kitten early friends Christmas sounds lovely. Can't believe the real one is so close now.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 17/12/2012 08:26

Sorry for the BFNs.

littlemiss really glad you are feeling tired and sick Grin got to be a good sign. Fx for today.

twinkle best of luck with the tube cleaning.

I've signed up for the promise trial. Should get more details on it from a consultant this week. [unsure emoticon]

Thingymajigs · 17/12/2012 10:11

Thinking of you today little, hope all is well.
What is the Promise trial when? I've had a quick look and it appears to be about progesterone supplements in early pregnancy.
I'm off to the GP's at 12 to have a chat about everything. I'm sure I'll be pushed back out of the door and told to come back in a year but its worth a go.

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/12/2012 11:56

Thanks everyone! Phoned midwife this morning and she said that since bleeding had eased off over weekend she thought it would be a good idea to wait a couple of days for a scan because if they brought me in this morning and found a heartbeat that would be great but it would be no guarantee bleeding wouldn't just start again. So they are going to bring me in on Wed morning - it's a bit annoying to have to wait a few days but it's not like i'm in pain or bleeding heavily so i'm not an emergency case and there's people who need checked out more urgently than I do so can't really complain too much. I'm just steeling myself for it being bad news though, good news would be an amazing surprise but i don't want to expect anything...

thingy - good luck at the GP, at least if you flag up your concerns now it will be on your file so even if they tell you to keep trying for 6 months or something, whenever you do come back they might be more likely to take your concerns seriously

kitten - my friend had a baby girl last night so also looking forward to some new born cuddles!

RedRobin1 · 17/12/2012 12:15

thingy we saw the GP after trying for 6 months and lied and said we had been trying a longer that 12m. We didn't want to wait a year to find out if something was wrong. In hindsight I am so glad we did, otherwise we would have never known about DH's morphology and Antisperm Antibodies. At least now he's taking vitamins and stopped cycling to stop his nuts heating up and improving the quality of the sperm. Shudder to think how much damage it would have caused to his sperm had we waited a year to get referred. I had waited 2 years to start trying, and then when it didn't happen in 6 months I just wanted to get some answers before I have to wait even longer.

I had my GP appointment this morning and my blood test results have come back normal. LH/FSH are all fine. Very relieved. She didn't think I had pcos and thinks the trainee nurse is highly likely to have made an error in diagnosis Hmm she said I'll have to have more scans done.

little so glad the bleeding has stopped. Hope the clock ticks fast to Wednesday so you can get the scan done. Its horrible to have to wait with such a delicate thing that you have waited for so long.

winkle are you getting the HyCosy done?

OP posts:
Thingymajigs · 17/12/2012 12:53

It all sounds good little. I suppose you won't be able to relax until you see your little one on the screen though. Hope the next two days goes quickly for you.
Good news as well about your results red. Smile I've heard that PCOS is often misdiagnosed. I went today and she was lovely. I felt awful when I lied about trying for 8 months instead of the 6 months in reality. I couldn't go higher than that because she had my medical records. She has set me up for some blood work though because of the lactation issue and luckily there was a cancellation on Thursday so I can get my blood taken. I'm very happy with how it went actually. She was very impressed with my weight loss and general health so I feel like I need a gold star. I just hope my period actually starts tomorrow or I'll have to cancel it.

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/12/2012 13:17

Gold star for you thingy! Two months isn't much of a fib, hope your blood work goes well

red - it's frustrating when they keep telling you that you might have one thing, oh wait a minute, no you don't, what you need is...more tests!! But hopefully they will be able to get to the bottom of things soon for you :)

It's poas day tomorrow, is that right twinkle??

twinklestar2 · 17/12/2012 23:11

I don't POAS I wait for AF to arrive! It's weds... Hope she never comes!

Red - getting referred in the new year for all the next stage of tests and tubes cleaned etc.

Littlemiss - fingers crossed for the scan

Hi to everyone else and sorry for sporadic messages. Life is so busy at the moment.

stickybeans · 18/12/2012 06:42

Fx Littlemiss I too have an early scan-it's tomorrow and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Praying that I hear/see a stong heartbeat.

Fx for everyone waiting to test & Congrats to all the BFP.
Also FX for Jan BFP for everyone still trying.

My scan is at 11a. Will be back with update!!

RedRobin1 · 18/12/2012 08:55

fx she doesn't come winkle - i just keep thinking how nice it would be to get a bfp at the end of this shit year. But i think i am just getting my hopes up and will be so disappointed.

can't wait till the weekend when christmas festivities will be in full swing to take my mind of it.

fx for healthy scans sticky and little

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 18/12/2012 14:38

Fx for healthy scans

I think like that too red but then I think why would it be any different this month? It's never happened before :(

SantaKittenClaws · 18/12/2012 15:18

hey ladies, seems everyone's busy busy with rl stuff atm!

keeping my fx for good scans for little and sticky, and also waving my "bugger off AF" banner for twinkle for tomorrow :)

no real news from me, just had a vv faint +ve opk, hopefully will get a proper +ve later on this evening. Have been dtd eod all month, will try and coax dh into an extra one tonight too Wink.

Oh, for the ladies who wanted an epo update - I took my last epo yesterday morning (CD12). If I get a proper +ve opk tonight then that will mean ov bang on schedule, so no early ov for me. Haven't noticed much of an increase in ewcm, but it def seems to be better quality iyswim, especially today.

Blush seriously, the things we talk about on here haha!!

LittleMissSnowShine · 18/12/2012 17:19

I'm not that busy with RL stuff until after scan tomorrow - everything slightly on hold Confused I told my boss and another girl in work so I have the morning off tomorrow and if it's not good news tomorrow they will cover for me not turning up to the xmas staff lunch tomorrow afternoon. And then I'm off for Christmas whatever happens, so off to see Santa at the zoo on Thurs with DS and SIL and then out for tea that evening with all the in-laws, DH and DS for SIL's birthday. So no matter how tomorrow turns out at least I have loads of plans on Thurs to keep me busy.

Sticky - I think my scan is 10:50 (tho have to phone tomorrow morning and confirm time) so we should be in at the same time. Fx for you (and for me!)

twinkle - hoping AF stays well away this month. If she's due tomorrow and it's Tues evening now...any sign of the witch?? Really hoping not!!!

kitten - hope that's you getting ready for OV tonight or tomorrow then. Good luck dtd and getting the swimmers into position!

twinklestar2 · 18/12/2012 17:21

Love the idea of a bugger off banner!!

weetinselchops · 18/12/2012 18:22

Fx for healthy wonderful scans sticky and little

I will join in with the banner waving for twinkle !

kitten I completely forgot to even buy the epo, never mind take it, ah well.

Dh got home last night and we erm clebrated that fact a little too enthusiastically and I think he broke me slightly! Bit of friction burn in the nethers ouch. Abstaining now for a couple of days, and no + opk yet anyway :)

stickybeans · 18/12/2012 18:56

Had my scan today. I got to see the tiny bean and see the heartbeat! It was 120 bpm. I'm so thankful but still a little cautious/nervous. Just praying it sticks.

Thank you ladies for your support!!!
Baby Dust to all!!!!

alliwantforxmas · 18/12/2012 19:47

stickybeans - that's fab news. Really happy for you. Hope things go well tomorrow with the scan little too.

Had my docs appointment today which went well. Got my LH and FSH results back. All fine (I think), and my thyroid is doing well too, so fx.

All got my first high today (cd9) on my Clearblue Fertility Monitor so dh and I will def be getting jiggy tonight! ;-) x

RedRobin1 · 19/12/2012 08:41

My temps have taken a huge nosedive this morning at 6dpo. And I have woken up feeling really sad and miserable, no symptoms at all. I don't think this is going to be our month. Cried on my drive into work and kept thinking how many times do I have to go through this before it will be my turn to be happy :( :(

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 19/12/2012 09:15

So pleased for you sticky.

Red - could it be an implantation dip? I've heard temp goes down at implantation. I totally get how you feel, I've cried many times on the way to work. So stressed with this ttc, when will it be over for us?

RedRobin1 · 19/12/2012 09:46

I don't know if it is implantation dip as these tend to happen between 7-10dpo so I don't think its that. I just feel so negative today though. Berating myself for stupidly believing it will happen this month. Just because its Christmas. Like that will work!

Like you said winkle if it hasn't happened before why should this month be any different - sorry for being so negative, just having a bad day today :(
I so want that bfp to happen for you winkle....more than I want it for myself.

resipsa · 19/12/2012 11:11

Hi everyone. Just about managed to pull myself out of CD1 gloom (on CD6 - it seems to take longer each month).

littlemiss fx for your seeing a healthy bean today.

red sorry, no words of wisdom but hope you feel better later. I was counting today the number of friends who are expecting in the first half of next year. I gave up when I got to 8...I hope I can add you to the list for the seconf half, though.

when just been reading about the trial. It's got to be worth a shot (but I hope you get the real thing, not the placebo!).

winkle any sign of AF or can we be tentatively excited for you?

SantaKittenClaws · 19/12/2012 11:39

Morning (just about!)

res sorry about AF :( well done on picking yourself up though. Is the witch on her way out now then? And does that put you at ov'ing around christmas day-ish? That's a nice thought at least..

red big hugs for you, I wish there was something we could say to make you feel better, but a virtual hug will have to do :(

sticky yay for your healthy bean, so pleased for you!! :)

little and winkle I have my fingers crossed for you both today (am I'm still waving that banner!:o)

So a quick opinion poll if you don't mind ladies: I had a faint +ve opk at about 3pm yesterday, followed by a very slightly darker +ve at about 8pm, and then a proper fully +ve this morning. BUT I failed in my mission to dtd last night or this morning, so the last dtd was Monday night :( (dh too tired Angry )

So basically do you think if we dtd tonight it'll be too late? Have we missed our chance for this month?

resipsa · 19/12/2012 11:47

Hi red. Bet we've all done a LOT of reading on this subject! I'm sure when god DD out of DTD 5 days before ov so am sure yours on Monday counts; the spermies have got to swim quite a way to be in the best place! Equally, the wisdom seems to be that egg drops up to 48 hours after +ve and stays "alive" for up to another 24 hours so I think you're on for tonight and tomorrow! Lucky OH!

resipsa · 19/12/2012 11:48

Hi red? Can I not read or type today? I meant kitten!

RedRobin1 · 19/12/2012 12:26

kitten agree with res Jump him tonight to be on the safe side. Your Monday night's dtd would still be fine to cover the egg. But always good to keep the sperm supply going till 3 days after a +ve OPK.

Was your OPK this morning darker than last nights at 8pm?
