My follow up letter from the ivf clinic came yesterday, sending me into a bit of a demoralised gloom. I think I still have stupidly high expectations of every contact from a medical professional, so when a letter is basically just a "we met; I took your history, which is this; you're going to come in again for signing stuff; oh, and get your hep b antibody test repeated as the result is missing" sort of thing I end up feeling absurdly deflated.

Northey I spent 2 long years being deflated every time we had An Appointment. It sucks .

Norf, I signed all my ivf consents etc on thurs. Seems a bit crazy, given the earliest I will possibly start is may. But hey ho. Nothing every seems to run in a predictable way.

Have been partaking of off work/hotel away (on Friday night)/holiday seching. Which is good. Am cd28. My body has 3 weeks to muster some sort of droidal activity, and then it's back on the progesterone and then the injections.

My family are local-ish to us. (about 45 min away). Ghj's family are 4 hours away. The past 4 years one of us has worked Xmas day at some point, so we've always gone to my parents, and then to his around new year if possible.

This year we got a bit of grief off his parents so said we would go to theirs. And then they booked a cruise from dec to end of jan!

Ghj's still going up to see friends and his cousin. I've met his cousin a few times, and while is nice, I would really rather be with my family if his mum and dad aren't about. (and cousin has a 6month old. And likes to question me)

So I'm going to mine, he's going to his parents empty house and doing a bt of a tour. This is all a bit controversial.

I have half wrapped the presents. But don't have any gift tags. And I've realised I have nothing for my brother. And the presents are all abit shit.

Feck it. Xmas is all about the food any way.

All my presents are A Bit Shit too, sinks. Apart from the ones I bought for AMNH to give to my parents, into which I put a huge amount of thought. Still, as long as it cements his position as favourite son in law (ha! take that, irritating sister and awful BIL!) it'll be worth it. Because I iz mature like that.

We're off travelling as of the Morrow...two and a bit hours to my dads...then on xmas day a six hour drive to Englandshire for a week with in laws. We'll probably arrive around ten at night but will get xmas dinner number two on boxing day!

I am tempted to go on that fred and say FFS don't start TTC at Christmas. As each one rolls round you will become more and more depressed! like this But then not everyone experiences the barreness. She will have a nightmare time TTC if she is a control freak and already trying the ov sticks!

Anyhoo, I am off work now for Christmas with the exception of working Christmas night but I'm kind of not counting that!

Hmm, weird. Droid, having tailed almost completely away, has reared it's ugly head once more. Grr. It can sodding well go away, I don't want >10 day droids AGAIN. Today is day nine...

Also, HOTB and I have arrived at my parents' house. It is so much more relaxed than the ILs, even though they are not that stressy really. HOTB told ILs about all the infertility woes this morning, I guess we/I should tell mine before we go home too... Not sure I can do it, I have bottled it every time so far.

I'm up early (well, early for a day off) as we are about to go and tackle Waitrose. I'm hoping the emphasis won't be on the wait today. Once that is done I plan to mostly be sitting on my arris for the day. :)
