Congrats weechops and kitten!!!!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 02/01/2013 22:55

Hi twinkle & red we have quit the drink for January too. Really hope it works.

Cd 13 and just dtd and had a bit of a winkle too (no tinkling though Grin). Don't feel like ov is due anytime soon but at least I've got some swimmers in me just in case.

RedRobin1 · 02/01/2013 23:19

I haven't cut out drinking as we probably have 1 unit a month these days. But not had any caffeine for 6 months ( decaf teas only) and trying the organic thing this month with more raw veggies in meals.

Also been put on vitamin d supplements by GP as my levels are low.

Snap when - have also dtd and winkled for nearly half an hour. On cd10 here. Will go for eod for the next couple of weeks.

Well done winkle and when - you are very organised and have obliging DHs don't you!!
As someone else was saying earlier I also can't mention anything about TTC as DH gets all moody and says it ruins dtd etc - men are such divas aren't they sometimes!!!

Well, I'm about 9dpo here and struggling to avoid POAS. Still fairly certain we haven't done enough this month, plus the fact that I've been drinking like a sponge all month!! Wink
Well, I couldn't let TTC affect Christmas when I've been so long without a bfp could I?! If I can make it to the weekend without any of my pre-af spotting then I may POAS then...

Thingymajigs · 03/01/2013 08:58

What is tinkling and winkling? I guess one is to lie down to help the swimmers.
I'm joining in with the alcohol free January although I only have 2 units a month anyway but it's worth a try. Also going to try low carb since I eat far too much rice, potatoes and pasta. It'll be incredibly hard for me to eat enough calories without those but I'll give it a go for a bit. Probably one day until I binge on rice I'd imagine.

twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 09:03

Thingy why not switch to wholemeal / brown versions of carbs? That's what we're doing.

Winkling means to lay with your legs in the air; tinkling means to erm pleasure yourself afterwards as apparently when you orgasm it causes tiny contractions to help the swimmers along! It worked for tedmundo LOL

Weirdly my monitor peaked today? But I'm only on cd11? Extremely early for me. We only started dtd yesterday and will have to dtd tonight and tomorrow too. Hope that's enough.

Kittenkatzen · 03/01/2013 09:11

fatas if it makes you feel any better I spent this 2ww drinking my bodyweight in prosecco, scoffing all manner of mouldy cheeses, pate's, sunny eggs and generally avoiding anything even vaguely healthy :o

Good work with the health kicks though girls, fx it works for you all at once!

Thingymajigs · 03/01/2013 09:33

twinkle I had decided to do that but last night I read that 70g of carbs a day was ideal but I couldn't figure out how to get it that low unless I ate only 600 calories a day. Even fruit and veg is high in carbs. I'm not sure if its possible to live on such low amounts tbh. I think I'll do as you are and switch to brown/wholemeal versions. Surely any reduction is better than none.
Thanks for the explanation. I have apparently been doing a lot of tinkling and winkling over the last 7 months.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/01/2013 09:42

Re the tinkling I think being aroused helps produce more ewcm and generally makes the vagina more sperm friendly (as well as the orgasm contraction benefits to help the swimmers along).

It's a bloody good job we dtd last night. I have pretty much lost my voice today.

LittleMissSnowShine · 03/01/2013 10:16

Puking here since 4am! Feeling envious of ladies engaged in healthy eating practices - im eating the occasional slice of pizza or belvita breakfast biscuit and hoping for the best cos thats all i can keep down!!! Poor baby in there!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/01/2013 11:00

I don't feel sorry for the baby littlemiss he or she will be just fine. It's you I feel sorry for (and a little bit Envy of).

twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 12:33

Wish I was puking from being pregnant!

Did I tell you girls I'm seeing the docs on the 15th for the next stage?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/01/2013 12:38

No I don't think so. Is it a GPs app or consultant? Keep us updated Smile.

LittleMissSnowShine · 03/01/2013 12:47

twinkle - glad to hear that, really hope dr appt is helpful for you.

when - i know, really shouldn't complain, I really really wanted to get up duffed and I knew that having had HG with DS and bad sickness with mc pg in summer there was a very good chance I'd be very ill this time round. And I am. So no surprises! But it's stressful wondering whether to take the tablets GP has given me a prescription for and not being able to look after DS myself Confused Really hope to see you guys over on the grad thread soon tho, where we can all be somewhat stressed and confused together!

twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 14:42

The appt is with the gp to get referred to the next stage. So I can get my tubes flushed.

Hope you feel better soon littlemiss x

RedRobin1 · 03/01/2013 14:52

Good luck Twinkle fingers crossed for you.

I am chewing my nails as my hycosy is next Monday. A wee bit worried about the pain. But if it works, I don't really care about the pain.

Just realised this time last year I was so excited to start popping my pregnacare conception pills :( Boooo to last year!

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 15:18

I also felt a tinge of sadness in December as the previous December I was reading up about how to get pregnant and was full of hope for 2012.

I brought 3 packs of pregnacare conception the other day! Flipping expensive but can't switch to a cheaper brand now 'just in case'. Silly hey!?

I don't think the hycosy hurts as such, prob just a little bit uncomfortable. You're lucky you're having it 6 months into trying, that's great.

RedRobin1 · 03/01/2013 18:00

Wish it was 6months only, but it's been 8 months and getting it done on cycle 9. Just never thought it would take so long. Buying the cheaper alternative to pregnacare doesn't sound like a bad idea!

OP posts:
fatasbutter · 03/01/2013 18:39

This is cycle 9 for me too red - cannot believe how easily I fell pregnant before my mmc (first month!) and now this! So frustrating Hmm

twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 18:50

Sorry red, didn't realise it'd been 9 months.

RedRobin1 · 03/01/2013 20:49

It's ok winkle it'll be our time soon. Just hoping 2013 keeps getting better.

OP posts:
RedRobin1 · 03/01/2013 20:50

fatas when do you POAS? Fx AF stays away this cycle x

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 03/01/2013 22:24
