising it was only a dream.

Having said that, I had all the signs of pregnancy last month (in my head, anyway!) and it all came to nothing. So I mustn't get my hopes up. Will see if I have the same funny feeling tonight when I lie in bed...

pinkranger · 30/05/2006 20:05

Thanks hopecat Smile
Must agree that i wish i didnt know the signs apart from missing AF, would make these 2 weeks so much easier!!

flowertot · 30/05/2006 22:08

Another qucik question - trying to gather all my facts so I am well prepared...how many days are you actually fertile a month? Just reading the blurb with the ovulaiton sticks and it says the day of your LH surge and the day after. Seems a very small period of time. Is this really right?

Hopecat · 30/05/2006 22:21

It is basically right, although many women have more than one LH surge a month so it's not a totally reliable way of working out your OV time.

Also, sperm often live for up to 3 days in the fallopian tubes, and in very special circumstances for up to 5 days, so having sex in the 6 day period leading up to OV is what will - statistically speaking - maximise your chances of conceiving.

Hi guys, I thought I'd drop in and say hello. It seems to have taken forever to come round but I should be on the way to ov at the end of the week so I've bought myself a thermometer and some extra opks!

It is driving me crazy at the moment that every where I look there's another pregnant woman or a young girl with a baby (no judgements here, just jealousy).

My MIL works in a clinic for teenage girls who just seem to fall pg at the drop of a hat (and probably some other items of clothing!) and yet here I (we) am doing everything in my power and nothing, zero, zap.

I know this is very grrr and there are soooo many of you out there who've been going through this for so long but the injustice of it all is so awful. Ugh. Roll on next week!

Sorry if I sound depressing but I'm driving myself nuts!

xxxx

Just saying Hi to some familiar names and to some not so familiar, Trace, Wannabe ( that's great DH is still willing to try) and wishing all BFP's for June. HPCT, congrats let's hope it's the real thing, (just a few more days to wait) Congrats Mummy2jake!, and hello Peachy, Coggy, PCM et al. I'm back on some TTc thread or another. I'll start a July thread ( if one hasn't been started already),as a positive June is a tad too ambitious for me ( however no harm in trying , eh?). Let's see the new month in anyway with some more BFP's good luck to all .·´ ¸.·´¨)

K1K2,so sorry ! i didnt know, how are you??? glad you ttc again we just take every thing for grantedb that things was ok. after your message i just checked, ive been away

Hopecat · 31/05/2006 09:23

Hi K1K2 - how are you? Thanks for your good wishes.

No sign of AF yet. Have decided to do a test every morning until she rears her ugly head.

So did another one today and same thing. Negative on digital display and oh-so-faint line on inside bit. Am going to my local chemist tday to stock up on (cheaper) PG tests and Always Ultra - just to cover all bases.

Feel sick again this morning, but am still expecting those cramps to start appearing any second.

How's everyone else?

BTW, mummy2jake, if you haven't worked out your due-date yet you can do it \link{http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/duedate/\here} x

lol yes it is,

babydriver · 31/05/2006 09:37

OK, so I know it's not June yet and I promised I wasn't going to test until then if af didn't come but I waited and waited and couldn't wait any longer and ... BFP!!!!!

Can't believe it. I was utterly convinced that this wasn't the month as we hadn't BD'd around my peak time (as we had been doing for the last endless months). So my plans for a boozing and soft cheese blow out week when we arrive in France are out the window but who cares!

Congrats too to mummy2jake, and fingers crossed for everyone else. Hopecat, for what it's worth, when I tested when I was pg with DS, the first test I did was negative and then I waited a few more days and got the BFP so there's hope yet.

Hopecat · 31/05/2006 09:41
