Anyone else want to join me in getting ready for ivf in 2013? Good egg buddies wanted!!!

Hello,

Dh and I have been trying for over 2 years and had one failed ivf (Icsi) attempt at the Argc last spring. We are going to go again in the new year.

I wondered if anyone else was planning to do the same? And whether anyone fancied joining me in 'princessing' (stolen from style & beauty :) ) for ivf?

I'm not sure what this means in terms of what I'll do, really hoping for some help in researching how to get the best eggs ever, and perhaps how to improve dh's little swimmers....

Anyone up for being a good egg buddy?

Until I get my second beta back with good news I am not going to believe this pregnancy is viable :/

Ugh, having a bit of a wobble. I'm terrified that the beta results tomorrow won't have risen enough. All my symptoms seem to have pretty much gone other than slightly sore boobs.

Delilah I still have no symptoms at all, so I understand the worrying, but I am sure it will be fine!

I agree delilah it does look as if I could test a day early but I think it's better for DP if I wait until Friday.

I'll be spending a lot of tomorrow driving anyway and I will need to concentrate which might be difficult if I'd just tested, whatever the result.

If I'd had any spotting I might have asked the clinic about testing early but I've had nothing except possibly one speck which could have been my imagination.

Have a dreadful cold. Been waking up early every morning and can't get back to sleep. Apparently it's the hormones again but it is exhausting.

fairy I don't have a cold, but am finding myself waking up earlier and earlier - this morning at 4.30 am!!! Feeling a little groggy now...

euro & fairy I wake up also EVERY morning at 4-5, for a wee, and then struggle to get back to sleep, so must be a hormone thing. Probably training for the actual baby.

My EC was at 4pm and got DH to bring me up a grilled panini, GET IN!

Was Mr Northey OK with doing the early morning delivery round? ;-)

Thank you everyone for telling me not to worry - my 2nd Beta-HCG was around 5000 (didn't get the exact figure) with a doubling time of 32 hours. This is very healthy and in a normal range. I also woke this morning feeling really quite nauseous again, and had to force down my breakfast :) I have made a booking in appointment with the midwife for when I'm 9+6, and my GP is requesting scans for me and said I will get a letter telling me when they are. I am going to arrange a private viability scan locally though at the end of the month.

northey Seven eggs are great, and a lucky number too. I hope you relax and get over EC quickly - lots of water and gentle walking to get yourself ready for ET. Let us know how they grow over the next few days :)

caip Huge congratulations! I hope you have sourced a lot more tests to pee on to watch that line getting darker. Today was the first day since I got my positive I didn't POAS. Although weirdly I've not used the digital ones.

honty I hope your scan went OK today.

isabeller good luck for tomorrow - I'll be on here first thing to see how you get on.

didals euro fairy can I also add I wake at 4.30 on the dot to wee - despite making sure my bladder is empty when I turn the light out at 11pm. Definitely. hormones.

I'm spotting. I know it's quite common but it's still worrying to see. I've had a dull ache in my womb area since I woke up at 4.30 and I hope it is the embryo burrowing rather than anything more worrying. I'm feeling rather resentful that I didn't even get a clear 24 hrs from the result of my blood test to enjoy it!

Euro I know exactly how horrible it is but try to stay calm (easier said than done!) As long as it's not bright red it's completely normal. Just visualise your embryo burrowing deep and getting comfy.

Delilah at the hospital near us there is an early pregnancy unit where you can just rock up, get a number, and you can get an early viability scan for free. They don't ask questions, no need to make up a reason. They totally understand pregnant women get stressed and anxious. (Not so bad that NHS!) Maybe a cheaper alternative to the private scan?

I am booked in for a 7 wk scan but was wondering whether I should go to GP to get myself in to the system (booking appt and mat exemption certificate)? Or will the hospital do that? I can always wait till after the 7 wk scan. Dentist earlier this week didn't charge me for treatment because I am pregnant, nice one! But the pharmacy still charged me for my Cyclogest prescriptions even though the prescription form from the ACU said 'pregnant' in the diagnosis box.

On another note - I know that most of you still have ovaries the size of lemons and feel like you are walking around as if you are carrying two full bladders but how is the libido going for the rest of you? I feel a bit bad for DH, having to entertain himself most of the time, my libido is zero point zero at the moment. My head is too full with other things. I can just about function at work, barely, but that's about it!
