Anyone else want to join me in getting ready for ivf in 2013? Good egg buddies wanted!!!

Hello,

Dh and I have been trying for over 2 years and had one failed ivf (Icsi) attempt at the Argc last spring. We are going to go again in the new year.

I wondered if anyone else was planning to do the same? And whether anyone fancied joining me in 'princessing' (stolen from style & beauty :) ) for ivf?

I'm not sure what this means in terms of what I'll do, really hoping for some help in researching how to get the best eggs ever, and perhaps how to improve dh's little swimmers....

Anyone up for being a good egg buddy?

Sharon luckily I am not too bothered by gynae stuff so I wasn't too tense down there, but it was rather sore as it was only 2 days after EC, and the puncture wounds from that where still new. I could have punched him! But as he seems to have put emBarryo in the right place, I will let him off...

My best friend had her IVF at Guys and speaks highly of them. She had one fresh cycle there (BFN), and two FETs (one BFP twins to singleton and one BFP identical twins). It was really hard after the BFN but she got her whole family from that cycle.

Still grinning about delilah

didals you're a week and a bit ahead of me then - I'm 5+2 (and time is passing very S-L-O-W-L-Y).

fairy I was thinking the same thing, WANT MY SCAN NOW! So unfair your scan is before mine! ;-) I have to wait until Thursday!

If I get an embryo I am going to call it Eric. That's what I wanted to call the puppy but OH wouldn't let me.

You might have a point scarlett. You're certainly putting up a good pitch. Wink

Thanks fairy. I'm a bit conflicted. I am almost phobic about being sick - I am really really not good with vomit. But I would love the reassurance of strong symptoms.

euro A lot of women end up with nausea but no vomiting. I was nauseated almost every day during those 6 weeks but only actually puked twice. So it might not come to that for you either. But there is something reassuring about feeling overwhelmed with those symptoms when otherwise you have nothing to prove to you that there is a babby in there.

Euro I know how much we wish for symptoms, but low level nausea really isn't nice. I can only currently feel OK/non sick if I sit very still somewhere dark and quiet, or if I am out in the cold fresh air away from all nasty smells. Saying that I'm thrilled to feel this way...

Scarlett I love Eric the embryo. Ours are the Pip's at the moment, because that's how big they are.

didals fairy good luck for your scans. Hopefully the time will go quickly.

Sharon Northey everyone else thanks for your support so far. It's thanks to this thread I'm halfway sane.

I'm having more dark reddish spotting, but no pain. Now I know where it's come from I'm a bit calmer, although I really wish it would stop. Lots and lots of rest whilst DH looks after me this weekend.

Fantastic news delilah, am so pleased for you.

sharon it is tough when you hear baby announcements, but we have to try to keep believing that it can happen for us.

hont and northey hope the bench is not too much of a roller coaster, I remember being whacked from the progesterone too.

scarlett loving Eric.

Afm, had day 10 scan of stims today and 2 follicles in the running with hopefully a 3rd one about to join in. Back on Monday for another scan and possibly ec on Weds! I feel even more nervous 2nd time around and a bit worried that I haven't responded quite as well as last time, but as the nurse reminded me 'it only takes one'.

Hello to everyone else I've forgotten.

Shut the barn door delilah - not only preggers but TWINS! You don't do things by half do you!!! I'm over the moon for you and Mr D. You have cheered up my Friday...

north my test date is 6th March! It's so long away I really can't think about it yet! Is yours a week today?

I think I spoke to soon about not experiencing side effects...I couldn't get out of bed this morning and am feeling low...work was pretty stressy today so maybe has something to do with it but the twinges are really unsettling...and have nothing to do with work

The fragmin is a blood thinner...I have no previous so there is no other reason than its part of the clinic protocol...I could do without it though, my tummy is black and blue from the bruises. I HATE it! If I could post pics I would show you how horrendous it is...I can say that as it seems no one else on this thread is on it.

Dildals,Euro,Fairy,Delilah....I hope there are more of us to join you Grin (I hope I didn't miss anyone from the mums to be list)

Happy weekend everyone xx

Hi all

Delilah - that's wonderful news. Well done you ! I actually did an out loud 'awwwwwwww' when I read your post. Gives us all a bit of hope. Xx

I have been off for the last two days feeling like a bag of shit. Down regging is horrid. I had no symptoms then bam hot and cold flushes, headaches, brain full of cotton wool and general feeling pants. Thought I was doing so well up until yesterday morning. Turns out I'm not so invincible after all and I'm a daft old bag to think so. Have just watched Bridesmaids to cheer myself up, whilst taking my jumper off, then putting it back on and off and on etc to try to regularise my distinctly bloody infuriating body temperature. Am hoping I'll feel better tomorrow...

Hi to everyone else. Sorry no more detailed personals but hope you're all doing ok.

Noks x

Northey · 23/02/2013 07:17

Yes, hont, a week today. All my "symptoms" are fading. Well, apart from the enormous breasts. I'm having to wear a bra all the time, so my partner's eyes came out of his head when he caught sight of them in the shower yesterday. They are bigger than they were when I was actually pregnant!

nok, I know I shouldn't laugh, but the on off jumper thing was very funny :)

Had the joy of vomitting this morning, all in a good cause.

Northey which day are you testing on?

Cheers ladies !

Am better today. AF is here and I have never felt so pleased to see the little bitch (apologies - DR'ing has also given me Tourette's) so I think that the drugs are working, which on reflection is a ridiculous assumption to make as I am not a f'king doctor Grin.

All the random boob talk and gratuituous squeezing on here is quite amusing though.

Hope Saturday is treating you well, ladies.

A distinctly sweary (the predictive text made sweary into the word 'sweaty' which WOULD have been accurate 12 hours ago) Noks xx

Next Saturday, supposedly, delilah. Must. Not. Test. Early.

By the way, what am I meant to do with my sharps container? Was it meant to go back to the clinic when I went for EC? Can I just hand it in at my local pharmacy, do you think?

Hello ladies

I'm glad you are feeling better Noks. How long into down regging did you start to feel awful? I start on Thursday and I guess I should give MrSB a heads up. The lovely nurse said that I might feel abit teary and grumpy but it sounds abit worse than that. I get terrible PMT anyway and turn into a weeping banshee b**h from hell before my period.

I am smiling at you all squeezing your boobs!

Hope you are feeling better after the vomiting Delilah. It is all in a massively good cause. Smile
