No celebrations yet as oh is still away so I'm silently waiting for he's return lol!

I seem to have told everyone we r ttc. I'm quite an emotional person and it makes me feel better to think people no why I have the hump when I say time of the month! Haha silly I no.
Did back fire when i told best mate and she said I don't want any yet, then decided it would be fun for us to ttc together so we could be pregnant together.. It took her one month to conceive and now she seems to scared to even ask me how it's going.

hoping are you in the 2ww when's af due? My minds gone stupid I can't remember anything lol

Hi ladies, Just wanted to join you for some advice. I POAS yesterday as period was due Sunday and I got a faint line. Did it again this morning and got another darker but till faint line!

I have been reading up online and on this thread and know that as line is a line but I'm in shock and not sure weather to believe it!
This would be DC2 and it took 10 months to conceive with Ds I cant believe it has happened on the first cycle!

I keep telling myself to just wait until the end of the week and do another test but its doing my head in not knowing for sure!!

Congrats startoftheroad haha did u ever think ud b happy to see that blood?

Works exceptionally boring today so passing the time by googling diets whilst ttc. Not found a great deal other than eat fruit and vegetables. Doesnt say anywhere that pizza hit will help me loose weight or conceive DAMN.

Whos due to test next then???

Hi all, can I join? I'm 30 and DP is 36. We're ttc our first, he has two boys from a previous relationship.

I only came off my pill last wed and my withdrawal bleed finished today. So as it stands we're very early stages of ttc lol. I'm so excited though and just can't wait for a BFP, but I know it could be a while after being on the pill for almost 16 years (with a couple of breaks) Just have to be patient I guess, but I've always wanted a baby and feel I've been waiting for years already lol. xxx

Mandy thats fabulous news!! congratulations on your bfp & congratulations on your wedding!! it really has all come at once....but they are all amazing things to be celebrating!!

Hi franky welcome!! hope you enjoy your stay & hope its not long until you get your bfp!!

thats great news for you startoftheroad, glad to hear af showed her face & you can get going with the ttc. Fingers crossed for you this month.

setay im back at the beginning again, cd4 at the moment...to be honest im glad the tww is over...i drove myself nuts! haha. this month i am determined not to do that again, loads of relaxing this time round, i had a breakdown when af arrived and i dont want to get in that state again!!
when is the oh home to start celebrating? gosh its all go on this thread isnt it!! Did you find any useful tips on the ttc diet? My best friend was telling me to take vitamin B6...its meant to work wonders for ttc (she was trying for 4 years for her little girl) apart from that she just said cut out caffeine & switch to deccaf and just enjoy dtd. Her most important advice was to relax & enjoy a glass of wine (or 2) if you feel like it... just dont get drunk. oh and also get dh to take folic acid and zinc to help those little swimmers even more!

How are you feeling iheart?

crazycat hope you are doing ok, the tww is painfully long isnt it! when are you due to poas?!?

Report
setayharas · 05/02/2013 19:15

Yeah that's how I felt these last few months, as upset as I was that af turned up it was a relief to relax again! I'm 7 dpo now so will be resuming my manic personality just before u this month.
Oh is home on Saturday so waiting until then!
I didn't find much on actually trying to loose weight, all diets were designed for fertility foods, so Ill just cut down and eat more fruit and veg I think,

I actually bought some b6 today wasn't sure whether to take it as everything I read said it helped a short Leutral phase and mines already 14 days. Might try it anyway see if it helps my irregular cycles.

startoftheroad I work in a bank in a disgusting town in Essex lol so I spend my day with the teenage mums an drunks , can't complain though it pays the mortgage.

I can't believe how many bfps there have been on this thread!
mandy get investing in the non alcoholic wine for your wedding toasts! That would be my biggest give away if I was drink less at a wedding haha

Congratulations mandy

Ok so I have the worst stomach cramps! Is this due to coming off the pill? What other symptoms did people have when they came off the pill?

Report
setayharas · 05/02/2013 22:06

Never been on the pill in afraid,

But I no my mate had to take 3 days off work her first proper af off the pill as she felt so sick, run down and crampy.

But as with everything, it can be a symptom too lol!

ncsmummy · 06/02/2013 05:14

Congratulations Mandy!
Docs visit went ok - he checked my temp, bp etc and they are going to check for a water infection. However he said he thinks I may well be pg but just dont have enough hormones to get a bfp. I have got to wait a week and if no af then I have got to do a hpt and if I still get a neg then he is going to do a blood test to check for pregnancy and also to check theres nothing else wrong. So I am keeping my fingers x - Its not over til its over!!

Does anyone use the 'early' preg tests? How reliable?

mandy you could use the excuse you don't want to get tipsy before the ceremony and then pretend to sip wine all night occasionally chucking some into a nearby but unsuspecting plant...

One of my friends told everyone she gets bad cystitis and didn't want it on her wedding day so wasn't going to drink

Also when I had my wisdom teeth out I was on an antibiotic that I couldn't drink with, and boy can't you drink with it. You need to leave 48hrs after stopping it before you drink - I did 24 and really suffered quite spectacularly on only 2-3glasses of wine.

Hope that helps

Xx

Morning!!

crazycat the 13th will be lucky I'm sure!! (it's not a Friday!!) Grin
I think it depends if the individual is producing enough hcg in their system to get a bfp on the early tests. I posted some figures last week of the percentage of women getting bfp's early. Hope that helps x

setay I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one having manic crazy behaviours during the tww!! Haha. Not sure how I'm going to change things this month but I'm determined to do something!! Are you going to use the preseed this month? I can't decide wether it's worth the money again!!

ncsmummy fingers & toes crossed for you next week, hope you get that bfp. X

Morning all it's absolutely freezing here!

Keeping everything crossed for you mummy

I dunno about the preseed really iv got 2 applicators left so gonna save them 4 when I get the egg on my cbfm. Where I haven't been using the full 4g tho I have quite a lot of the lube left so might see if I can buy just the applicators from somewhere .
I think iv decided this month that if I want a glass of wine I will have one during the 2ww obviously not getting drunk but I'm not gonna keep thinking am I aren't I pregnant. Hopefully that'll keep me calmer I doubt it

Cramping again today in that area so when I see the doc next week I'll be begging for more tests, even if he ultrasound did come bck clear, why do doctors dismiss everything as menstral pains so quickl, u think after 11 years of periods he might believe I know what my cycle is really like.

Thanks startoftheroad although not looking forward to sore boobs lol. How was your first normal AF? Is it wishful thinking I'll be the same as I was on the pill lol, they weren't too bad, however I'm sure my mum put me on the pill cos they were really painful!!!

setayharas I wish it was a symptom, but defo not I can be sure of that, hopefully next month, but again that could be wishful thinking too.
