Put on your vest/shades and grab your weapons, it's Action Hero Time.

The BESH are experts in all matters action, but specialise in taking out the local droids and sometimes Druids Wink

Cover me, I'm going in!

Hurrah about starting IUI and the Allergy Man - he's my new action hero. Keeping stuff crossed. Sorry about the fb-moment, but am sure it is okay.

Hair strokes for moll, that sounds pretty awful. People should respect some boundaries with their babes. I know the piercing feeling well, like faif we had nephews staying, it was wonderful, but seeing SB reading to them did hurt quite a bit.

On other news I got pissed last night and are feeling really rough!

Northey · 09/02/2013 10:21

You old lush, lemon.

Good idea to step away from the tests, bugs. Though don't beat yourself up if you crack and test again tomorrow. If you're diffed you're diffed. If you're not you're not. The important thing now is to do what you need to do to keep your head in a good, calm place.

JethroTull · 09/02/2013 10:48

Wise words Norf.

I am good thanks Bugs, had a good nights sleep which always puts me in a good mood plus SSG got up & took the dog out.

maamalady · 09/02/2013 11:11

Norf is like a wise old oracle.

(recognise the film?)

Temp today has dropped back to plateau with temps from a couple of days ago, so looks like yesterday was just a blip. I'm feeling easily tearful and a bit achey so droid is probably not far away.

Of course, this means that I will be at the height of embittered hormonal weakness when we hear about my friend's newborn - its been long enough since her induction date that I'm starting to get worried about hearing no news. Would it be bad form and massively pestery to text her? There's so many posts in AIBU about annoying friends asking if people have given birth and I don't want to be tht person...

Oh, and we did watch an action film yesterday - it turns out that, despite the dreadful title, Looper is a really good film. I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 09/02/2013 11:20

Ready to run in and kick that droid, if it makes an appearance draf.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/02/2013 11:44

I also think SSG & I are generally 'lucky' though

At the risk of sounding irritatingly negative, I am one of those UNlucky people. Things generally don't work out. And there's no way I can have three rounds of IVF. We get one on the NHS so I'll have to just hope and do all I can. I have the IUI first however. The nurse said that's their chance to see how best you respond to different levels of drugs. Or something

Anyway I'll stop now.

Sorry to hear about the hangover :(

And Moll, how are you feeling today. Sorry if I sounded flippant when you first said about the holding the baby yesterday Blush. It was insensitive.

AIBU to shoot MrA for doing these irritating shouty coughs?

Northey · 09/02/2013 11:57

No, shoot him. May as well, while we've got the action hero guns and everything. And then I can shoot AMNH for his irritating loud yawning.

captainmoll · 09/02/2013 14:10

Thanks for the wisdom, sympathy and hair strokes luffly BESH. I feel better today but did have to take out Facebook with a big fat nuke this morning as it was an endless stream of happy baby photos. Gah.

Rie not insensitive at all - I was glad that someone shared my bathos.

Bugs still fx for you, I've got my crosshairs trained on all droids and bfns.

BE has THE most annoying cough - I live in fear of him catching one as it goes on all night and ends up with neither of us getting any sleep and him coughing til he makes himself sick. Like a child. I would def vote for action hero smack down response. Swat teams, the lot.

maamalady · 09/02/2013 14:49

I am a bit more cheerful now, we just went for a walk to our nearest town for a cup of coffee - three miles each way, lots of time for chitchat and enjoying each other's company. I knew I liked HOTB for a reason :)

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/02/2013 14:55

Ah, that's nice! We get caught up so much in Life that we often forget why we fell for them in the first place :). Loads of people say to me "Oh he's gorgeous!" and I think yeah, whatever and then we go out and I stop and really look at him and think "Yes he is!". even though he does nothing round the house

maamalady · 09/02/2013 15:03

Yes, it is easy to forget! HOTB and I have been together since we were seventeen (he was way more interesting than A-level Chemistry), so I'm impressed that he is not only still a lovely person at thirty, but that we still fit together so well :)

EuroShagmore · 09/02/2013 15:04

I haven't tested again, bugs. Yesterday's showed the merest whisper of a line if you really squinted, so I think I can be sure it'll all be gone by Sunday or Monday when I will test for real before my blood test. I'm less excited about testing early now all my symptoms have gone, but I will still do it to help prepare myself.

We've spent the day at a gunshow, so if any droid's need shooting I can recommend the best kit (was actually veh dull).

I'm working too driz. We took the train so I could work on the journey and hopefully get tomorrow off.

maamalady · 09/02/2013 17:24

Friend has had a baybee boy, HOTB is on the phone to the new father, and I'm having an adrenaline rush - shaky hands, fast heartbeat etc. The fight or flight reflex is NOT the right reaction to happy news from close friends, and I hate myself for it. For fucks sake.

DolomitesDonkey · 09/02/2013 17:46

euro Grinjust accept the line!

aries you are not unlucky, you are clever and funny and beautiful and live in paradise with an amazing life. Your husband probably shouldn't be allowed to operate machinery granted, but he is awfy decorative.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/02/2013 17:54

He's veh clever at machinery actually. But thanks! Grin

Dearest draf absolutely do not hate yourself for it. It's a physical reaction - you don't choose it. I had exactly the sane when SIL announced her second. Take a moment, have some chocolate and a glass of wine (((((hugs))))))

EuroShagmore · 09/02/2013 18:27

Nah, Donkey. The line is not a cause for grinning - I wish it was! That was the HCG from the trigger shot getting fainter. I've had two pos tests this week, when I didn't want them, because I wanted the Ovitrille to be gone from my system so I could test for real!

Draf have a stroke of the cod of comfort, lovely.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/02/2013 18:41

Step away from the stix, dear Euro. It's too soon xxx

EuroShagmore · 09/02/2013 19:11

I'm nowhere near the bloody sticks! I tested last weekto make sure the Ovitrille was gone. Will test again at 12 dpo so I am not on my own when I get the result as KFZK is away for the OTD! Grrr.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/02/2013 19:12

Um. Ok. Whatever

Northey · 09/02/2013 19:16

I had the adrenaline insanity too, when I thought my sister was diffed. I was physically shaking and overcome with visions of pushing her down the stairs. Horrid. (I mean it is horrid for us. Not that we are horrid. Obviously.)

Northey · 09/02/2013 19:18
DolomitesDonkey · 09/02/2013 19:36

Sorry euro, I thought you were gazing at Pyramids.

Aries Didn't Mr. A fill your car with petrol/diesel and break the company vehicle somehow?

EuroShagmore · 09/02/2013 19:37

Sorry Rie. Few things rile me like being told to do something I am already doing/ being told not to do something I am not doing, but I didn't mean to snap. I'm upset because last week when I had loads of symptoms I was actually quite excited about testing for the first time in about ever. Now I am just dreading it and need KFZK next to me. I can't face getting the call at work, when he is at the other end of the country.

Casserole · 09/02/2013 19:48

dollop their company vehicle is a BOAT. Whichever way you play this they're gonna win ;)

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a spring clusterdiff. I keep vague tabs on you all from afar but don't poke in too often as it's annoying I'm sure. But everything is crossed x
