Oh, meant to share this with 2cats as a demonstration of what dozing can do to your temperatures! I take my temperature at 6.15am each morning but yesterday I hit snooze and dozed for an hour before I took my temperature...look at the spike!

Can't beat shits and giggles boodle!

Did anyone see the programme that was on BBC2 a couple of weeks ago about the IVF clinic in Liverpool? I recorded it and only got round to watching it this morning. It amazed me (and made me cry of course!)

The bit that most hit home was when they were showing through a magnifying glass the sperm trying to get through to the egg. They had loads of cells to battle their way through before they even got to the egg, and the sperm were tiny compared to the egg. Just shows how hard it is, even if the sperm and the egg do manage to find each other. Also there was a couple who had 5 embryos and only 1 of them developed well enough to be viable. So again that made me think about how even if the egg gets fertilised that it doesn't necessarily mean you'll end up pregnant if the embryo starts to break down not long after fertilisation.

I think I knew all of this already but it just made me realise properly why sometimes it does take a long time to get pregnant!!

We have a doctors appointment in the morning to talk about the next steps. We've already had initial tests done that were all fine, so it's the more invasive ones next :-(

thanks for that boodle I've just started charting and I did wonder how much different it could really make if you snooze for a bit. I can see the answer to that is a big difference!

boodle thanks! Lesson learnt, took all the advice and oral temped this morn as soon as the alarm went off after fumbling around in the dark half asleep not being able to find the on button and putting the wrong end of the thermometer in my mouth On a side note I am still spotting so thinking i may need to talk to the doc - wtf is wrong with my body??!?

I suggest you head on over to mumsnet classics and read the one about the bolognaise. I nearly cried, I was laughing so hard.

Right ladies, should I go for a run tomorrow?
I had my lap and dye a week ago thursday and I haven't been since.

Pip, did they say how long you should wait before starting exercise again? You could always go and just reduce your distance/speed to start off with, just to see how it goes? I'm sure you're very sensible and wouldn't push yourself if it felt uncomfortable!

Bunny, I'm no good at funny stuff so can't help you! Youtube is my 'go to' place for amusement, although I do agree with retro's suggestion of mumsnet classics! There's some brilliant stuff in there!

Some are hilarious, some have had me in floods of tears. Pick your thread wisely! Smile!

Such bad form - I'm always having to post twice because I cock up/forget to say something, and now I'm adding a third post just to point out this total disregard for Internet forum etiquette.

(Flagellates self with a pepperami - it's Sundy night and that's all they had left at Co-Op.)

Aquarius, I loved that tripadvisor thread! I saw it start on AIBU before it moved to classics. I love AIBU but I've never dared post there; it's the scariest place on the whole of mumsnet!

Decided against a run tomorrow. The hospital did say two weeks, and as DH points out, although I look fairly mended on the outside you don't know what's going on on the inside.
