Put on your vest/shades and grab your weapons, it's Action Hero Time.

The BESH are experts in all matters action, but specialise in taking out the local droids and sometimes Druids Wink

Cover me, I'm going in!

That's great, Norf. (Particularly the bit about the Indian extravaganza!)

Horsies scare me a bit. I have ridden on holidays and things but not for years.

Northey · 15/02/2013 17:17

Yes, except I'm cooking with okra for the first time (I don't care for it but AMNH does) and have just read a ton of recipes saying I shouldn't have added it till the end or it will go slimy. Grrr.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 15/02/2013 17:33

Nope, I've never owned a horse Sad In fact I haven't ridden for 3 years.

Horses are big

maamalady · 15/02/2013 17:37

And stupid, rie. They're mostly stupid.

TWinklyLittleStar · 15/02/2013 17:39

My grandad owned horses. I would like one, there are a lot of livery stables very near me as well, but shifts make everything difficult.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 17:40

Talking of animals, this thread is making me cry.

captainmoll · 15/02/2013 18:27

Oooh ponies! I love ponies! I used to think I could keep one in the shed until very recently when I was very small. I haven't ridden for years but I do still get excited about horses. Hey, maybe a Black Beauty /teen horse-based fiction thread next?

Euro - a wordsmith, eh? I also indulge in wordmongery.. You intrigue me.

Ooh yes. I loved pony books. Even now I get cross at AMNH when he sniggers at the title of Jill Enjoys Her Ponies. But how will we integrate the penguins?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 19:25

GOT IT! Well it's obvious innit.

The next one will be....a Scott of the Antarctic thread. There are penguins in the Antarctic. Scott's mission was based around ponies which he refused to eat thereby condemning the whole expedition to a long, slow, cold and lonely death but that's not important right now

How about it? A polar exploration theme. And by the looks of the expedition photos, Scott was a bit of a hottie. However I'm more of a Shackleton girl myself. Shackleton could be said to be the BESH mascot - never give up in the face of extreme adversity and all that.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 19:38

I cannot have this much buzzwam pain for the rest of this cycle. There are about 8 days to go yet FFS. I occasionally get cycles like these. The soreness is something else.

Casserole · 15/02/2013 20:07

Now THAT is a good idea for a thread.
(not that it's anything to do with me)

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 15/02/2013 20:30

I vote for Rie's Polar Exhibition fred Grin

Can't believe how fast this fred is going, it's less than 2 weeks old Shock

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 20:32

Back in the day we filled a thread in a week and a half. But there were a lot more BESH then. With a lot more time on their hands ;)

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 20:33

Wink even

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 15/02/2013 20:34

Exhibition?? I mean Expedition of course Blush

TWinklyLittleStar · 15/02/2013 20:36

Brrr, bit cold in the Antartic. I am shattered, finished work almost 5 hours late, back in for 7am - dunno how I would actually manage a baybee.

Vair well done on the 7 norf, end-of-movie medals for that! But okra? Really??

Well done MrA on the new job.

driz - very interesting... Gloves in cupboard an be shared between you and frank later

buggers ((hugs))

EuroShagmore · 15/02/2013 20:45

I like the fred proposal Rie.

I used to get the excruciating buzzwam pain. Speedbumps would literally bring tears to my eyes. EPO and B vits helped. (When you are ttc, don't take EPO after ov though.)

PS - moll it's really not interesting at all - I'm a lawyer, so spend my day carefully drafting documents using very precise language and (hopefully) correct grammar, so we don't end up with any Eats Shoots and Leaves-type debacles. And then I come on here and type like a chimp.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 20:48

I do all that

Mind you I didn't take any EPO this month because I'd run out and hadn't been arse to get any more, which is maybe why it's bad again. The wretched cat was lying on my chest this morning, and did a flying leap off it when MrA got up to feed her. Little cow.

Arf at "type like a chimp".

TWinklyLittleStar · 15/02/2013 20:54

Ouch rie The cat I used to live with was a bigger fan of stepping on bladders, but during droid time he lay nicely on my tummy, like a furry feline hot water bottle. I get bad buzzwams pre-droid, I have to sleep in a sports bra. No tips but sympathy.

EuroShagmore · 15/02/2013 21:02

See, see - EPO does make a difference (I was very sceptical to begin with, but a now complete convert).

I wanna furry hot water bottle. :(

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 15/02/2013 22:01

Starflower oil is good to, but so expensive.

RaspberryTipple · 15/02/2013 22:59

Evening ladies,
Thought I would drop (kick) by and dish out some kidney punches, ala Arnie style......
I'm really not much good at keeping up with fred feems!

Congratulations to the differs, fabulous news.

Bugs I'm so sorry to hear your news though, massive hugs, this TTC game really is a shitbitch.

Norf I am impressed with your follies, they have done well!

Hello everyone else :) I miss everyone but I just can't emotionally commit at the moment, I know that sounds gay but it's just the very act of logging on to Mumsnet, I don't just check this thread, I end up on the infertility thread, then the pregnancy, then adoption, then parenting threads. Just torturing myself really. MATV and I had 'the big talk' too after a row about sex, he wants to take a break for a while seeing as we are waiting for IVF. I was thinking a break more as in we'd be DTD but not paying attention to fertile times, he meant a break as in he just didn't want sex for a while. So we are currently sexless. Joy :/ so, I have mainly been concentrating on weights, diet and pole dancing, oh and course work! Should probably do more coursework really. We feel really happy together as a couple, just a couple that doesn't have sex which feels really odd. I don't want that to be a lasting thing, its important to me TTC or not, I NEED sex (I'm currently fertile so horny as hell - can you tell).

Anyway, hello and bye bye again xxx

Northey · 15/02/2013 23:04

Ooh hello, rasper! You have been missed. When are you starting ivf?
