Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

Another quickie in between meetings, work and handovers - thank goodness I'm about to have two weeks off!

keep how on earth did I miss your comment about the video footage!? I think I must have auto-bleached it out of my mind the second I read it. Apparently the UK fodder isn't much more appealing. MrG ended up taking his mobile in with him with some home footage Blush

maybe have you had your CF test results back yet? I'm also doing the 'can't be pg so what symptoms have I got' game. So far, nausea, eating like a horse, v sore norks, copious CM and mid-2ww womble cramps. Oh how we delude ourselves.

cartoon I had pancakes last night, while MrG sat and watched me in disgust. He had to have a tooth out yesterday evening, just before teatime, so wasn't up to eating anything at all. I just have spread on mine, with a couple of lemon and sugar ones for 'pudding'.

Well, MrG and I (at MrG's suggestion, amazingly) are giving up alcohol for Lent. Bear in mind we are still a few hours away from our first evening of Lent, and Valentine's Day is tomorrow (complete with lovely steak meal) the chances of us seeing it through for all 40 days is pretty slim.

Right, off to another meeting. How is everyone else's day going?

BartletForTeamGB · 13/02/2013 13:45

geek, I don't do Lent but my mother does and she says that Sundays don't count(!) and I've found proof (in the form of Wikipedia!):

However, different Christian denominations calculate the "forty days" of Lent differently. In most Western traditions the Sundays are not counted as part of Lent; thus the period from Ash Wednesday until Easter consists of 40 days when the Sundays are excluded. However in the Roman Catholic Church Lent is now taken to end on Holy Thursday rather than Easter Eve, and hence lasts 38 days excluding Sundays, or 44 days in total.

NewYearNewBoo · 13/02/2013 15:23

Popping back to see if Tricks has updated yet??

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/02/2013 15:35

We do indeed Geek Wink

Good news everyone. CF results have all come back negative, no mutations found. Hurrah!

Sparks I am giving up bad luck for lent. Oh, and having pancakes today to celebrate Grin

cartoontrickster · 13/02/2013 15:44

just quickly 'blob' is perfect! can have a cuter nick name now! be back in a bit Grin

BartletForTeamGB · 13/02/2013 15:58

Great news, maybe. Roll on the next stage and that long-awaited BFP!

Excellent news from you too, cartoon.

All lovely news! Smile

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2013 16:26

keep I am Shock at the porn in the masterbatorium! OH said he wasn?t prepared to touch the mags in our NHS cubicle. Think he just closed his eyes and thought of, ummmmm, me England oh alright probably cars lol We had a fab dirty weekend thanks, spent it in one of the rudest cities in Europe Wink at least he has something recent to think of next time haha!

geek I speed read your post and saw auto bleach as anal bleach, had to go back and re-read Blush guess who spent too much time drinking in a red light district this weekend

I guess in a roundabout kind of way I am giving up alcohol for Lent but not cos it?s Lent I?m afraid, I?m starting an intensive detox on Friday which lasts up until the day that IVF starts so I won't have a drink after tomoz until the end of March [hopefully not until Christmas fx], OOOOOOH just realised I?ve got a great excuse why I'm not drinking for the next few weeks!

maybe good news re CF results Wink. I love symptom spotting, it?s a bit of a hobby Grin, I had a few words to say to a poster on AIBU last week who was being very twattish about symptom spotting, although I think someone took it further and reported her which was a bit of an over-reaction - was v amused at MNHQ who deleted the thread by sprinkling it with babydust!

Incidentally I gagged a bit on Sunday [2DPO] when the waiter walked past our table with a plate of fish someone else ordered, had to hold my nose until the smell had passed? I think I rest my case? absolutely nothing to do with the drinking my way round a red light district for 2 days before as mentioned previously

Fab news re positive scans ladies xx

LoveLaughingLots · 13/02/2013 17:02

Hello Girls

Can I join? Been really positive this cycle, visualising everything I want, I'm in my 2ww, looking forward to that BFP!!

I'm 28, DP is 28, TTC#1, had Merina IUD removed end of September. Started using OPKs this Cycle.

I can just FEEL that this time around it's the successful one! Sending positivity to everyone else on the February bus!

LLLx

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 18:05

maybe that's brilliant news! The power of brooking knows no bounds :) Is that the last hurdle before IVF now then? Good luck!

bartlet MrG and I don't do lent as a religious thing, just as an exercise in self-discipline so breaking the resolution one day a week kind of feels like cheating. I'm not so sure how well I'll fare though - MrG has just cracked open a murphy's on the grounds of 'his blood sugar is low and he needs to get it up' Hmm

well done cartoon, you are now a proper grad.

scarlett how on earth can you not like pancakes? They are the food of the gods! Oh well, all the more for us to share around Grin I too saw that post, but couldn't face opening it on the basis of the title alone. I love MNHQ's sense of humour though and wish I'd seen the deletion message.

solars sorry, I couldn't bring myself to click that link. I find things like that almost painful - and the idea of a child without enamel - wtf?! No, I don't want to know.

laughing hello and welcome Smile Now you're here your BFP is guaranteed though the majority of us have pretty much given up on the whole monthly bus thing, some of us are just aiming for a BFP this decade grumble grumble

Umm folks... anyone fancy a shopping spree??? Clicky Oh, and MrG has won a tenner on the lottery - just need to win my BFP to get the full set of three!

CruCru · 13/02/2013 18:22

Welcome laughing!

You're all so impressive, the way you list everyone and what they are up to. No more to report here, I have a scan next week and that's about it.

GreenOlives · 13/02/2013 18:25

Brilliant news face! Grin Grin Grin

NewYearNewBoo · 13/02/2013 18:28

Aah Tricks that is brilliant! We will find a name for baby :)

NewYearNewBoo · 13/02/2013 18:32

Sorry pressed post too soon Blush

Geek get used to being alcohol free, you will be doing a full 9 months of it soon. Are you feeling ready for next week?

Maybe that is a brilliant result, when do you go back to the clinic? What is next?

Welcome Laughing you will love it here.

Cooee everyone else.

SweetieTime · 13/02/2013 18:55

Evening all, I am sorry for my recent absence. I have been keeping up with all your news and waiting for news of the triple whammy ladies too.

Geek brave move going alcohol free especially in run up to valentine

Maybe I am so pleased your test results have come back negative, at least that is a weight lifted. Onward to your ironic pre-ICSI BFP

Tricks great news on TiniTrix

Cru those scans are coming thick and fast now for all those with agreeable pee sticks

Sparks how are you these days?

Scarlett your dirty weekend away sounds lovely and who doesn't love a game of symptom spotting

keep I remember your mention of the porn entertainment for MrK JIAJ. MrS was advised to download something onto his phone, I am not sure if he did or not.

boo how are you? I saw your news, you poor love. It is another worry for you but Bartlett to the rescue with her links for you

I am thinking BabyBart will be arriving tomorrow just like a real life little cupid

We never had pancakes either although I had bought a Aunt Bessies mix Blush I went for my blood results, if you recall I had been told I had to see the Dr due to clotting abnormalities identified. So I have waited a week and the Dr had no info ggrrrrrr so she is going to ring the place which did the analysis for more details before giving me a call. So I am waiting again and then depending what is wrong I will have to speak to my clinic. I haven't bothered letting them know until I know more as it may be nothing wishful thinking

Hope everyone else I have missed is ok too?

ScarlettInSpace · 13/02/2013 19:15

geek have pm'd you Wink

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 19:28

Hahahhaha oh scarlett that is brilliant thank you!!!

Soph80 · 13/02/2013 19:44

Geek - my fertility doc said to just limit myself to 7 units per week (which doesn't go very far). Might mean you go slightly less mental than you would if you cut it out all together x

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 20:06

Thanks soph but I'd find it harder to have just a little than to have none at all - aside from which as an exercise in self denial having any feels like I've failed Wink

Right, off to see what to spend my winnings on since I've no takers on the shopping spree Grin

NewYearNewBoo · 13/02/2013 20:14

did someone mention shopping?? Grin

Soph80 · 13/02/2013 20:15

Yeh I know what you mean. Although when I don't drink anything all I get is "is someone pregnant????", which is a lovely reminder that "no, I'm not f*ing pregnant" lol.

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 20:15

Sorry sweetie I'm not sure how I managed to miss your post. I'm so sorry you're still waiting for those results. The waiting really is the worst part. It soemtimes feels like we spend our whole lives waiting - waiting to o, waiting for AF, waiting for appointments, results, scans - why can't things just happen! PS - thank you! I had no idea that that was bartlet as the names doc vanished when sparks left Blush sorry bartlet

boo hugs for your news, have just seen on fb too. I know it's probably nothing like MrG's (no idea how it affects pg ladies), but if you want to chat you know where I am x

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 20:17

Haha soph you're assuming I have a social life!!! Grin

NewYearNewBoo · 13/02/2013 20:19

Thanks Geek I think I will do now the news is setting in.

Now, go spend your winnings on something luxurious for after your surgery I'm thinking Barbara Cartland during recovery Grin

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 20:21

dammit must stop x.posting!

boo I won something !!!

ControlGeek · 13/02/2013 20:22

Sorry, x-post... again...
