Put on your vest/shades and grab your weapons, it's Action Hero Time.

The BESH are experts in all matters action, but specialise in taking out the local droids and sometimes Druids Wink

Cover me, I'm going in!

Last night we had little cubed potatoes roasted with rosemary and cloves of garlic. The number of garlic cloves very nearly outnumbered the number of potato cubes. God it was nice. And proves we are not vampires, which is always reassuring.

Northey · 17/02/2013 16:00

Mmmm, not that I am totally food obsessed (ok, I am. Food and baybees), but I too have now made a delicious-looking flour-free chocolate cake. Nigella's chocolate and chestnut thing. It is currently in the oven and the bowl scrapings were really very nice indeed.

What's this? Is my claim to Clarkson being disputed now? I think you'll find I had first dibs... AND everyone was appalled, so you can't go back on it now!

Droid is waning, astonishingly - it's day eight and already just spotting! Perhaps this droid will be the first single-figure one in months?!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 17/02/2013 17:06

The Penguins are in BBC1 right now Grin

Dulwich Village? Or East Dulwich? If the latter, I think I know the very butchers.

RaspberryTipple · 17/02/2013 18:13

Hello again, sex drought came to a rather abrupt and loud Blush end this morning. Feeling much more loved now :) He's definitely in need of non baby making conversation/sex so a couple of weeks 'off' has probably helped. Had a nice walk this morning and just chatted like we were normal again, think this might be the way to :) feeling a bit better now, apart from a stupid sinus headache :(

EuroShagmore · 17/02/2013 18:13

I'm just catching up with the penguins on iplayer.

Bugs hurrah for time off!

draf I think you will find that I staked my claim first.

Rie Lordship Lane. I can't believe it has taken us so long to find it! I thought all the butchers round this way were halal places that always look a bit rough. Parking round there is a bitch though. This has nothing to do with the fact that I can't reverse park my whale of a car The roast beef was flipping lovely. And then there was the home made chocolate cake.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 18:33

That's the one - Lordship Lane. I bought some chicken breasts with which to make Thai there in November.

There are some lovely shops on LL.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 18:33

PS it was a fucking good Thai.

maamalady · 17/02/2013 18:38

Did you really, Euro? Then why did everyone mock my BESHtionnaire? :( (don't worry, s'ok, I'm not that delicate)

I'm not sure I can think of any more embarassing crushes, though. All my others are entirely reasonable...

captainmoll · 17/02/2013 18:43

potentially massive anonymity fail ahoy

I found out recently that one my biggest shameful crushes ever is about to start working in (one of my) places of work!! Soooooo excited. Theatre jobs do have their perks..

EuroShagmore · 17/02/2013 18:44

I can't remember what I said on my BESHtionnaire tbh, but I have long had a soft spot for Clarkson. In a "fun uncle/mate's cool dad" kind of way rather than "want to get my leg over" way though. You can have him for sechsy time.

It seems to be quite well-known (and very popular) rie. We are complete foodies and have been to the fishmonger opposite there before so how we missed it for so long I have no idea. Waitrose meat used to be pretty good but I think it has gone downhill over the last year or so, so it's good to have that relatively nearby.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 18:44

I have always had a massive crush on Brian May. I believe that could be regarded as embarrassing.

maamalady · 17/02/2013 18:52

Brian May is so cool it almost hurts to look at him.

Thanks for sharing, Euro Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 18:54

For an astronomer called Brian with Louis XIV hair, he isn't half cool.

maamalady · 17/02/2013 18:57

Hah, exactly! I would totally have done Freddie Mercury too, despite the weird teeth and 'tache. Voices are such a mega turn on.

EuroShagmore · 17/02/2013 19:06

You really are a wrong'un draf Wink

maamalady · 17/02/2013 19:33

I think it's the years of fanfic. I used to have an idea of what was morally acceptable to talk about in polite company, but these days I really don't...

C'mon, though, you wouldn't really say no to someone with the amount of charisma that Freddie had?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 19:35

You are far from alone. A lot of people on the Freddie thread the other night said the same. My heart belongs to Brian though.

Do you think anyone ever felt the same about John Deacon? Apart from his wife?

maamalady · 17/02/2013 19:41

Poor old John. Everyone always forgets him.

Roger Taylor was disturbingly attractive dressed up as a schoolgirl, too... Hmm

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/02/2013 19:43

Roger Taylor is a total dude.

I think John was voluntarily the forgettable one. He's not been seen since the Freddie tribute concert in 1992.

EuroShagmore · 17/02/2013 20:13

I'm afraid I can't get past the teeth with Freddie...

navis176 · 17/02/2013 21:53

And I can't get past the tache

I knew there was someone on tv who I always think has a certain something about him and it came back to me today - yes, my inappropriate crush candidate is Phil Spencer - it's all about the property porn

You're all putting me to shame today with proper cooking - I'm with bugs feeling slightly ill and slightly hungover so eating easy dinner I can just bung in oven. And choc of course.

maamalady · 17/02/2013 22:05

Oh yeah, I absolutely see your point re Phil. There's just something about him. Although it is possible that I perv over almost everyone Hmm

I haven't eaten real food at all today - crappy service station nachos for lunch, and cake for tea...
