First month ttc, anyone in the same boat and want to get excited with me?

Hi all, this is my first month TTC after waiting to TTC for 14 months so I am very excited ( and a lil scared). I am 26 and this will b r first baby. So if anyone else is in the same situation, come and join me and we can get excited together! (grin)

No testing in this house this morning, holding out til tmrw (when she's due) or Sunday if she hasn't arrived.

setay fingers crossed your bfp arrives this month!! Are you doing the SMEP plan as well as the monitor?

Morning! It's finally Friday! Hope you all have that Friday feeling.

Yeah I will try the smep dP is away for the next week so he should be back intime just for us to get going.

Dunno whether to invest in more preseed. You only get nine application sticks in a pack. After reading the reviews I was kinda convinced I would only need it one month.

Have u tested yet bezza?

No signs from me and I think I was due on yesterday. My maths is dreadful. 28 day cycle last period 3/1? Anyway I think it's just my body playing tricks on me. I have ordered done mail order tests anyway for next month. We need a positive this weekend to keep us all happy!

I was under the same impressions as you setay about the preseed...thought it owuld work first cycle after all the raving reviews i read online! its expensive isnt it for the 9 applicators!

iheart if im right with my maths then 28 days from 3/1 would have been weds? that would have been your 28th day. i have fingers x'd for you that she doesnt show.

BFN for me ladies :( I have also developed a stinking cold overnight so feeling really quite sorry for myself today! Never mind, AF will probably arrive tomorrow and then it will be on to month 4 I go!

I haven't tried pressed. I have used conceive plus. Is that the same kind of thing?

Fingers crossed that someone gets a BFP this month! Xx

aww Bezza hope you are ok. . dont loose all hope yet, she hasnt arrived just yet. what dpo are you today? Really hope you get your BFP v soon.

well fingers crossed she doesnt arrive for you iheart when will your tests arrive? Hopefully you'll have a nice relaxing weekend and have some good news next week! Are you usually regular as clockwork with your cycles?

No big plans either for the weekend, will try and relax by taking the boys (my dogs) to the beach for a big walk and will head out with dh for a few drinks to watch the rugby tomorrow but thats it really. I know I wont truly relax until af arrives (due tmrw) or we get a positive but i can feel af on her way - backache, breakouts and generally feeling rotten. grrrrr!!

Well dp is off snowboarding tonight for the week so of corsw me as my mate are hitting the town! Poor sod is all sad that he's gonna miss me and I'm excited to have some girls nights (I'm heartless sometimes)

hoping don't your dogs bring more beach home with them? My lil boy comes home covered in everything! I do think sometimes that no matter how long it takes me to get a bfp iv always got my little boy. ( who's probably more trouble than any baby)

I am not entirely sure how many dpo I was when I tested but I have a feeling it was at most 14 dpo so still hope.
AF is due today. My bf says I shouldnt poas until afte the weekend if it still hasnt arrived! does he not realise how hard it is to resist the urge??? lol

ncsmummy you're so good at holding off poas!! Fingers crossed for You on Monday! I'm going to take a leaf out of your book & try to hold out until Monday too, my af is also due today.

setay lol yes my boys also bring back half the beach with them but as we have moved to Dublin for a while and the weather is horrendous I would much rather they brought sand back with them than a tonne of mud from the park. Smile like you I would be very lost without them, especially going through this every month!! They are a brilliant distraction!
How was your girls night out? Hope you had a great time! Sounds like a brilliant trip for your dh as well!!
Had a minor breakdown at dh last night, tears, the full works. Very very unlike me & was over nothing...I didn't even know it was coming or why I was crying. Is that normal??! Good job he had a bottle of red wine & good chocolates up his sleeve!

Oh no hoping2beamum it's probably all the pressure (and bloody hormones)! I've tried so hard not to get my hopes up but I've spent the last 14 years believing that you can get pregnant at the drop of a hat and its very hard to get out of that mindset. I don't know about you but we also have friends asking us constantly when we are going to have a baby. It's very tiring!!

Apart from having a horrible cold and cough I'm fine . Just wish I didn't have this tiny flicker of hope because I think it's about to be dashed!

DH and I went from considering trying, to not wanting to try to oops we've run out of condoms. I keep a period chart and it was on my 'fertile' day so then we thought -sod it! And have started trying woohoo!!! Been TTC for 2 days lol!

I spent all of yesterday randomly crying for no reason too and I am not an emotional person - started feeling like I was going crazy!!! bloody hormones!!! lol

I was only 11dpo yesterday so there is still hope hoping. We shall see if AF arrives today. I know how you feel with the mini meltdown. I also had one of those yesterday afternoon. I didn't go to work, called in sick and although I have a stinking cold I am not normally one to call in sick for something like that (I have to be really ill usually) but with the BFN I just thought sod it, I'm not going today!! It doesn't help that I absolutely hate my job and so every month when I get a BFN I feel miserable at the thought that I am no closer to getting out of that place!

I totally know how you feel too Iheart. We got married 6 months ago and it feels like everyone is asking us about babies! We just want to reply "we're working on it" but of course, we don't!

Oh iheart isn't it so hard when you think how many years you spent preventing something that seems so hard to now achieve! I'm so sorry you won't get your tests today, but they will be there ready & waiting for you on Monday morning Grin
last night has been puzzling me somewhat, don't know what came over me...wasn't even just a few tears, it was full blown sobbing over having to go to a family lunch today???!!! Very very odd, I think you are right though, it is the pressure of it all, I was sure af was arriving yesterday -cramps all day & little cm. (TMI coming up) I did check my cervix this morn & usually right before af there is nothing but this morning there was a lot of cm & it was still high & soft, have no idea if that's a good thing but still feel like af is going to show any minute.

ncsmummy I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like a crazy person lol! Do you ever get like that before af? Bloody hormones is right!!!!

Hey everyone!
just trying to catch up on everything iv missed whilst iv been out(I can't keep up lol)
hoping I had that this month, tons of cm I even put a towel on at one point! Iv started drinkig 2 litres of water this month as that makes more cm and more fertile cm should hopefully help he's awimmers( in theory) could that be your reason? Or maybe it's a sign as I war it can be a symptom

I also cried all month this month, I cried that my best mate fell pregnant the first month and she had her scan( I was adimant that life was unfair why wasn't it me) I cried that dp did want a baby coz he wasn't obsessed with my mate believe symptoms. I cried co work was busy haha I'm a mess since this ttc business

On the other hand dp produced an engagment ring before he went on holiday last night and said hed like to get married in the next couple pf years as he's NANs getting old.maybe that'll calm down my ttc obsession haha I doubt it

I want to join:D I've been off my cerazette pill for two weeks, hoping this is my first period and I will be fertile this month, should be valentines day if my calculations are correct! So I will be having regular love making sesh's as soon as my period finishes right up until when my next period is due! beg of March which is when I will be testing, fingers crossed for everyone on here, maybe this is the month for us! x
